Interview with Jason Egan - The man behind the REAL FNaF Location

- While making the FNaF Fright Dome video and digging for info, I had reached out to the man behind Fright Dome to ask a few questions, and luckily enough he agreed to do a video interview! This is not the full 2 hour interview because CZcams would kill me if I uploaded a two hour video but I edited it down enough and kept a lot of interesting details from our long conversation!
I wanna give a HUGE thank you to Jason for agreeing to talk with us, he is an absolute creative legend and getting to chat with an artist like him is an experience I will remember forever, and the fact we got someone so dedicated to his craft to work with the FNaF license for our first real life glimpse at the characters is something that deserves to be remembered in the 7 long years FNaF has been around.
The fact he put aside time on his busy schedule working on his current attractions and projects to talk about his time with FNaF and Fright Dome means a lot to Reagan and I, and I hope you all watching also enjoy watching this as much as we did making it happen!
And HEY, this might not be the end of Jason Egan and FNaF! We'll have to wait and see what the future holds!
also HUGE shoutout to Reagan (for editing consultation and being there for the interview!) and Joel (for appearing in the video and making all the character sprites!) for helping with the video, make sure to check them out here!

Genuinely the MOST FUN I've had collaborating with you. This was far past the work we did on the fright dome video, and being a part of such a monumental moment really made me extremely grateful!! Thanks for having me and I can't wait for what the future holds! Cheers gamer! :3

It's so great seeing passionate creative people talking about their craft and how they've inspired each other. This is a really genuine interview and it's been a great motivation boost for my own horror-inspired creative projects. Keep up the killer content!
I agree with him about Chucky E Cheese, they just kept taking stuff away and down sizing and I ended up writing an essay for school about too. Alot of the articles said it was for financial reasons and the animatronics were not taken care of well and they wanted to "appeal to parents" by adding more food items toning downs the colors and lights and changing the music, I have no idea what the band had to do with but that's what they said. The guy who made the Rock-afire Explosion still has the rights to the characters and one of the articles I read said he was going to make a traveling show with them. Also funfact: Chuck E Cheese ended up buying the Rock-afire Explosion animatronics and wanted to make more of them so they could add them into their band but they didn't have the rights to the characters and could not get them so they made new skins for the animatronics. What I think is funny is that Mitzi Mozzarella became Helen Henny, this funny to me because Mitzi was originally Queenie the Fox meaning this animatronic was a fox, mouse, and hen. Also I don't like Mitzi just because she kinda scares me but Helen was my favorite when I was little. I JUST TYPED THIS FROM MEMORY IF I GOT SOMETHING WRONG PLEASE BE NICE AND CORRECT ME. If you want the sources just ask I'm sure I can find my essay and it's cited page. Wow I typed alot, I'm less than 10 minutes and couldn't help but write a long comment about Chucky E Cheese lol.
chill bro, you wrote a whole fan fiction of you and Charles Entertainment Cheese falling in love
7:55 you know what, let me give CEC some advice on why kids no longer look at their animatronic bands: it’s because they don’t feel special. Like they just kinda feel awkward compared to all the other high tech stuff in a Chuck E Cheese’s. So if they really want kids to look at them, MAKE THEM FEEL SPECIAL. Actually close the curtains when they aren’t performing, update their mechanics to actually feel alive, heck maybe even use that idea in I think the 90s where the animatronic Chuck would turn around to look like the mascot Chuck and animatronic Chuck are the same. And even if you guys don’t want to do that, there’s still potential with robotic bands. Maybe you could go with the idea of just the bare endoskeletons performing (obviously with a few changes so it’d be harder to mess with them). It’d eliminate the problem of making them feel alive because robots don’t need to feel alive, and it’d bring in fans of robots like Wall-e and R2-D2. I don’t know, it just feels a bit dumb to just throw in the towel and literally throw out the robots. Next thing you know, they’ll drop Chuck E Cheese as a mascot.
Great video, the Fright Dome attraction is such an interesting and obscure piece of FNaF history and it's awesome to see it get the widespread recognition it deserves all these years later. Us outsiders never really stood a chance at experiencing the attraction back then because of the "no photos" policy as well as Sister Location being the center of attention in the FNaF community at the time, so I'm glad you of all people were able to give everyone a peek behind the curtain. It was also refreshing to hear someone say good things about Scott after everything that's happened this past year. Jason seems like an awesome guy, hope you get some cool stuff in that care package he mentioned!
It's sure is nice to see you did an interview with the man behind the REAL FNaF Attraction, Jason Egan, and even knowing the backstory behind the attraction itself and for some products that were used for the event of the Fright Dome. Also I'm also excited for some other upcoming FNAF Attractions that we will be having this year and beyond. As always, great video bro
How inspiring! That's so cool that he knows about your work already dude! And he knows how hard us cosplayers have worked to imitate what they did at the Fright Dome, that means so much ❤️
This is INSANE!!! can’t believe he thinks we don’t know what Showbiz is 😭 I can’t wait to see what he commissions you for, that’ll be interesting to see!
After listening to this interview, I’m so excited for the future of FNAF!
I know you didn’t get as many views on this type of video than you did with your rockstar Freddy videos, but please don’t be discouraged from making these types of videos! I always enjoy in depth interviews and analysis of things, especially about things like the fright zone attraction. It’s one of those things that is not predominantly online and only contained in the people that have been there. You containing and concentrating all the information you have gathered in videos for people to see and remember is amazing. I also really enjoy the time you take to make your videos high quality and enjoyable. All your videos and cosplays are beautiful and I hope you keep creating. I’ve made this too long, I’ll end it here.
Is incredible how he started stared to all those events stuff that he created and making it Tito real life what people really enjoyed for about 15 years
LMAO. I just finished helping a customer and unpaused the video and the first thing I heard was, "was there any ball spillage?" I WAS TRYING SO HARD NOT TO LAUGH
Lol I would’ve died
that's amazing dude!!!!

