Jody, I can’t thank you enough. I was thrown into welding on accident after a guy up and quit at work about 10 years ago now. First thing I did was pull up your videos with a quick CZcams search and it was game over after that. I’ve been a fan ever since. I’ve listened to every single podcast and still learn stuff from you guys. I want to thank you, I’ve been to places I thought I would never see, done things i thought I would never do and made money I never thought I would make all because of your videos and information you provide. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and I sincerely appreciate every bit of content you share with us.
what a cool story and experience
What is an “on accident”
I'll answer that , it's slang for an accident because no american can say “an accident” or undersatand there is no such thing as an “accident” everything is a result of negligence , but saying accident relieves your weak brains of responsibilities! Thank the liberal agenda
Have to tell ya, I appreciate your videos. I refer friends and family to them whenever they talk about learning how to weld. Back when I was enrolled in a trades school I'd watch some of your videos from time to time to keep my mind moving towards my goal. Now that I'm doing 100% x-ray // sure wave welding as a pipefitter in a Union, happy to see you're still sharing your knowledge. Thanks!
This week Jody I'm reaching out to those who I've subscribed and liked on CZcams as far as welding you were high on my list because you showed your audience not just grabbing welding equipment and playing around but how to weld how to inspect your weld and how to learn from your mistakes and progress forward not backwards there are many things that you have shown America and the world in your little corner of welding we all appreciate you and everything you've done again thank you Jody
Just know that some folks really appreciate all of the free content that you have put out for years !!!! Tons of valuable information!!!! I have worked in oil and gas new construction for the last 10 years or so , running a rig truck life was great. 2020 changed that for myself and most of my coworkers. Because of the content you have put out Jody I was able to find work doing aluminum fabrication. If it wasn’t for your information you shared I would have no idea where to begin!!!! So yes !!!! I’ll be happy to to pay for a subscription!!!! I understand not everyone is able or willing to do that but they need to understand the knowledge that you share is extremely valuable and can be used to make a good honest living. Thank you !!!!!
Hi
Jodi - this makes sense - and I love how it will incorporate other leaders. We all get great value from what you've shared - and i'm sure there are other things I pay for that are not as valuable. I heard Johannas talk about a period of no work he went through, on your podcast. Was pleased to see he is included in your new venture. Best of luck to all of you!
Wow! Just what I needed. My semester is almost up for my TIG class. It's been fun up until aluminum (stainless was my favorite), but aluminum has been quite the challenge. Thanks for the tips.
I'm currently using a 3/32 lanthanated rod 30% ep, 180 fqz, ep 60 amps en 90 amps.
I've been pretty successful at preventing the metal from bottoming out.
Thank you for all the lessons, I still refer to your CD set I bought when I was still working for help and the TIG Fingers are great, I am retired and wish I could see the other guys . Thanks again,, Richard .
Welded alluminum yesterday for the first time and had a few questions. This video answered them all! Thank you so much!
good luck Jodi. thank you for all your years teaching us noobs.
This is soo exciting, my how I've missed this guy! And hats off to Roy, Brad, and Johannes for taking up the gauntlet💪
Youve been such an awesome source for so many years.. thank you
I hope to join and continue the “lightbulb “moments.
This is so rad Jodi! As helpful as your CZcams videos are, having a structured program is always such a great value. Thanks for all you do.
Wow didn't think I'd see you here!
Sir,32 years of focusing on the production and research and development of manual arc welding machines, if you are interested, you can take a look at our products
Totally awesome... I learned some aluminum TIG welding back in Aberdeen Proving Ground while I was in the Army in 2000. This video brought back a lot of memories. Thank you. -- Neil Wiger
I stumbled across one of your videos years ago Jody. And it actually kind of got me interested and intrigued in welding and the processes. So I went out and bought a mig welder then I bought a Tig welder. Now I’m just a hobbyist. I don’t do it for a living like some other people probably do. I have kind of been like a little kid waiting for the next Saturday morning cartoon to come out in regards to your episodes. I’ve bought stuff from your store I have the app. I hope that the content that you’ve provided and enriched my life with doesn’t disappear.
I will continue to post videos here on youtube...just not quite as much
Man this is awesome I’m pretty stoked I can’t wait thanks so much for what you do Jody you have helped me so much over the years I wouldn’t be were I’m at today if it wasn’t for watching and studying your videos I can’t wait to see that 1 million subscribers this is the year 👍👍👍
I just want to say thank you Jody for all the videos that you share. I have learned so much from watching your videos. BTW I just received my Furick Arsenal kit today from you and can't wait to test out some of the bigger cups. Keep up the great work.
