HERE IS MY THEORY on what happened !
So, Kel what depressive, and she tryed to kill herself by jumping off a bridge. She fell into coma and she was drowing (the begin of the first music "Help me") . 3 ghosts came to save her, by telling them their lives and what they learnt from it ("100 years", "Still dancing", "Karma"). At the end, she woke up, inside a hospital room, and thank to the ghosts, she wanted to keep living on. I don't think that she died, because we never saw her as a full ghost, or even dead.
My theory is that the hearts on the ghosts means that they were content with thier lives,and the clover on kel is means that she was gonna look forward to life and "live on"

I thought so too. The first song kept having the ghosts say "Don't be here to stay", so combined with her being in water at the start, I suspected she was having a near-death experience of some kind. I'm just torn on whether she jumped or slipped on accident
See thats what I was thinking because the ghost talk about how they failed and how they lost their chances but theh tell clover she still has a chance to live also I love how these amazing songs tell an even more amazing story
When Kel fell off the bridge, the ghosts just looked at each other like "Well... uhhh... I hope she can swim..."

I like how they have a past, present, and future thing going on. George looks back on the memories, Brenda appreciates what she still has left, and Dave is faithful for what is to come.

In a certain way, George represents the past, he's happy remembering of the memories he made with the one he loved
Brenda the present, even if her disease "grew" she was still happy with what she had
And Dave the future, he didn't listen to the people and kept working to make his dreams come true

Maybe no one will ever read this, but here we go. Despite not hearing it for months, the feelings this song sparks on me still make me cry to this day, as it makes me think of an abrupt ending of a really happy period of my life, and how it helped me keep going despite everything. Today I'm a lot better than I was, probably in part to the song itself, as insignificant as it may seem to some. Thanks or3o for this whole series. Thank you a lot 💚

This is amazing I sang it out loud and started sobbing.
I think I finally get it, Kel has been in a coma since her suicide attempt, the lessons of the ghosts were stories that the grandma (AKA Brenda & George's daughter/Dave's wife) told to Kel while she was in the coma. Because the grandma witnessed every single story, she watched Brenda get sicker and motivated her to keep moving on, she watched George's grief and helped him feel better from losing Brenda when he got back from the war, she watched Dave's struggles and helped him believe in himself. The grandma is the one singing the last part of the song, she's reminding Kel that even though Dave is important to both of them, the grandma is still living on, and Kel should too. If you're a bit skeptical, look at Brenda's section of Living On, you see her daughter, except older and identical to the grandma. The picture next to Kel's hospital bed shows the grandma and the grandpa (who is Dave), the younger version of the grandma (seen in the picture) looks like George's daughter from 100 Years and she also looks like Dave's wife from Karma. So without a doubt they're all the same character. Meaning the grandma links all of these characters together, think of her as the stem of the clover, with each ghost and Kel being the leaves. Which also explains why the voice singing at the end of Living On sounds similar but not identical to Kel's voice in Help Me (even though OR3O sings both).
Edit: Also I believe that in the scene where Kel attempts suicide, the ghosts represent the grandma, she tried to keep Kel from doing it, but Kel either let go or slipped. The grandma immediately called for paramedics which explains how Kel survived, albeit in a coma.

I see a lot of people asking why Dave was lumped in with Brenda and George despite succeeding while they got sad endings, but look at it this way: they each got the ending where they did the best with what they had. Dave may have clearly succeeded, but George, despite not winning his love back, lived happily to the ends remembering the great times they had together, and Brenda was able to dance till the end despite her disease growing worse, able to clap, then sing, then dance in her head and when she died she was free to dance again. All three kept up good spirits (pun intended) and got the best possible outcome with what they had, and were co tent with what they got, and able to help more people after they were gone, a job they seem quite happy with.
Theory:And I think of it this way we sorta know George and Brendas death (Because we got to see it)is because George symbolizes past and Brenda symbolizes present (what they talk about in their songs)and we already lived and saw the past and are living the present so we see what’s going on,we don’t see the future and Dave symbolizes future so that could be why we don’t see Dave’s death.(or it could have focused more on Dave’s success)
@@honey_bear5099 Makes sense. Dave's dead now, and he's accepted that. And, as the song makes clear, he's not one to focus on the past or gripe over things he can't fix. Dave's death isn't brought up because his whole life philosophy is about not focusing on your past, but looking forward. Revenge only delays and his time's not worth the wait. He'll keep moving forward, even in death.

