Its not the original performance . Their original performance during competition was amazing, and maybe one of the most memorable performance in Indonesian dangdut competition history. Dangdut is difficult genre, not many Indonesian Pop singers could good singing in Dangdut. Even Judika try to sang dangdut for fun :)

The one that you react is the slow and sad song that focusing on the flow to discribe the lyrics to more emotinal and that's something that can separate between dangdut to other genre, the "flow" in every lirycs..
And a little funfact, in Indonesia almost everyone from different province or places, in their wedding day always (or must have) play dangdut songs besides others traditional songs from every province..
tbh i don't really like dangdut but i admited dangdut is a song genre that u can't avoid but enjoy when it's played😂
Ah and idk in what video i heard this about a kpop songs that waleska heard on a funny tiktok(that she said it's kinda remix but she can't find it).. i guess it's the "koplo version" of the song🤣 cause we(kpopers in Indonesia) always made the koplo version of a kpop song for entertainment 🤣 and koplo is part of dangdut if i'm not mistaken

Always excited to watch your reaction. By the way, this is the original Dangdut. In the modern dangdut, you can find some Arabic and Indian influences. Most people from Java can sing this type of genre because they were born listening to their parent singing 'kidung java' (Javanesse Lullaby), people from other islands may find it a bit challenging. For many pop singers, this genre is a serious challenge for them.

I am aware that dangdut is a widely known genre in our country, but I'm not really a fan of it. especially after lots of modern-type songs that are really catchy and pleasing to the ears surfaced. tbh, most people who enjoy dangdut are the older generation, bcs they growing up listening to it, so it probably brings some nostalgia to them, anyway, props to you guys for keep looking into different types of music from around the world, I really appreciated it.
i also not really into dangdut, just a few dangdut i appreciated in my memory...true u said it as nostalgic feeling...nowadays dangdut is mixed with more modern instrument by many indonesian DJ and it become more to "dugem" LOL
Actually I don't like dangdut, but I've always enjoyed this genre. I hated the music, but my shoulders always moved on my own when I heard the first note. funny 😂😂😂
that's what i thought before learning music, i prefer rock a lot (until now though). but when i was start singing in college, i realize that world much bigger than rock and i was listening at any other genre include dangdut. that's not that bad actually, now i think i love almost every genre i've ever heard
