Word of the day. Chocolate PIE is my fav.
Girl, this is neater ‘n spit! Now I can begin working on Christmas gifts!!! Tues., March 14th is Pi day, 2023! 🥧
Thanks for the reminder for Pi Day! 😀
Great idea. I don’t make pie anymore but I sure eat them. This would be a great gift for someone
This idea is pure genius ! Yours are beautiful ! All the holiday themes 🤯Thank you for this easy to understand walk through ! Serpentine stitch is very forgiving 💞
your different pattern is the bomb
Aww, I'm so happy that you like it! Happy sewing 🥰
Love this idea for pie plates. Especially with just 2 corners remaining, even for the larger soup bowls and for some other pots and frying pans too, for setting them on the table.
Thank you, Peggy! Yes, there are many other uses other than a pie plate. I agree with you, they could be used in many ways at the table. Thank you so much for watching, and for the comment!
I love pie all year long! Any dessert pie and of course chicken pot pie!❤❤❤❤
I am not a pie maker but I did buy a butterscotch pie yesterday!
Hi Marie! Glad I caught the replay of your PIE cozy. You Always make it easy to understand for beginners as well. Great job!
Ohhh, I love it! Thank you! It's great for my brunch quiche!
Pie! My favorite is pumpkin.
That is a cute and wonderful idea. Your pie plate cozy turned out perfect. I have a small pie plate collection. Most of my pie plates are fancy. Making one of these for each pie plate could help me protect them (while they are stored in the cabinet) and add to their beauty when one or more of them are used. However, my heart shaped pie plate may be a hard one to fit. Yes, I do have an everyday plain pie plate; but, it's aluminum.
Thank you Marie. I'm going to make some of your pie plates! Excellent tutorial!❤
Please do! Thanks for watching!
Excellent video. I recently had an old large mixing bowl from my mother Crack at the bottom when nesting bowls together. I think this would have prevented it. It is also recommended for pots and pans to prevent scratches. I gave my son cast iron pans for his RV for Christmas. Would be good protection and reduce rattling noises. Lots of great uses for storage and use as a trivet to protect the table.
Great idea. I think I will make several for that purpose!! 👍
This is great! Perfect for my frozen pie crust pies 😂. Or if I get daring and make my own. Great hostess or housewarming gift as well. Thanks Marie❤
Hi Marie. Thank you . Such a great idea and if you bring it to a friend while visiting, they can keep the cozy and give you back your pie pan. lol. Oh, a slice of pie. Happy Sunday.
How clever to leave the opposite corners as "lifters"!!! Love this feature. Thanks for the videos.
Glad you like them! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Thank you so much! Wonderful video🌺
I love the cozy for the pie 👍🏻🤗
Love this. Hello friend
Hello, hello, hello!!!! 👋 It's been awhile since I've "seen you". I hope you're doing well 💗
Again, a super idea and tutorial.
My husband would love it if I'd bake a pie more often, but baking ain't my favorite thing 🤭
I love it and we know how you love to make them right Marie? My favorite pie is raisin. Thank you Marie.
Love that concept for the pie plate, sewed umpteens of bowl cozys for craft fairs. Think I will try this next
I have pattern making paper, you got me thinking. I can cut the squares, fold the darts and pin them, and then draw the corner cut placement on that. Undo the pins and use the pattern to cut my fabric and batting. Hopefully it works! Clipping near the darts, great tip! Thanks for the tutorial!
Aww, you're a smart cookie- it also sounds like you're having fun!
I will have to make a few of these because I love pie so much thank you Marie for the great idea and instructions for this.
Very cute!! Thank you😊
You’re welcome 😊

You are welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I gotta try this one
Love fabric
I'm glad you liked this fun and quick project. Happy sewing!
Oh my gosh! I love this pie cozy. I snagged a bunch of harvest fabric on sale at Walmart. Guess I know what im going to make with it.
love the pie plate cozy, I will make a few, don't know when but I will, these are easy to make with your instructions.
The material for your pie cozy is adorable Marie 😁

Thanks for sharing
Another great sewing make. I’ll be make a pie 🥧 cosy for my crumble pie.
You are a wonderful teacher Thank you big hugs
You are so welcome and thank you!
This is my next autumn fabric project with scraps from the others. I don’t have any 13x13 squares so I’ll piece them. It will be scrappy like the runner, placemats, oven mitt, and pot holder with the same combination of fabrics. Thank you, Marie, for your inspiration, and tutorials with instructions so clear that my projects turn out so beautifully. And you’re really fun.
Aw, you’re so sweet, thanks! I think piecing them will make them much more pretty and interesting! Have fun sewing!
What a cute pie cozy!!! I love your fabric choices... I can make a bunch up and next time I'm invited to dinner and need to bring desert...I'm going to use one of these cozies as it would make a great gift to the host. Thanks Marie!!!
Very nice! ❤️❤️❤️
Love it will make it today thank you
Hope you enjoyed making one! Thank you so much for watching him for writing a comment to me. Happy sewing!
I really like this pie cozy. I have a pie plate that was my Grandmother's. It's smaller than yours. I don't use it often but putting it in one of these cozy's would look good in my hutch. Thank you again for a great tutorial. Have a great day!
Your pie cozy is so cute, I love the fabrics you chose.
What a great item, will be making these for sure! Thank you!!!
I can't wait to make this item. You are a very good teacher.

Hi Maria, happy to catch an upload.
Looks like fun ! I collect sapphire blue phillbe fire king, so many pie plates. Can use so many top and bottom colors in the cozies. Thanks, Jo

Love this. Will be making more than one. 😊😊
Wonderful! Happy sewing!
Good morning Marie
Wellll isn’t this pie cozy awesome!!!
Question- would it work to leave it square shape and not round it?!🤔
❤️😀
Love your pie cozy. How do you change the dart measurements for different size plates?
Is it possible to make a pie plate cozy without the side tabs and scalloped edges? I think it would look so pretty! I've been wracking my brain trying to figure this out.
Hi! I would think you could make it without the handles... but I'm not sure if by "scalloped edges" you mean the sides?
Wonder if there is a way to make a reuseable pattern for this. Gonna have to play with it.
Hi Doris! There's actually a paid pdf pattern available if you're interested. I will leave the link below.

Thanks for the tutorial! I would like to know if you have a pattern for your wrist pin holder?
Yes, I do. 😁 czcams.com/video/pLkNmFHWzCk/video.html
Love these, do you know the names of the 2 fabrics you used? ♥️👍🏼
Thank you so much! I just went through my fabric stacks and I could only find one of the two fabrics I used, but unfortunately, the selvage edge was cut off so I couldn't see the manufacturer. I'm so sorry!
I lo
Are you Canadian? Some of your words tells me you are. Eh?
No, I’m not Canadian, but I’m in northern Maine and I walk out back, could throw a rock and almost have it land in NB, Canada, ha ha. Are you in Canada? My great-grandparents were Canadian… maybe some speech got handed down, ha ha. Happy sewing! 💕🪡🧵
I live in Ballston Lake, NY between Albany and Saratoga. We only live 3 hours from Canada, though, but no accent.
@pattyward8898 I think I probably have a northern Maine accent, which is different from the southern Maine accent. I'm not sure, though, lol