@@C0MET_1 Actually, i've seen a comment saying that he may be assassinated, because in the music video, Karma, he could have been assassinated as said so, by the scene near when Dave says "I feel so good to sing our after silence" and after a few lines, you would see people trying to fire, but even after that, he was still alive, which somehow what symbolises that he *was* assassinated.

Here for the summary timeline:
George and Brenda met each other.
Brenda got pregnant because of George.
She left him not knowing she was pregnant to pursue her dreams.
When Susie was born Brenda raised her alone.
When Brenda is about to die she told Susie who her father was.
Susie met George.
George became a father and dedicated his life to Susie.
Susie met Dave and got married.
George died.
One of Kel's parents is Dave and Susie's child.
Kel was born.
Thus making Dave the grandfather of Kel.
Dave died due to cancer.
Kel got comatose due to depression
Susie visited her granddaughter Kel when she woke up.
Basically, Susie lost a mother from a young age, found her father whom she didn't knew, a lover who died to cancer, and was about to lose a grandchild. And still carried on. She's a trooper, and a gigachadette.
She was also the driving factor of all 4 of them. Brenda's source of hope was her, George love for Brenda was increased due to her, Susie's support for Dave's works made Dave fight for his faith, and made Kel realize that she's lucky that the one waiting for her in the real world is Susie.

Because of bullying at school, her parents not believing in her dream and verbally abusing her, and the loss of her grandpa who was the only one who believed in her, Kel, tried to end her own life by jumping off a bridge. She was found and was sent to the hospital where she suffered from a coma. In her dream, the three spirits help her with her worries by telling her stories of their past lives. George tells her how he lost his *love* and yet was still in *love* with the lady through death. This is most likely Brenda! Look at the bangs and hair color, they're actually very similar! The *woman* who helped George when he had his heart attack is important so keep her in mind. Brenda's story tells how she lost her ability to move her legs, arms, and even her entire body, but it was her *daughter* who taught her to not lose *hope* and keep dancing anyway. Keep this girl in mind as well. Dave's story focuses on how he never gave up on his dream of being a famous cartoonist and kept *faith.* Even if his dream was slandered by bullies and the big CEO, he never lost *faith.* Dave ended up marrying a *woman* who loved his drawings. This woman is very important as well, keep her in mind. In this video, Kel is given the luck by the spirits to keep living on and wakes up from her coma. She finds a special clover charm in her hand. This was given to her from her grandfather before he passed. Her grandmother comes to visit her. She will think of the stories the spirits told her and will remember what they told her. The woman (who's name is actually Suzie) who helped George, Brenda's daughter, Dave's wife, and Kel's grandmother were the same person the entire time. If she wasn't there, George wouldn't have had that little bit of time left to continue to feel *love,* Brenda wouldn't have the *hope* to keep dancing, and Dave wouldn't have had enough *faith* to continue trying to succeed. Dave is Kel's grandfather who passed away, Brenda would be Kel's great grandmother, and George is the father of Susie, making him Kel's great grandfather. Kel will continue living on and continuing her dream to be a successful musician no matter what anyone says. Clover tells us to never give up, follow our dreams, never listen to any of the toxic people that put us down, and *always* keep living on. 🍀

My own little verse:

I just noticed that the three Gost tell three ways to "heal" from tragic or sad events, the 100 years one tells of how to never forget the good memories, the Dancing one is of keeping moving one no matter what, and the drawing one tells of ignoring the hate and mindless critics of other and instead to focus on what you love.
okay, my theory: Kel tried to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge, but failed and ended up in a coma or ended up very seriously in the hospital, at that time she was dying, but the 3 ghosts went to help her, saving her life when she was near to death. She wakes up and sees that her grandmother went to visit her, which is George's daughter, and that would make him her great-grandfather, and if we take into account that Brenda and George may have been together, that would make Brenda her great-grandmother, having the two a direct connection to Mal, they were saving his great-granddaughter. The only thing I could not find was relationship between Dave and Kel, but I liked doing this, it is the first theory that I do
From rewatching the videos it seems that Dave is Kel's grandpa. In 100 Years George's daughter is seen with a watch that has a dog's paw print on it and in Karma a woman with the same watch picks up his drawing and puts her hand on Dave's shoulder in the theater. In Living On when the grandmother comes into her hospital room she is seen wearing a watch
The connection I think with Dave and George’s daughter was that the woman who help George be better was that same woman. As his muse

