Launch x431 Won't update not enough storage, how to expand storage

- The Launch x431 only comes with 16gb of storage and wont allow updates, i show how to take case off and get to the sd slot to add more storage and allow for updates.

I put a 256gb in mine.. It's working great.
The lenovo tablet has the SDXC standard, so it theoretically should handle up to a 2Tb microSD.

If you guys are in the same position: do factory reset on the tablet/ fully format SD card/ redownload launch/ update everything. This will give it the best longevity after your free updates run out.

Yeah unfortunately it's a pretty rough last minute video
Had to do this to mine. It is a big deal to me , launch had to know these would run out of storage before all the updates were installed. Also I have seen a video we're the last update this yr has topology in the x431 prov+ and it appears some got the topology and some didn't.
Yeah my launch is about 4 years old and I wasn't suppose to get an update but it keept bugging me about the update so I let it do it and it didn't charge me and it's a totally new menu system etc.

Yes I have the autel maxi sys and between the 2 I use the launch almost exclusively now it's a very powerful somewhat fast scan tool and great for the price. That's the main reason I use it over the autel now is it seems faster.
I lost the information that I had updated. Now I don't know how to retrieve what I did have. it is expensive to buy again
I would contact launch's support they are usually pretty helpful

sir why if i move a data to my sd card there will pop out in the screen saying "not enough storage"??
Did you mount it correctly your tablet must not be recognizing it as extra storage
How do you move data or files from internal storage to the SD card? Mine keeps loading updates to the internal storage. It only moves pics etc to the SD card. If I hit the 3 dots on top right on the SD card storage it sais convert to external storage so I assume the card is set to internal storage right now.