Jody i can't tell you how much I've learned from your videos over the years its truly made me a better welder in every process. I'll continue supporting you through my weldmonger ap! Just got my new hand rest that I'm using for turn table stuff at work and I love it! Good luck to you man we all appreciate everything you've done for the welding community 🙏
been following you for years and have learned a TON watching your videos. with the decline of that other welding channel here.....I'll be happy to sign up for your pay-to-play, no ad content. thanks for all you share!
Jody, you have been a huge inspiration for me in starting my own channel. You're a great welder.
Jody, your tips for welding aluminum helped me pass an aluminum assignment in my college welding shop! Thank you so much for your informative videos!
As someone who's just getting into TIG welding, this video was super helpful and interesting! Thanks!
God Himself only knows how many times I've watched Jody's video's over the last decade. I keep coming back to them because they are such good reference material. I pickup on new things each time, and find myself backing the video up to catch what Jody said cuz he hits the ground running in every video!!!!
Great video. I am a self-appointed pro MIG welder. A couple of classes online, a trip to Lowes, and now I'm a pro. Lol
I noticed a lot of guys use a glove on the rod hand. If you can learn to roll your fingers as you add rod you can use almost all of the rod and you dont have to stop. After using tig on my job an old timer taught me this technique. After a while I could weld bare hand which makes tig so much easier. this is a great video he's using the perfect technique.
I’ve always enjoyed your videos and supported you through your store. I’ll support you with this too but I hope it’s more than making pretty welds on 1/8th aluminum.
I’m the guy that voted for aerospace content.
Looking forward to the show!
Thanks👊
Jodi - have a suggestion for you: put a "scholarship" box as option on everyone's subscription. For those that want to offer an extra $2.00 to cover scholarship to some who say they can't afford the paid content. People could apply for a scholarship subscription and 100% of the "scholarship" money would go to providing to those that applied and were given free access. Perhaps for limited time - to rotate them in and out. Just a thought.
Got a weld test for. New job tomarrow haven't welded in over a year so now I'm watching a bunch of CZcams videos to build my confidence 😂
Jody, love yur videos! No BS & straight shoot'n is refreshing & has t'effect of EZ absorption of your educational presentation. Just terrific. Hope 2 c yur new educational channel soon!👍
Aluminum just kicks my butt. I taught myself mig welding, and only picked up tig to weld aluminum. I can even tig steel now, but aluminum is just such a different animal!
Jody,
Just wanted to say thanks for another great video! I probably wouldn't have gotten into TIG welding without your videos, which is why I try to support you through your store when I can. I'll be interested to learn what your new subscription cost will be, to decide if it makes sense for my needs.
Thanks again for all the wisdom that you've shared throughout the years!
Thank you
This is a great video im in a weld training program and working with tig mainly aluminum and stainless this is helping me alot aluminum is giving me some issues with starting and finishing on butt welding
I just want to say that you are an awesome guy and I would like to thank you for posting great video content making it possible for me to widening my skills! Guys like you truly make my life worth living!
The rest is up to me. Thank you a thousand times!
Congratulations Jodi, I believe it will be a success, great idea you had!
I'm pretty a self taught welder and still make a lot of mistakes. I want to learn more and more as I am in the process of starting my own business after recently retiring from a job that I found no satisfaction in. I've only recently started mig welding with flux core and love it. I can stick weld pretty good but could always use help. Never tig welded before and want to learn and add it to my arsenal. I guess what I'm saying is that I can't wait for you to start that new channel.
Thanks for everything you do you have been a tremendous help to me and my pursuit of the craft
I am saw your video after I become a good welder you are my teacher thanks Jody.
I’ve learned a lot from you Mr Jodi - look forward to checking out the content !
Как давно тебя не было на Ютубе! Тиг сварка в моих руках благодаря тебе приносит достойные деньги! Привет тебе из России, с огромной благодарностью.
Thank you for sharing, the welding pad to practice beading is a game changer 🙌
Love your work! and a great set of tips for anyone looking to get better at GTAW AL
I can't afford a subscription, but it was good learning while I could
I’ll still be posting here on CZcams just not as often
Amazing. Welding is an art, you just proved that 👌
This video helped me pass my test , I appreciate you
Really useful video. Thank you for all your help over the years.
Hi Jody, big thanks for all the vids, hints, tips and advice over the years ,much appreciated 🙂👍
Hi from the UK..
Love the welding... gota say the foot pedal is the only way to stop porosity at the end of the weld.
Also get the rite tungsten I've seen that many don't understand..
Great job guys.. Great video 😆 🤣
Now watching 😆 🤣
For me this man is the best welder I have ever seen on social media, he is a complete master of all the processes and is a specialist in all metals, I am a welder and I also have 20 years of experience in all the processes and he repeated, for me he is the best and without fanfare, he is the best
Retired welder here that still dabbles with my Miller shoebox tig/stick welder. Wanted to thank you for all your videos, Jody. You're a very good instructor. I wanted to ask if you ever heard of this aluminum preheat trick an old-timer taught me years ago. He told me when having to preheat aluminum because of thickness he said to fire up your oxy/acetylene torch and adjust the torch so you're pushing out mostly carbon smoke. Then smoke up your aluminum piece real good. Next set your torch to your heating points and then start to heat the piece. When the carbon disappears then your aluminum piece is preheated enough to weld. Let me know if you ever heard of this one. Take care DAWG the retired welder from the Show Me State.
