Led by Jason Max Ferdinand and The Aeolians
For the first fifteen minutes of this seminar, Director Jason Max Ferdinand shared his approach and perspective on choral directing. Then Ferdinand and The Aeolians together led an interactive session in which participants explored skillful choral directing and learned effective and persuasive gestures that could improve a choir’s sound.

Excellent seminar! After not having led a choir for a number of years, I have been offered a position to lead a top notch group in my area, so I have been rethinking and preparing for that first rehearsal. Many of the things that were discussed and demonstrated here are things which I also espouse. This session really helped me to focus on what I want to do. Thank you.
"The drive, the plan, the grind, sacrifice, the payoff." This is the testimony of my life. This statement that Jason has noted is true..."There will always be people that will not like what you do." I believe this is where the five prior statements come to life in ones journey. Thanks Jason!
Hi
So informative and enlightening. I can tell that his choir loves him to life.
All former Young 6 members,(alive and now deceased),to which Dr Max Ferdinand was a proud member of, we have had a good run and have received from the Lord the very best of Dr Ferdinand in those formative years of vocal precision. God bless you Dr Ferdinand.
This has inspired me TO NO END!!!!!!!! God I needed this!
I am glad you, went into music. You are still healing lives by the power of music.
That Monica knows the LORD! More Monica!!!!
Monica's conducting was fabulous as well. It was so organic!
Just look at the 5 seconds after 34:56 and notice the almost perfect exponential decay in volume at the end of the phrase, and how her conducting directly influenced it.
Just Amazing, Jason is extremely talented and a Master at what he does
And I have the pleasure of knowing Professor Dr. Lloyd Mallory
Inspiring! Such the life and experience of a musician! We are definitely addicts
That's true, dear cousin!
Thank you so much Jason, I have learnt so much I watched the whole seminar from start to finish. God bless
Excellent! I just wish I could hear better! I learned so much. Thank you, Jason, for sharing your techniques!
Why am I enjoying this lecture so much ❤
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you for posting.
Great master class.
What a great class!
Ah... Now I understand more, why I like this choir and its director: Rest in peace Dr. Nathan Carter.
I learned so much. Thank you
Awesome lesson to be learnt 💥💥💥
Did the audio tech not hear the extra guy singing in the mic who isn’t a part of the choir? I’m embarrassed as a former music student at Calvin! And, the piano micd, but not one mic on the choir. Oh my!😂😂😂
I think that was the conductor
He was singing some of the lead melody off and on
Master Class...whew
