It is on display, unchanged, and observable every day. That is what is unique about them. That is what millions of people travel to Britain every year for. They can SEE it rather than just read about it in a book.

I hope George has seen the american rivera orchard UK site, that was started by a brilliant person, that instead of being sent to meghan site, is directed to donating to the fabulous UK Trussell Trust charity.
Why would you ask what purpose the royal family serves, Stephen? Are you really that ignorant to all of the work they do? They work incredibly hard for charity and bring in billions of dollars every year in the form of tourism to the UK. Surely you jest? A president would cost you a lot more than the couple of pounds a year the royal family cost you, and you would not have the hundreds of thousands of people helped via their charity work either. The RF actually costs the taxpayer nothing at all. In fact, the RF donates a whopping 80% of their income to the Treasury each year for the use of the British people. In return they are issued a small percentage back from the Treasury via the Royal Purse, which covers all their personal and Crown expenses. In other words the British taxpayer receives a huge grant of wealth from the RF every single year.

I thought that with a diplomatic visa, the government have to " vouch" for the individual, and explain what their " job" is, and how long they are staying?
With an A1 visa, which is a diplomatic visa, he should not be able to work here in the States, and he should not have anything to do with our political system. Both of those he is guilty of. He's interfered in our politics and tried to interfere in the military. He also is fighting against our freedom of speech. He belongs to the Aspen Institute and is on some committee against Misinformation. It is very ironic since him and Megaliar are the biggest offenders. I have also heard that with the A1 visa, we are paying for his security. With their charities, they are getting grants from our government, which is tax payer money. Harold needs to go!!!

As an American, I would say that Harry is looking at some difficulty with his visa--either maintaining it or changing it, as well as some significant tax issues (he inherits the remaining inheritance from Diana this Sept). Harry is beginning to understand what it's like to live in America.

Message to George.....my research has revealed that HRH, Prince and Princess are Royal Styles, not Royal Titles. It is my understanding that the monarch has absolute and sole discretion to remove any and all Royal Styles without any involvement of Parliament. Whereas Duke & Duchess are Royal Titles and requires the machine of Parliament to strip. But all it would take is a Letter Patent from the monarch to get it over the line. We are all being played. Paltrow won an Oscar when whe was more than a decade younger than Markle. The Paltrows are Hollywood elite. And Gwyneth had a global name at 25, before she gooped and gave up acting (to our dismay, she is enormously talented). Even if people dislike Gwyneth, she's extremely well known and knew how to nurture that.
An example re RF worth: during Will and Kates visit to Australia with George they went to a zoo and you saw them interact with a particular animal. The zoo keeper was ecstatic because this animal was in a breeding programme as it was getting low in numbers, was indigenous but not really well known. The RF visit had highlighted the issue and income for the zoo had increased.
Harry has at present a RF visa, but now he has resigned from the family he looses that Visa and will have to obtain a US one with his citizenship.

Do people realise that there is actually no legal definition for a "working royal?" This was mentioned when KC3 requested to add his sister and brother to the Counsellors of State list, but was (conveniently) avoided. Thus, the issue of working for the Crown is not truly a consideration when applying for visas, only the royal status appears to be.
"Rules for thee, but not for me" in a nutshell.
Therefore, Harry's visa designation is ultimately in the public interest to know, as it may indicate that other countries governments are responsible for his security costs which leads to the further question of him having Internationally Protected Person status as designated by the UN.

I do not think Harry filled in an application and that is why it took homeland security so long to give the judge his visa.
Harry is entitled to a diplomatic visa as he is family to a head of state. All family members and household members of the head of state are entitled to the visa. However, I don't know what the rules are for such persons in regard to staying and work.
