No one was doing what he was doing. And it didnt take long before he was talked about, like he was one of thet "masters of music"..he was a big fish in a very small pool with guys like Stevie Wonder, Isaac Hayes, Prince, Marvin Gaye and Quincy Jones...all of whom, had their own approaches to music, while all the time, thinking about how they could propel music, forward. No one..was using strings (violins,harps and cellos) in their musical production, like Barry White. Isaac Hayes joined Barry with that sound...and it was really something to behold, watching this former gangbanger, sing like Rev. James Cleveland, and arrange music like Sebastian Bach. There will NEVER be another Barry White.

Got remembered of his songs a few days ago and thought to myself I should start every day listening to him, and this is what brought me here in this very early morning, and it feels like a powerful and lovely gift to have found this… So now I won’t be listening to find a great beat to keep me going, but more likely a great spirit to fly with!
