- Join us for a drive through Apex, North Carolina, another expansive section we charted last year but haven't explored until now. We still have plenty of footage from this large area to share in the future. One highlight of this video is the stunning pink sky we experienced. Capturing this breathtaking view was truly special. Plus, we've upgraded our Jeep for quieter operation, leading to a more soothing engine sound experience.

We mainly film using a Sony FX30/E 11mm F1.8 camera and a Zhiyun Crane M3 gimbal for steady footage. Nature's sounds are recorded with a Zoom F6 and binaural microphones, and we polish the final product with Davinci Resolve Studio and Izotope RX.
The purpose of our videos is to provide an escape, potentially offering benefits such as relaxation, stress relief, and fostering a calming environment conducive to meditation, study, and sleep.

This is nice and calming, but also somehow a bit dystopian. No kids playing outside, no one walking outisde, it feels absolutely dead, like a ghost town. Almost like a movie set were no one lives. But I really enjoyed the exterior looks of some of these houses. Keep up the great work.

As a Dutchy i’m really impressed in the houses, here in The Netherlands you hardly/never see specific houses like this😍 and especially neighborhoods like these. I also wonder what the price of the houses would be. Because in The Netherlands you would never get a house like this for 1,5/2 million. 🥴

I work a full-time job and film these in my free time. It’s a way of unwinding after being in meetings all day.

@@debbiec6216 Absolutely, it's a comprehensive process. First, there's the route planning phase which includes uploading the routes to my Garmin devices. Subsequently, I manage a rotation of batteries and SIM cards. As part of this process, I transfer old footage to a series of hard drives for potential future edits and re-uploads.
Next comes the journey to the filming location. Once there, I ensure all camera and audio equipment is operational and correctly set up - I always carry backup microphones and cameras for contingencies.
Following the filming, the bulky files are transferred to my editing systems. This involves a detailed review of the entire video and all audio. During this phase, I rectify any audio clipping, perform color grading, insert titles, encode the video, etc.
Once the editing and encoding is complete, I upload the finalized maps and video to Google and CZcams. Occasionally, this may require multiple attempts if there are any issues with CZcams. Each step is crucial to ensure a seamless end-to-end process.
It's a multiple day process per video and pretty much consumes most of my extra free time when I factor in that I must study to keep up-to-date on technologies related to my full-time job.
I basically work 16 hours a day every day 🥲. The CZcams stuff is fun though.

Yes, it suggests a quite and piecefull neighborhood, but at the same time, it's absolutely car dependent. The quality of living must be very low there. One could even say, this is like a nightmare.

This is zoned for single-family, it is not for commercial property. The stores will be nearby on some major road

Those houses surely are beautiful and perfectly maintained but what shocks me as non-american is how empty the whole neighborhood looks: there's basically no one around, just a couple of guys with the dog and a child on his bike, the front yards are empty and it feels like the whole town is lifeless, just a giant diorama. Is it what an american neighborhood is supposed to be like? I'm confused.

Indeed. I also carefully select times for a quieter ambiance during my walks and drives and often avoid crowded areas. If someone approaches me on the sidewalk, I'll cross the street. If there's a crowd ahead, I take an alternate route. Note that these neighborhoods prioritize safety; even someone with a camera can prompt a call to the police.

@@Andrea-lj4jg I'm no expert, but these are called sidewalk easements which typically allows people access through the front of your property. Who owns or maintains these areas varies from state to state, etc.

This is not the typical american neighborhood. But its nice and beautiful . Kind of like living in a dream. Not everybody in america has the money to live in such a wonderful place like this. Developers build places like this because people with money want to get away from middle and lower income people. So natural habitats are destroyed so the wealthy can have beautiful and clean neighborhoods. 🤔 😱