Hey, I'd love to see a new FNAF attraction! I'm glad this guys open to it. Hopefully Scott's open to making another attraction in the furture.
This was a amazing interview!!!
I always wanted to go there but it was super limited and it was in Las Vegas
I always wanted to get a prop from the attraction but sadly most of the stuff got dismantled or just in storage.
I didn't even know they had shirts!!
BRO AT THAT ONE PART WHERE THAT ONE GUY SAID “you might know me from such classics as-“ IT CUT OFF AND STARTED AN ADD AND THE FIRST WORD WAS HUMPTY DUMPTY IM CRYING HELP
always love hearing about obscure media when it comes to fnaf , great video!
I wish I would of been able to visit Fright Dome when they had that attraction back then, Would of been hella fun, Awesome video!
Yes we get more on this amazing event
It’s cool to know that soon we’re gonna get more IRL FNAF stuff soon. If you don’t in which you probably do that we’re gonna actual Freddy’s pizza, the people who do Mr Beast Burger is doing a collaboration with FNAF to do pizza at little locations.
I gotta admit dude your Freddy costume is on point it looks professionally done even the spring trap costume is legit like gat damn! did you work in costume design before my dude because if you did it freaking shows, well done my guy, well done
When the monitor was coming down and you kept saying “alrigh- alri- alright” I lost it 😂

I can’t believe he has genuine faz balls
There’s a chuck’e cheeses that exists near enough for me to visit. Last time I was there was when I was around 5-6 when I my baby sitter took me there a few times. Yeah for me lookin back on it, it was a real place. I had 2 birthdays there aswell and still have my chucke cheese coin.
congrats!
In 1983-87 there was this resturaunt what my grandpa worked at then in 1987 it closed because of a very real "bite" and how i have proof is he has a 1987 freddy fazbear plush.
I did see Cory come there a long time ago… seriously😎

I wonder what this is gonna be like
Y love you because you are the best
I’ll sub to anybody who can tell me how many times Jason said “That’s aMaZiNg”
If I had the money to spare, I’d build my own FNAF Freddy Fazbear’s replica…heck I’d even build a “Mega Pizzaplex” copy out of an old mall if I could afford it. At the very least I would make a Glamrock Chica, Glamrock Ballora, or Roxanne Wolf costume.
You should have asked if he was going to make a real life five nights at Freddy's pizza place. Like- to eat and stuff
LIGHTNING MCQUEEN BEHIND YOU AND REMEMBER I'M A BIG FAN OF CARS

oh
All that cool stuff from the 80’s to the early 2000’s that aren’t a thing anymore that were really good and cool… I want it back, but not modernized. Modernizing just ruins it.
It would be cool if you made your CZcams profile picture into a actual costume
I NEED HELP FROM YOURS. ASAP. PLS :D
Hello
you picked the wrong person to get angry to
Bro (DaRegularSauce) please respond it's already a new year bro 💀🙏
