Yesss… best video title I’ve seen all day. Uncle Larry is the best player in the world. He’s all about the music. He can shred his ass off if needs to or wants to but his harmonic movement and the way his jams sound like some of the best composer guitar music you ever heard mastered in a studio, all recorded on an iPhone!!!!! I mean come on…not one big name content creator on CZcams would ever just play through their phone and not use Pro Tools or Logic or some type of SM57 mic preamp with a shit load of edits and this dude is taking idea and turning them into pure gold and using his phone to recoded and his tone is pristine. When I think of great tone, I think of Hendrix, Eddie, Stevie Ray, Shawn Lane, Duane Allman, Clapton and when I scroll through the tone kings in my mind, Uncle Larry is always one of the first I think of…if you’ve seen every episode of Corona Lessons, Homeskoolin’ and all of the other subsequent videos, you know I’m not reaching. Long live Uncle Larry.
Friggen Uncle Larry seriously makes Bonamassa seem like a newb. Lil Tommy is too humble to admit he's one of the best of the best of all time. His humility and class is unmatched by any other big time player I'm aware of. I have a lot of love for Tom and I've only seen him on CZcams. I was an avid follower of his channel for a few years. I'm trying to phase YT out of my daily life, as it consumes too much of my time. Anywho, thanks Scott for sharing this incredible clip of Tom and the fellas. Amazing all around. Happy New Year everyone.
Tom is incredible but what is it about Joe Bonamassa that it seems as though any time someone wants to give a guitarist credit, they have to slag him? I get the guy's gear collecting habits are a _bit_ much but otherwise, all he's ever done is _love_ the guitar and play the shit out of it. You're right about Tom being high on humility. So much so that'd he'd _rightfully_ tell you that no one is making Bonamassa look like a "noob." Himself included. I'd also dare to say that he'd suggest you rethink your entire shit about making comments like that. Don't believe me? Share this comment chain and ask him. #becooldontbead!ck
I bet that was a treat for sure! I’ve seen UL play 1000 times. Not bragging! I’ve known him a long time. Glad you got a front row seat to the show! He’s amazing! Crazy thing is he’s played this way for 30+yrs! Glad he started a channel. I’ve tried to get him to shred EVH Eruption or Eric Johnson’s Cliffs of Dover like he used back in the Calabash band days but he just won’t do it. Why? Bc he said it’d be too cheesy! 🙄
Wow what a lesson in musicality one of the best 25 pieces of live playing I’ve ever seen 🎶 Tom you are the master thanks for sharing this. Something new to work on🎉yippee long live 🎸 playing 🎉
Reminds me of Alvin Lee at Woodstock-not that it is a copy but TB captures that raw intensity and the virtuosity of Lee’s performance. It is great to have a video of a musician in that zone captured on video-I can only imagine what it felt like to be at 3rd and Lindsley that night!!! At least we mere mortals can get a taste of what those lucky few got to see and hear.
Thanks so much for posting this--oh man, whenever I forget just how lights out good Uncle Larry is, I see another jaw dropping incendiary chops display! Buk can BURN baby! Unreal...
Ahh man, thanks so much for posting this Scott! I was traveling and missed the live stream so this is a real treat to see Uncle Larry and Co. play live! Killer playing by everyone on that stage!
I love it, not a huge stack on the stage. All very manageable volume levels. I love a DR. Any tube with 1x12 works for me but love that DR. Sold my JCM 800 and bought a new deluxe reverb. Played every damn genre you think of on that little amp.
As much fun as this looks like it is, it's another reminder that I don't miss playing with live drums. Not that the drummer isn't good, I just don't like playing that loud anymore. Fuck, I've turned into my old man! His favorite saying when we were practicing... "Does it have to be loud to be good?" LOL
Name that band the Bukovac Bunch. If they would stand in a circle together with you in front of the drummer when it gets deep that is cool. Neil Young and Crazy Horse do that. It's like a cauldron of sounds brewing as you go!!!! Keep stirring that pot!!!
I really love Tom Bukovac 's playing! So incredible!
The rhythm section is lights out. Phenomenally powerful drumming!!
needed two bass player...
So, so tight. At such a tempo.
@@musicisart2 No. We were GIVEN 2 basses.
God damn uncle Larry can play! Shout out to the home skoolers class of 2022 ! Have a safe new year everyone!
Nik from Oz
Jeezus wept, that exhausted me, a need to lie down in a dark room, then I'm going to listen again. 😂 and again and again 🤣👍👍👍👍👍🥃Respect to you fellas.
I think I hear every genre of music that’s worth listening to in the last 50 years in that jam
Uncle Larry ,?
He was influenced by Skynyrd and I hear that in his opening.

Many riffs reminiscent of Jim McCarty from back in the Cactus days...nice jam up there, thanks for sharing with all of us!

Tommy is waaaaaaaay better. More musical melodic
If Tom could sing he would be a mega superstar.
they occupy totally different spaces, apples and oranges

Bukovac is almost as good as CC DeVille. A little more practice
Thanks for sharing , this is solid gold stuff. All of these Nashville cats are really, really good but Tom is just one of THE best. What a player!!!
I was at the table right in front of Buk. I am bragging. This was my favorite. Hit me right in the face.

Seen a few homeskoolin videos. Had no idea he had this stage skill and showmanship. Well done fellows!

Same! That's what I was thinking at the start of the video. I'm here after watching the Otis Gibbs interview.
Agreed!
Not just a session man! No enhancements while playing live. Lil Tommy was rockin it!
Wow! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks so much for posting this--oh man, whenever I forget just how lights out good Uncle Larry is, I see another jaw dropping incendiary chops display! Buk can BURN baby! Unreal...
Homeskoolin' episode 78 I believe. He shredded this then and took it another level here. Tom is a master! Thanks for sharing the vid!
Uncle Larry uncorked one
He broke out the horsepower on this one ! Incredible
Ahh man, thanks so much for posting this Scott! I was traveling and missed the live stream so this is a real treat to see Uncle Larry and Co. play live! Killer playing by everyone on that stage!
Uncle Larry never fails to deliver...
This opening jam reminds me big time of Black Betty extended version!!!
Exactly

Showin' the young'uns how it's done!
Uncle Larry can kickoff a tune ya! 😳
Please if you have the four Pat McLaughlin solo acoustic numbers that opened the show post them!!!!
I don’t, but would love to see them. He was fantastic!
The Starship Trooper blows Bonamassa outta the water!
Oh yeah
It’s like when blues player says make every note count but also it’s fast as shit
Everyone trying to put words to that tone but it just is
Is that tone coming from a princeton?
I remember when he owned 2nd Gear..
😳
Who is the other guitar player?
Second part of the jam, TB sounds like Steve Morse

Fuck, I've turned into my old man! His favorite saying when we were practicing... "Does it have to be loud to be good?" LOL
As an audience member, it was absolutely exhilarating to hear that place rock like that, but I understand your viewpoint from on stage.
Adequate
Look at that camera shake. That’s how loud it was.
It was! It was propped on the balcony, but the place was rockin’
I wonder why more live bands don't carry 2 bassist's . I think it's an idea who's time is past due.
