Balancing a bassoon reed, scraping and testing

OMG that thumbnail. Sorry you can't really see how I'm scraping the reed in this video but I made it very spontaneously. I was in the middle of a reed making session and this reed provided a very textbook example of what I usually encounter and how I correct the problem.

Thank you for the informative video ! Maybe next time you could explain what would you do if the reed is behaving other way - e drops in pitch?

cool video, next time you should plan it ahead of time so that everything is very clear and visible XD. but still very good video and i learned a lot
