Bro which brushes do you use to make backgrounds and characters and tell how do you paint so precisely and how do you make different layers from the background picture and paint them separately
most if not all digital painting software have the feature of layers. you just add layer and draw or paint on it. you can adjust layer, change blending mode, delete if you don't like a specific layer etc. I'll say watch/read the tutorial of whatever software you use. when I watched tutorial of the software I use (ibispaint, krita), I realised I didn't know tons of features. I highly recommend ibispaint x for beginners. and the software in the video is also ibispaint

quick question, for shadows and highlights will we also have to use blending modes (like multiply, add etc)? or will we just make our midtone darker/lighter? (also could i please have the cloud brushes? i need it so many times 🥲)
Not necessarily but you can use it for saving ur time
Quick tip (dont use "blending mode add" For highlights instead use overlay and colour Dodge)
