How awesome would it be if a car manufacturer had the balls enough to put out a street legal tiny car that came factory with a screaming 1200cc inline 4 with a sequential gear box in it. Oh and didn’t cost a fortune.
Rich guy in the Smart Car really put that car through its Paces I'm surprised it didn't blow up right then and there very impressive build Imagine how hot and sticky those tires were getting and it was still able to burn out do donuts and hold rev limiter he really tested the build quality in that video basically a complete madman harnessing the full skill of that car
Even swapping a 1991 Harley Davidson motorcycle engine in a 1987 Chevrolet Chevette is a great one to do, even converting the Chevette to all wheel drive.
I wouldn't imagine the bottom ends of these motors are made for the constant stress and load of the weight of the chassis compared to bike frame. Those engines are on the knifes edge of performance making a good bit of internal stress let alone the outside stresses. Still cool, just don't see these swaps lasting long.
if the cars are on the lighter side, near 1200Lbs or less, I dont think it's much of an issue, however you do need to make sure to modify the oil pan, becasue they're made to always have oil at the bottom and not sloshing around.
Spent like 4 minutes straight just watching the smart car go down and back up, down and back up. That was the part of the video that caused me to click on a new video
I wonder how much it would cost do do something like this🤔 Ive been thinking about getting a fiero as a long term project. My original plan was to swap either an ecotech or maybe a v6, but something like this would be saucy
if u could somehow modify that first gear size to make it lower speed for the weight of the car this would be a perfect swap, or maybe leave the first gear as it is but make a variable diff HIGH and LOW to make it accelerate at the correct RPM from a stop
Is Suzuki Capuccino 658cc (Is The Original Engine,Maked On The Suzuki Factory)And The New Engine Is From Suzuki Hayabusa 1340cc, The Suzuki Cappuccino Now Is Pure Black Coffee 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Depends on weight, air resistance, and gearing. I would wager not. The Hayabusa is alot light and therefore doesn't need to sacrifice as much gear reduction for torque sufficient to move itself. The car on the other hand, may very well stall if it has tall gears.
@@Spherz Not necessarily. There are limitations based on how much mass you plan to accelerate to a particular speed. Consider that Mercedes built the Silver Arrow in the 1930's and broke over 249mph... The Bugatti Veyron which weighs a hell of alot more, required roughly double the power to set the "street-legal production car" landspeed record at 267mph. So unfortunately aero is not the only limitation.

@The Stigs Romanian Cousin no a motorcycle transmissions is part of the engine they are built together as one you can't separate the transmissions from a bike engine
