Norm looks Great!
I’ve been to the Anderson window plant before. It’s very interesting to see it all done. I also got to shoot a 2x4 through a door in their testing facility
That 2x4 cost more than the window!
@@xoxo2008oxox hahaha now days no doubt
Fake news, xoxo2021oxox. I just came from the hardware store.
@@mortensonaaron lol
I miss Norm
As the saying goes, leaky window is a pane in the glass.
I believe I shot 8" per hour of rain... Where I live in the Philippines.. I was right next to a 20 story building.. This was in the daytime... When it was raining hard I could only see about 5 story
On the other side of the atlantic the edges also contain a desicant to absorb any moisture. Perhaps the USA will catch up one day...
Oh the US has that too, but it costs more, so these vinyl window companies go with the cheaper alternative.
Many replacement windows use an improved spacer. Sold many for years.
"Norm Tours the Window Factory" That sounds like the title of a children's book.
Very interesting
Norm!
These factory tours are always so interesting. Nice to see Norm!
Put a window awning in.. It stops the Sunlight from ever hitting it...
Norm "So this one has three panes of AIIIIIIEEEEEE!!" (cut to camera crew applying bandages to Norms bloody fingertips)
.....shut up.
Man, any time I walk through the factory without safety gear on they freak out on me.
Steven ... you'll notice that Norm always wears work boots and his glasses are safety glasses.
@@rupe53 Glass plants require cut protection sleeves and hard hats generally.
@@MustPassTruck ... for workers I can see the extra layer, I but I also noticed none of the employees were wearing hardhats.
8,000 windows a week? Imagine their shipping department.
I work at ODL, here in Zeeland Mi. We make Pella, Anderson, Western Reflections, Blink Custom windows. We push out 50k units a week, 8k is nothing.
This is irony as a contractor I live near, ordered some A Series ($30K worth) and the order was screwed up. $900 for two pieces of Forest Green trim...that I saw the specs for, and the order was over-sized. Either the Andersen rep can't read, or the factory can't read. The exterior trim is made of some composite with embedded flange...no way to trim it down to fit...now the contractor has to deal with getting the part again, and holding the job up. How is it that a company that big, doesn't yet automate with robotics?
Andersen was always a pain. Thier white is light grey.
This looks like old Lionel Messi