Here's the story (Or atleast, how I interpret it):
George (100 years):
What George meant about losing his love leans more about her dying than her rejecting him (or they could've broken up but that's debatable). In his whole life he never gave up his love for her. Till the day he had a stroke and his daughter bought him to the hospital.
Brenda (Still Dancing):
Brenda dreamed of becoming a dancer and so she did. She is married to George and had a daughter together. When she had a disease, she started losing hope but her daughter cheered her on untill she died.
Dave (Karma):
Dave was bullied for his dreams but didn't let that stop him. After being fired from the animation studio he was working in, he met a woman and fell in love. After all his hard work, he became successful and was married to the person he loved, he had a son and he also had a granddaughter. He had cancer then died.
Kel (Help Me):
Kel was depressed. She was bullied, her parents are unsupportive, and her grandpa, died. In the end she finally had enough and decided to commit suicide by jumping down the bridge and drown. She was rescued but fell into a coma after that. During her coma, she met the 3 ghosts and panicked. After calming down a little, she recognized one of the ghosts who reached out to her. It was her grandpa Dave. This started triggering her memories with him and so realized that they are not there to harm her and so accepted their help.
George, Brenda, Dave, and Kel (Living On):
The ghosts then told their life stories to Kel, showing her their struggles and how they overcame with. George was there when she was grieving Dave's death, giving her LOVE, Brenda was there when she felt hopeless, giving her HOPE, Dave was there when she was being gloomy and put down, giving her FAITH. After that, Kel was staying too long that she was slowly dying and becoming a ghost like them so they had to let her go. But before doing that, they reminded Kel to put and remember them in her heart. So when she got to the door, she couldn't open it, but she remembered the encouragement given to her by her ancestors. With George's LOVE, Brenda's HOPE, Dave's FAITH, and combined with Kel's LUCK, the door to life opens and she finally woke up. She remembered all the things her ancestors said while holding on to the pendant Dave gave her before he died as a reminder. Then her grandma came and she promised that she'll be living on.
Suzie (Secret Theme):
Suzie is the one reoccurring character that connects them all. She was George and Brenda's daughter, the woman who helped George to the hospital, Dave's wife, and also Kel's grandma. She was there for George when Brenda died, was there for Brenda when she was restrained by her disease, and she was there for Dave when he he failed and was let down, she also became one of Kel's major reasons to keep living on for she was there for her.

So what I'm trying to say is that their stories are equally beautiful for it all connects. It isn't easy losing a loved one so applause to George who still kept her in his heart till the bitter end. Kudos to Brenda for not giving up hope despite the obstacles her disease gave her since most people stop whenever an obstacle is in their way. And credits to Dave who didn't give in to what others said and still have faith despite all the bad things that happened to him since it's not really that easy getting up after falling down. And love to Kel for being lucky to be alive and decided to keep living on. And also a HUGE PROPS to Suzie who was there for everyone when they were feeling down.

My theory is that Kel actually met all the ghosts when she jumped off the bridge. They tried to save her then but she let go and the series started right after in the song Help Me.
After that, Kel was in a coma and learned all the lessons from the songs released afterward (100 Years, Still Dancin', and Karma).
In this song we see her understanding all the lessons that George, Brenda, and Dave have taught her, each of them representing a point in time. George always looks back at the past as a reminder to stay positive, Brenda teaches that the present is what you have so you need to experience and appreciate it before it's gone, and Dave shows that if you keep hope for the future you can continue to move throughout life towards that future. They each give her their heart/lesson until she has all of them, including her broken one. Together, they make a clover that represents the good luck charm her grandfather gave her before he passed.
The last lesson is her own. Kel's lesson is something that's implied, but not really shown. If I had to guess it would be something about perspective because that's what she gained when talking to the ghosts of those before her. With this lesson, Kel realizes that she still has people in her life to help her through her troubles, even when everything else seems to have turned for the worst. Her heart isn't broken anymore and she goes back to the living world.
Kel wakes up from her coma, never forgetting what she learned in that time asleep.
It is a lot better than the alternative

