#2: 2021

I had to get the rant off my chest.
As a young person, our future makes me anxious & afraid, as opposed to excited and eager.
Our democracies are under pressure, intolerance and division is increasingly becoming the norm, and 'truth' is slowly becoming a matter of opinion, as opposed to a uniform product of critical thought.
Oh, and there's also the insurmountable threat of Biochemical Warfare, Artificial Intelligence and this thing called Climate Change.
However, although we're almost at the 'point of no return', one thing is abundantly clear; the actions and decisions we take over the next 100 years have the potential to effect the next 1,000.
We may have been born into a period of uncertainty and bleak futures, but we were also born into a consequential transition period for the species. Our generation can prove to be consequential. The only question we have to ask ourselves is "will we change the game, or be more of the same?", and that, is completely up to us.
