So many people talking about how BLG made mistakes, but can we appreciate how well Gen G defended their base. The rotation and juggling of teleport, wards, vision, objective, push etc was so insane. I have never seen a team defend that well ever in that situation
CZcams casually spoiling the series by recommending game 4 after game 2.
Algorithm with games has been so bad. That's why I go to lol esports vods to avoid these stupid suggestions.
They always do that and it’s very annoying. That’s why I always avert my eyes and search a game at a time (1, 2, 3, etc.).
Oof that's the worst. I had the BLG vs T1 series spoiled for me because of Lolesports "next stream" being in my recommendations - with that huge logo displaying which team was facing GenG. Funnnn. Good luck. I also just go in and type games in blindly without looking.

This is the most insane game I probably had to ever watch. The mind games with backdooring was nailbiter, but Chovy and Kiin just had their number.

First of all, GGs to both teams.
Secondly, BLG’s decision making started to look a bit impatient in this game. That’s what cost them. Entirely understandable given the high stakes, but it seems they forgot their coach’s advice earlier in the tourney: slow down a bit. Each time they gained an advantage past the mid game, they threw it away pretty immediately. Also I must say, Xun’s Nidalee didn’t seem very convincing this series.
Props to GG drafting. That Canyon Karthus pick was sick.
Overall, I’d say BLG made many more errors in this series, and at the highest level, it’s often mistakes which lose games, as opposed to outplays which win games.

BLG gave me a glimpse of hope for game 5. It would have been awesome to get one more game of this.

He really would have bro! I went back and watched, he lost 12 seconds by recalling. I calculated, and Peyz would have still had 6 seconds on death timer when the second inhib turret died. Which I'd think is enough time for a late game trist to kill a nexus. Bet he kicks himself in the ass for that for the rest of his life lol
I wanted a game 5. But after this game it was amazing to see the back and forth and how Gen G really had everything in them to win. Game 2 and 3 were a banger and this whole series was fun as hell !

That last play from BLG felt like a throw. They needed to contest Elder not send Bin and Knight to backdoor. GenG were just the better team and it showed.
They wanted to end the game with a backdoor so bad but their impatience got the best of them.

Biggest throw was Bin's first backdoor attempt bot lane that let GenG get the soul IMO, rumble was never gonna let him through and him dying immediately lost them that fight and the drake and pretty much the game. They were pretty even at that point, they won a fight before they could win it again, but after that soul GenG became so much harder to fight. Like I think the backdoor at the very end was a better decision cause they didn't have much of a shot at getting that elder.
Just like what happened with T1 at worlds 2022 game 5 the pressure got to bin and knight
The Last Chance to win this game for BLG was 43:40.
After Azir used his Ult, there are no Azir Ult and Maokai Ult.
There are no way to disturb Camile’s initiate on GenG.
But BLG decided not to fight with GenG.
And the reason that BLG hesitated might be game1-3 and upper bracket final series.
BLG knew GenG’s team fight power. Maybe they felt fear.

Knight was Knightmare, throughout the whole series. He is not a top tier midlaner at all.
Lets talk about the most useless BLG member of the team this entire tournament which is Elk? Man this guy got rated as best adc in the world and he looked worse than Massu.
Knight was really poor, thats why i was surprised he said Chovy isnt that good in his interview... he got gapped all games they played with GenG

Knight didn't play well but they also banned a lot of his champs because they knew how useless Elk been entire tournament.
Also stupid drafts from them. Neeko in game 1 made no sense at all. Bin got tilted later on because when he had so much pressure people could keep ganking him and no one else on the map did anything.
In the tournament it was Bin their best member and then Knight still. Xun barely did anything.
Knight did good in game 2 and was bullying Chovi but huge team difference and they banned 4 mid champs vs Knight.
Xun/Knight carried game 3 and again a lot of bans vs mid.
