Having been a subscriber for years and knowing how much Markus loves the A7iii, it makes perfect sense that he prefers the image out of the original a7c because it’s the same one from the A7iii. This just goes to show this man knows what he’s talking about and is consistent with his preferences. Love this channel.

Long time watcher but first time entering as I'm saving for an A7C2 or A7CR. When I went to your entry page I saw where it had the winners and I am just in AWE at how much you have given back / away. I've always appreciated how you do these videos, show things and break down what does or doesn't matter with gear and what really matters... But really, I don't think there's another CZcamsr like you.

Found your camera/video site only recently Markus but followed your health stuff in the past. Thank you for reigniting my filming passion and also for the awesome tips and tricks you’ve provided. Really love how you put your info together. Shame I can’t enter a comp as I could do with some better equipment, but I’m in the U.K. still it’s not the equipment right? I’ve a canon 90D, an M50, 3 Go pros and an old JVC mini camcorder that I dug out after seeing some of the work you’ve done with old camcorders. Dude it’s pretty awesome. I’m a bit of a motorcycle fanatic so any tips on filming, photography for bikes would be cool 😎 cheers man 🤘

Not sure if anyone reads this, but 4 months ago I was contemplating videography and knew nothing about this...had some spare cash to buy my first used semiprofessional camera and during my research I found MarkusPix doing a review on some cameras and helped me decide on one. I got my JVC LS300 and ...it's clunky but I love it! SInce then I've gotten an G5 a gimbal and 4 manual lenses which I am using to learn. I could not be more happy than finding someone who is passionate about cameras and explains so well on how to's. Thank you so much! Just wanted to leave this here.
I've watched your channel for a while now like photography and video and I like your channel because of the LETS HAVE FUN WITH IT MENTALITY will keep watching the videos this is a good one. I myself tested my Fuji x pro2 against a few of my old Olympus ccd sensor cameras and the Fuji also has a greenish tint I adjusted the color in the camera and it's better now.

More than that switch I'm liking just the possibility of winning that camera that's been used by Mr. Markus! Oh man, that would be something! Added value in my heart would be multiplied by a 1000!
2:46 can definitely see what you mean. Looks a little more harsh, but hey I'd love something smaller than my G9 to just grab and go.
Also, I'd love to see you make an in-depth video all about iso for beginners. I've seen gorgeous shots taken using both high and low iso. And while I can see the difference in grain, I'm not sure if all of my efforts to keep it as low as possible are worth missing a potential shot. Would love to have your advice and feedback.
A7III for stills and A7C for videos is my Markus Pix recommended setup and I love it!

Recently got into the Sony ecosystem and happy with the lens selection so far. Think this would be a great cam to pair with the modern Sonys.
New subscriber but been watching the chanel for a while now. I shoot crop sensor (a6500) currently and have always thought about going full frame, thanks for the advice as I still want to keep a compact body, so the a7C will get my attention if I dont win the give a way! Love the switch on the a7m4 for me it improves it so much. Interesting how people differ.
Yes, coming from a camera that previously didn't have a switch (X-S20), it's such a pain to move the mode dial constantly. I want video + aperture priority, well, cant' have that, I need to move the dial 5 places to get into video mode and then use the camera menu. Then I need to move the dial back 5 places and of course always miss the aperture priority and have to look down and adjust the dial, that's pulling teeth. The photo/video switch is game changing for hybrid shooters in my opinion, I didn't really get any actual reasons in the video for not liking it? - seems strange. If you want photos only, don't touch it, if you want both, it's a massive quality of life improvement...
Same for the white balance, every other review comments about how much the colour science has improved compared to the A7 III / A7C days...
Would be an absolutely amazing upgrade from my Samsung s22 ultra that's for sure, this man is the goto for all camera related subjects he's amazing❤

I've just been looking at the A7C and A7C II, trying to decide between the two, wondering if I should give FF a try (been using MFT for the past 10 yrs). Good to know Markus prefers the OG A7C as that's what I decided on (used) but haven't taken the plunge yet!
I've had both and could never go back to the OG. I do miss the leather grip on the Mark 1 but they dial you hate, I love😁. dual native iso is a lot better and and just an all around faster camera. with its quick start up, and sensor protector when turned off.

@Markus, can issue with green white balance shift be fixed with custom white balance setting using grey card that is
slightly shifted to the red side? Red is the opposite of green on a color wheel, so it might help. I wonder if even rosy color gel sheet atop of neutral grey card work. It will be interesting experiment to try and will be tied with your existing videos of custom white balance setup. It will create custom grey card for specific camera.
