I have an 2008... No little cover plate, But the tabs where there. Helpful video. Changed the bulb in 20 min! Thhx

I have a 2011, at first I thought this wouldn't work. However, it does help. The plate that is on top of the headlamp assembly isn't there on the 2011, so you just have to life up the tabs. Mine were a bit stuck, but I got them out. Thanks!

Thanks for this. I have a 2011 and I just had a headlight go out. I don't have that plastic strip on top thank God. One clip came up easy, the other one was a pain but I got it.

The left tab, how does it come out? It looks like it's obstructed by the headlight adjuster.
Pro tip: you might have to get underneath and give those tabs a tap or three with your hammer and screwdriver if they dont go up by hand

If you leave the bulb in the headlight assembly and unclip the wires first you have less chance of breaking the clip on the wire assembly

My truck is a 2009 and does not have the three screws on top but there is two tabs
You should be able to just release those tabs then to free the main beams.

This doesn't work. The top of the headlight comes loose as shown, but the bottom will not come out. Both sides are the same. The assembly will not come out and this videos does not explain why.
Pull that headlight retaining bar out (the slide bar that locks it in place). Once that is out you should be able to wiggle the headlight free. Hope this helps you out.
Hi my ranger is a 2007 model but doesn’t have the tabs is there any videos for those

There may be some bolts securing it in place, should have these tabs though it the main beam looks the same.
Trying to get mine off a 2011 ranger but noone knows how to show how to do it, mine appears to be different
Not sure what may be different on this model year.
I want to like the video but the current count is 420 and I don't have it in me to change that

What I do when the bulb itself doesn't want to come out😭
Be careful, maybe wear some gloves incase the bulb breaks, you might have to use a pair of pliers to get it out. It should come out for you.
Don’t forget to disconnect the battery if you are working with anything electrical.