Something to notice: In the final scene, before Kel wakes up, a vase of pink and yellow flowers are on a table on the left side of the room. These very well may be Clover flowers, which represent protection and are often used as a charm against negativity. However, after Kels grandmother enters the room, the vase completely disappears and there's now a framed photo on the bedside table beside the hospital bed. The photo is of Kel and her grandparents This might just be an animation error or something I'm looking too deep into, but the flowers could symbolize the ghosts helping Kel and protecting her but when she wakes up, shes safe with her grandmother and doesn't need them anymore, so the flowers disappear and the picture appears beside her. Again, I might just be seeing things, but Clover hit me in the feels with this one so yeah I'm gonna pick things apart. I might add more things I notice in the replies of this comment but who knows
0:17 when Kel is on the sidewalk (I know others have noticed this but I'm just pointing it out) I'm pretty sure that's the same dance that George does in 100 years but I could be wrong. Not sure what this could mean if anything, but I thought it was neat
1:56 this one is more just me making a wild guess and misinterpreting the animation style so take this one with a cup of salt. If you look closely at when Kel falls and the ghosts grab her, she seems to be leaning backwards and so are the ghosts, as if trying to pull her up (again, THIS IS PROBABLY JUST THE ANIMATION BEING FUNKY WITH ITS MOVEMENT) but it seems a little more intentional to be there on the following shot where Kel actually falls. Before she does though you can see after she lets go, that her hand is falling back with her while the three ghosts hands seem to be reaching for her (this is more visible with Brendas and Georges, but if you squint, Dave's hand moving forward too) and then she falls and the three ghosts look at eachother. This begs the question, did she let go of them, or did they let go of her? We know that the ghosts didn't want her to stay (as said in Help Me several times) so as wholesome as it is, it wouldnt make much sense for them to make her stay. I think that when the three ghosts grabbed Kel before she fell, that was them reassuring her that they'd be with her (in the shape of the clover) and that everything was going to be okay. And they knew that Kel would be okay, otherwise I don't think they would have just stood there and looked at eachother after she fell. But then, why does it seem like they were reaching for her and trying to pull her up? Im not exactly sure, but this scene was one of the ones that hurt me the most. Stay tuned for more.

This is a great detail I just noticed:
At 0:43 when Brenda said 'Think of what you still have left', Kel only sees her parents (who were not the greatest towards her, and sucked pretty hard) but Brenda spins her around to try and show Kel her grandma at 0:45, but she turns around to look for Brenda before she notices. One of those 'blink and you'll miss it' moments that shows a startlingly wonderful attention to detail. Yet another reason to love Clover!

My own theory is that Kel had major depression and maybe ptsd from bullying and her home life. She always went to her grandfather to escape it all, but he died. With his death Kel couldn't think of a reason to keep living so she went to the bridge and jumped. She was close to death, but she was taken to the hospital and went into a coma. While in a coma the ghosts told her their stories, and how they lived their lives. Each of them taught Kel something, hope, determination, and keeping your loved ones close.
When Kel was at the door she almost died and turned into a ghost but she wanted to keep living that's what fixed her broken heart and completed the clover. With that hope and persistence she was able to wake up from coma. After waking up she see's the clover that her grandfather gave her. After all that she was able to see her grandmother again.

In Kel's song in the description I think it says that she has depression, so that confirms that part
OMG....that makes sense-
HEY GUYS MAYBE THE PART OF "Lucky kitten" (bc George was "love" Brenda "hope" and Dave "faith") is because she didn't die from jumping! she got lucky (also, this thing about her being lucky af... maybe that can be connected with the four-leaf clover and the usual meaning of being lucky if you found one!)
Adding on to your theory, we see that Kel slowly starts losing her color and turning white like the ghosts when she’s sad. I feel like this is symbolic of their suicidal thoughts/ ideations because the first time we see this happen is in the beginning of the song when Kel is crying at her grandfather’s grave. She sees shes losing her color (turning into a ghost) and smiles, probably feeling happy to die because she would be able to be with her grandpa. The ghosts stop her from losing her color until the end, showing her that life is worth living. When she finally does almost lose all her color is when she gets dropped/ falls from the bridge. She panics, and it’s not until she herself realizes that she doesn’t want to die (I guess) that she wakes up from her coma.

