Personally I believe 2003 was the best but maybe that's because I was born in 2001 and that's the only one I liked growing up

I used to watch Fireman Sam when I was little on BBC during the 90s and even now the opening theme song brings me back a lot of wonderful memories! :3

I will forever cherish this theme. Besides nostalgia, the old versiom just sounds and feels better for the show.
I appreciate that this 11 piece group features Maldwyn Pope, the singer of the Welsh and English theme, and the songwriters Ben Heneghan and Ian Lawson and that my eyes and ears could enjoy it ❤
They should play this on an anniversary edition of fireman sam.

I’d hardly call the streets of Pontypandy busy prior to Series 8, there was literally nothing on the road between Dilys’ shop and Bella’s cafe except Jupiter, Venus and Trevor’s bus.
The world had a smaller population back then (late 80s early 90s), and was a lot less busy, or at least it surely felt that way...
See now, when I was a kid I always thought the singer said "boozy".

There was a fire alarm at my college and the brigade turned up in an engine damn similar to jupiter and one of them was called sam he had his ID on.
I have a friend who lives next to firefighter called sam, his daughter thinks that he’s the real fireman sam 😂

THIS IS SO GREAT I LIKE OLD FIREMAN SAM, i don't like cgi fireman sam FOR AN GOOD REASON! i found fireman sam beacuse i had A dvd of season 1 of the show and still have it, and i have watch seasons 1-4 + 5 DAMN SERIES 5 IS SO GREAT and series 1-4 are great too. (i know some people like cgi fireman but i don't, like many others)

I always found it funny that Trevor drove the pontypandy bus and was a firefighter
He was just a volunteer firefighter, I think.
That's really common in real life, particularly in small towns where most (if not all) of the firefighters are retained. They have other jobs in the town, and only respond to fires when needed. What's more surprising is that Pontypandy had three full-time firefighters, given the apparent population you'd expect it to be retained only.