I've never heard of this....but really looking forward to giving it a try!
I'm in the Show-Me state as well; south central.
Thanks-
@@ls2005019227 go for it Robert, always went by this old guy's tip and the preheat was just right. I'm in Columbia area and originally from Pittsburgh PA. Steel town USA
Christ - all the moaning about a subscription service. Jody has given us free content for decades and many of us owe much of our welding education to him. All the video's are still out there. Quit your bitchin and find them. Thanks so much Jody> The godfather of welding videos !
Thanks Jody I look forward to the new platform. Keep burning and turning we love ya.
Excellent demonstration. Very helpful. Thanks
Awesome! Super excited about this. Big Tech sucks, I'm happy to support your efforts. You've been a massive help to me!
Enjoyed the video. I learned a lot from it. Thanks
Watching a video of keeping the filament rod keeping in the gas dome... is vital and you do need to keep with that aspect in all your videos.
You will be blessed in your new channel . Great Idea
You make it look so easy but I'm sure it's not at all. Well done.
Thanks for sharing with us Jody.🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋
I wish you well and I'll miss your content here if you leave. It's some of the clearest, most professional material available to "hobbyists" like myself and certainly appreciated. Your TIG-fingers work well for steel-welding MIG-gots like myself too, though you and Justin have got us strongly considering a TIG machine to improve our steel and add aluminum to our projects when we've got more budget.
Any platform that's robust and secure enough for more than 100 folks or for payments is still part of "Big Tech", FWIW. Platforms are communication tools and there are only a handful that are going to persist. You can't efficiently be on all platforms, but I really hope you'll continue to add here where it makes sense for you.
I’ll still be posting here on CZcams just not as often
That is awesome aluminum welding! Thanks for sharing.
Sign me up! Thank you guys for your efforts and standing up to big tech jerks.
Thank you that was a great broad summary.
Thanks found some great info in this video👍
Great video, I'm getting closer and closer to buying a TIG myself. Content like this will help get on and learn effectively . Thanks.
If I may? Buy it. Dont look back. Im very close to retirement from my “real” job, and welding and fabricating has put a spark in me like I cant begin to explain.
@@glenpiro313 Sir you may and I will be doing in the weeks to come.
I’ll be ur number one subscriber! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for sharing this video watching from Fiji island
Very cool machine. Thanks for the great video!
Wow, this is some work of art.
You're a stud. Absolutely hate all this hypocrisy and garbage with tech and controlled media.
Stoked to see what's coming next and the new direction to get out from under them/you/usTube!

Very informative. Much appreciated. Do you ever use a feed tool to hold and feed tig rod or just old school way with fingers?
You are good at your craft!
Awesome, thanks Jodi.

Hope you show, inverter, stuff too. 👍
How is the structural integrity of these welds AND…..does the aluminum buckle? Warp? Distort? Excellent video BYW
What type of tungsten is needed for aluminum? Awesome videos mister!!!
Excellent tips
Great info thanks so much 👍👍👍👌
Hey Jody, I notice you are using a clear cup here and I've seen you use a Furick ceramic cup to Weld AL in AC Tig before and I'm wondering about the notification on WeldMonger to use these two cups in DC mode. Both cups have a little text in the description that say to only use these two cups in DC because the arc can short out at the metallic wire screen used to diffuse the argon. Are you pulling those screens out and welding without them or are you doing something else I can't see? Welding in AC on AL is a new thing for me and my focus until now has been to make sure my arc length is as short as possible and to keep my torch angle as vertical as I can manage so I haven't even noticed I was welding AL with both the clear and ceramic cups that have the wire mesh screen diffusers for the gas. Could you please comment on this. I know you can't address every question and problem on here and WeldMonger but it seems like a contradiction between the instructions on the website and the application in practice here. Thanks man. And thank you for all you do. I don't even mind paying a tiny bit more on the store because I know it helps support all the education you do for this community.
EXCELLENT!! Thank you!
Hello, I'm also a Korean welding CZcamsr. I can see the melt well. What kind of equipment did you use to film it?
Good très bon travail ❤
Hi Jodi I'm in the 1st year of my apprenticeship (Plate Shop) Have MIG + MMA codings. Going into my 2nd year I will be going into the Pipe Shop, is there different electrode's for using Stainless? The root + hotpass are Tig, filled + capped with MMA. Thanks....always learning 💪