man i cant believe i didnt know these songs had music videos. ive been listenting to them on soundcloud so much since they came out, especially karma and living on since they really hit close to home for me (and i listen to them/sing them when life once again stabs me in the back after making me believe it was finally getting better). the videos add so much more to them and i cried so much that my eyes hurt, probably because now with the added information that kels grandfather died (as mine did about when the first half of songs were out) and they generally have the same struggles as i do (trying to cope with a loved ones death, bullies, kinda awful parents, really bad intrusive thoughts etc) i may have gotten a lot more emotional this time around. thanks for making this.
Timeline theory: After the death of her grandfather, Kel is so sad she commits suicide by jumping off of a bridge. Then she meets the 3 ghosts in the subsequent coma that she is locked in. She listens to the stories of the ghosts, who are each only her subconscious mirroring her story back at her. Each of the stories follow a simple formula: 1. something loved is lost. 2. They keep doing what they do best without the thing. These tales are enough for Kel to do the same, with the final lyrics being her accepting the loss of her loved one and promising to do what she does best. I believe that the mystery white stuff that appears in certain places on Kel at certain points is her sadness.

Kesley is dave granddaughter. dave married Brenda's daughter- and while having a baby (Kelsey's dad), Brenda's daughter (dave's wife) meets George and helps him. so the oldest one is George, and then Brenda, then dave. DID I JUST-

the timeline is
the oldest one is George, George having a war clip in his mv, we don't know which war is it and what, he survived and lived till he died at age 100 (not confirmed.) and then Brenda is the second oldest one. (not confirmed, but this theory also comes from Brenda sitting and listening to George songs in George's mv). she dreaming wanted to be a tap shoe dancer which invented in the 1700s and get popular in the 1920s (you can totally see a tap shoe dancer publicly at that time) and she had a baby, we don't know how old are her daughter is. sadly, Brenda got diseased.. and died, she died when her daughter still young. and then comes to Brenda's daughter's story: she lived in a city where dave work with his animation. the first animation invented in 1908 and get popular in 1928 and then got more popularity in 1965. once again, we don't know when dave started his Wubby animation. his animation got rejected and he found someone who liked it, who? brenda's daughter. (it once again not clear but we see some sign) before we continue, does George still alive? yes. back to the story, Brenda's daughter helps dave with his story animation called "Wubby : karma's what you make!" and it becomes popular, we didn't see any marriage but we see that Brenda daughter behind dave and looks like she supported him. and then comes to they have a baby (or we can say "Kelsey daddy") and while having a baby, Brenda daughter meets George in some garden(?) and he got sick and helps him to the hospital. sadly, George died before he sings his song to his lover. and comes to Kelsey, who had depressing memories from her close people (again. not clear) she depressed and had suicidal thoughts. she's trying to jumps of the bridge(?) and drowned (from the help me mv) got supports from 3 little ghosts (George, Brenda, dave) their love, support, trying to tell Kelsey to keep living on, and learns from their story. she survived the suicide. and somehow she's in hospital with her grandma, Brenda's daughter. so technically their story is connected, and brought to this theory: they are one blood or one clover family! anyway, I'm so happy with this mv and song, the song itself so catchy and swingy (which I love), and then the COLOUR aT THE END✨ I love it a lot! also, if u guys see clover's Twitter account, their banner changed to colorful not black and white anymore. I love this album and basically, I'm gonna missed this album sm. good work OR30 (as always)

I think George has a more direct relationship than just circumstance.
If i take George being about lost love, Brenda having died prematurely and how her hair is longer than we see her (she kept it in a bun). she could be who he had lost. Would add context to the end of 100y with his union with the other ghosts (reunion with past love and son(-in-law)) and render them ALL as part of the Clover Family tree.
At least that is what i've come up with. Only the word of god (OR3O) can confirm relations.

@@big_mike7950 the character Susie (brenda's daughter) is recognizable throughout the music videos, mostly by the shape of her hair, and in the Karma video we see susie ended up being dave's wife. Then at the end of this video, susie came in to see kel and there was a portrait of kel, susie (who is now her grandmother at this point) and kel's grandfather, who we can assume is dave by proxy of susie.

I just realized they represent past present and future! George represents past as he says "think of all the memories" Brenda represents the present as she says "Think of what you still have left" and Dave is the future as he says "be faithful for what is to come"!!
