On the first way. Is there any hotkey to access the little warning button next to the cell, or is it only accessible with click?

Good but how do you interpret a triangle symol as text ?
Why not just change the format for the column to number?
how about 'one' to 1 or 'two' to 2?
none of those work, Excel doesn't recognize the cell as number stored as text. There is no "green" mark.
2nd way was the worst
