HW Link's tunic just fits so well in BotW. It's like a more armored classic Link with the blue Champion tunic used as a scarf. Best of both worlds.

going back to breath of the wild after 2 days of non stop playing age of calamity and i forgot that it wasn’t age of calamity for a bit so like for the first five minutes i was trying to do inputs like these lol

Same, I went straight into a lot of enemies and got walloped.
The OG Hyrule Warriors outfit looks so good on Link in the BotW art style

Anybody else think it would be really cool to see this costume in botw2? Not as a completion bonus but maybe like an extra cosmetic like what they did with Rex’s scavenger costume? The scarf would look so sick in combat.

Technically, this is the first Hyrule Warriors Link costume. So it wouldn’t necessarily work as BOTW Link’s official “Hero of Time” costume since this is from another game. But I do seeing it making a cameo in BOTW 2 like the other iterations of the Hero of Time costume.
That reminds me....we don’t have a BOTW Hero of Time costume...just Champion Link...🧐🧐
I just want more cosmetics in general, stuff you can put on in addition to your armour. Randomly finding a scarf or cape in a dungeon chest would be really exciting (and we could even dye them in Hateno!).

Yeah that helped me stop playing when I realized all I had left to do was farming a lot just for a costume I wouldn't use since well, I've beaten all stages of the game. I kinda wanted to create the "ultimate weapon" for some character I like just to see how strong it could get but that would also be a lot of effort for 5 minutes of fun.

Shame there wasn't a Hyrule Warriors Link amiibo, that outfit looks pretty great in BOTW style.
Edit: For those unaware, the many Legend of Zelda themed amiibos, when scanned by the Switch/Wii U, made a chest spawn in-game in Breath of the Wild, and depending on the amiibo, you could find armor pieces related to them for Link to wear. For example, Twilight Princess/ Super Smash Bros. Link could get you Link's clothes from Twilight Princess, the 8-bit Link had clothes inspired by the first Legend of Zelda Link, etc.

Very cool, but I Kinda wish this was a "beat the main story" bonus. Because at 100% by definition there is nothing left to actually do, outside of maybe crafting unique weapons or playing harder difficulties =(

Yeah I hate this kind of thing. Why reward the player with a badass outfit after they’ve done everything? I’d like to play through the story with it. BotW did this same crap with the Tunic of the Wilds amor. If they’re going to do things like that, it’d be much more forgivable if the game had a new game plus.

I actually have done everything except for the korok seeds. Like I was so bummed when I found out that was part of the requirement. I still haven’t gotten all the korok seeds. Doubt I ever do. I loved this game and enjoyed the heck out of it. But unless I’m wrong, it would essentially require another playthrough. Not literally but you’d have to go through each of the chapters again

Honestly, it would have been terrible for Nintendo to put something actually worthwhile for collecting all 900 seeds. I think even they realised how mindless, pointless and boring that really is. They made a great choice by putting their '100%' reward so to speak, after completing all the shrines as those are actually worthwhile. The only, slightly better option was giving a reward for completing the shrines, main quests and sidequests.
I think they put meanless items is because they don't expect you to really do it

I know Nintendo is trying something new with the Breath of The Wild timeline. And I can respect what they’re going for from a gameplay standpoint...

Adding my of achievement here, 4/23/21 was when I got this tunic! One of only two games I've ever 100%ed!
I am assuming the 100% walkthrough is coming soon. But I don't think people really need a guide other than Korok seeds cause the game is pretty straightforward.

One thing that would make this so much cooler is if after having the game 100 percented breath of the wild could detect your save data from this game and you could use this costume in that game.
My hope is this and all the tunics you got from amiibos in the original breath of the wild will all be unlockable in the sequel, maybe as a reward from a challenge mode as well as the amiibos so people can still get these costumes even if they don’t have the amiibos
Just make the amiibos be the quick way but still having a way to do it organically in game but much harder to do

Ah yes. This was one of the few games I actually took effort to 100%. Worth it
Ah, I see the Terako scene and credits pretty much were all that was left in terms of extra sequences. I am only missing getting the remaining treasure chests and some seeds for that particular reward at the start of the video. There are two of the difficult post Ganon challenges that I haven't done but I honestly feel like I don't miss out for not grinding more rupees and smithing a stronger weapon now. Was the first Musou game that I actually finished. The unlockables in terms of combos and characters, story, music and design did help me a bunch to stay around. Might try to get back to the first Hyrule Warriors when I feel like that type of game again.
Have to see also if I might pick up the DLC or not.

Everything that happened in the OG Hyrule Warriors (like the gateways to the different eras) gets undone by the end of the game, meaning that there wouldn't be any trace of them by the time Breath of the Wild starts (and that's assuming Hyrule Warriors is canon). HMK even did a video debunking Game Theory who tried to use Hyrule Warriors to "fix the Zelda timeline".
Edit: My bad, it was NintendoBlackCrisis who debunked Game Theory, HMK was just his collab partner.
@@darkstorm2579 the theory is misunderstood. People think the theory is about unifing every single timeline into one and that's not it. The theory consists in explaining why botw has rock salt, rito and zora living together, lynels, and how the timelines meet (meeting is not fusing into one) and NOT about all timelines becoming one because it would create problems with multiple triforces, blahblahblah. It's true that the portals close, but when someone or something crosses a portal, and the portal closes, he stays where he is. It's true the traces of the gates are gone, but not what came through.
@@gabrielperalta8479 Except when it comes to the Great Sea from the Windwaker, none of it exited the portal, it stayed contained within the Windwaker world, which means there'd be no rock salt from it left in the Hyrule Warriors world (also rock salt is found everywhere in Breath of the Wild, while the Great Sea in Hyrule Warriors was very much contained and did not flood the HW world).
Hyrule Warriors was never meant to be canon, just pure fanservice. If it was canon, it would just make things even more confusing just from the game's story alone. Also in Hyrule Warriors, when the gates to the different worlds close, the people from those worlds also go away (as seen when all of the heroes from other worlds are sent back to their own worlds at the end of the game), meaning the Rito from Windwaker would go back to their world, not stay in the Hyrule Warriors world. We don't know how the Botw Rito came to exist, Hyrule Warriors, even if it became canon, would not hold the answer to it, since the Windwaker Rito (if any of them tried to migrate to the HW world) would just be sent back to their own world after the Windwaker gate closes.
One last thing, Lynels never showed up in Hyrule Warriors. In fact, no gates to the Downfall Timeline were ever opened. I know because I played the game. The only timelines that were opened were the to the Child (Twilight Princess), Adult (Ocarina of Time and Windwaker) and Unified (Skyward Sword) Timelines.

It would be so cool if this would also unlock the tunic in BotW if you have save files of both games on your Switch, like how having a BotW save file gives you the training sword in this game.

When I played Hyrule Warriors, I swapped Link off his default attire almost constantly because I thought it was too plain. After 2 Breath of the Wild style games in the Outset Island pajamas from Wind Waker though, I've started to appreciate the Hyrule Warriors take on the classic green tunic.
