- Welp, got a lot to say about this one OBVIOUSLY but I’ll try to contain myself. Yet again........ Electric Chair demonstrates why they’re my favorite punk band atm, I’m sure everyone’s probably heard this thing by now but I gotta emphasize how fukin sick this record is dude
This got announced waaay back and had hella delays on the vinyl, I had the cassette but I wanted to wait till that shit came in and I’m pretty sure after over a year, here they are finally. That being said, since Iron Lung is out west the records went up for preorder around 3AM where I am so my ass was fast asleep. If anyone wants to sell me their splatter variant of the record lmk lmaooooo yes shameless but I need it bro lol! They still have some vinyl left in general though, check the usual spot
Now about the music... I like the last EP but man this kinda smokes it out the water. Just like all their other records it starts a with a nice bass part and then it pops off. In the second and third songs I already hear parts that remind me of Public Apology (still so god damn good, i mean it is called Fatal Disease 2 but whatever hahaha) so I’m absolutely thrilled. The guitar is doing some similar work I heard on Social Capital also, so I think it’s safe to say they’ve combined some elements from their each of their past EPs all on this guy and it blends perfectly. Man... love it, blast this. Record Release show is tomorrow in Olympia and it’s free! If that’s your area and you’re not doing a dang thing... no reason not to go, sounds like a sweet deal
