www.nucleusinc.com/medical-ani... Episiotomy is commonly performed during childbirth to prevent tearing of the perineum. This 3D medical animation depicts two types of episiotomy during labor and delivery, a surgical procedure during vaginal birth in which an incision is made in the perineum to widen the vaginal opening, in order to allow a baby to pass through and be born. A midline incision extends straight down from the vagina toward the anus. A mediolateral incision is made on an angle from the vagina in the direction of the anus.

I just had a mediolateral episiotomy for my baby boy last week.. Yep, it's no joke! It hurts so bad. I'm in so much pain still, and can barely sit down. Saying that, as I look into my baby's eyes, it's worth every single bit of pain. He's my everything. 💙💙💙
Same here
Aww..thats cute.....may god bless you and your lil. One😊
ur baby's almost 6 months !
AWWW! Is he okay? I wish the best out of you and the father and the baby!! 💓💓💓💓
I hope you both are safe
Im shaking right now this what exactly my wife gone through and healing process ohhhh very painful to watch what she going through im so so tankful to her for the sacrifice she did, i need to take a good care of her lot more.
You are kind. Tell her for that. She will be happy
Yes you should treat her like a queen
After watching this video I'm getting my mum a card bouquet of flowers, chocolates, chips, candy, presents, for risking her life for me
Youre sweet! I hope youre mum liked them
Sounds super painful. Why does something that's natural have to be so painful. You'd think that our bodies would be designed to deliver a baby without tearing. You know because we were meant to birth them.
Agreed. The main reason I don’t want kids is because of all the pain that comes with it.
@@ayannaking6824 i mean there is epidural i think its worth it either way once you see your kid i think everything would be worth it
Because Adam and Eve sin
Anicool Singh Back in the day of no epidurals, the shot to numb the area was an unpleasant surprise for me.
It is. There are many videos on CZcams of natural births with absolutely no tearing.
Women deserve evry respect 😔
Pregnancy is not in my future
I am having a baby due around may or Jun one thing i dont blame you this world is not fit for kids anymore to much craziness
FELT DIS
Its normal, but its so worth it after all the hard work, you have this beautiful loving thing you created right in your arms, she looks exactly like you or your partner, and u feel like you love her immeidiatly...she is a beautiful bundle of joy, and you get to watch her grow up, take care of you, children are a blessing if you raise them right.
This is the nature, if every women have the mindset like 'i dont want pregnancy', then no one will be born.
I said that and now I’m pregnant
I can say this was SOOOOOO painful!! Childbirth naturally was bad enough on its on but the epesiotomy made sitting, urinating horrific for the first week or so after childbirth . hard to look back and see I had this with all 3 of my babies
Every time I have a moment where I’m like “awe maybe I’ll get pregnant one day how bad can it be” I come across something like this. Thank you for bringing me back to my senses, adoption here I come 😂
Adopt me plix
Same, I don't know if I can put my body through so much pain.
I'm dead no children for me
Next twenty years: AAAHHHHHH

I’m currently healing from this and honestly I’d do it again because now I have my beautiful baby boy 💕🐣 but yeah them pains ain’t no joke lol
Meranda Gonzalez I just gave birth 3 weeks ago. Wondering if I healed already lol but it was painful asf
Sometimes it can take more time to heal. Make sure it’s not infected.
Igot my second daughter 21 years ago with that, and i guarantee you in less than two weeks, its was all over... all i felt was some kind of stinging sensation.Annoying but bearable. I forgot everything when i got my beautiful baby. Good hygiene, healthy diet,a lot of rest helped a lot... and after that, got to exercise the pelvic floor muscles to avoid future problems... you know... the leaks n all that... I hot three ither children after her, and i have not envountered the slightest difficulty or had to undergo this procedure again. Take care of yourselves mommas and of your lil precious blessings. They worth the pain.

I’m 16 so I have a while but on a scale from 1 to 10 how bad does it hurt 😑😬
@@jaylajackson8550 Tbh i would say 2... but i had an epidural. So i fidnt feel anything during the procedure. NOT ONE THINGThat was weird but efficient. The discomfort came when the drug got flushed out of my system the following day... but nothing to be scared of if you take good care of yourself. Yes young lady, like you said you have time. I hope that you are doing well at school to prepare your future, and keeping your mother by your side. She ll be your 1st help and support on that big day. I guarantee you that. Blessings.
Hatts off to our ladies..
That's why I respect all the mothers. Mostly my mom. I love you Mama, I know what you've been through.
I've heard about this from my mother before but I didn't know that this procedure is given a different name. She also told me that many times the local anesthesia is not done in some patients which is unbearably painful!
I had this done as my son was very premature. I pushed him out up to his ears but unfortunately I relaxed and he slide back in so they had to cut me. the recovery was the most painful thing I had to go thru especially because I had an infection. Sex with hubby was like doing it for the first time again. But once it was healed its as if I never had it done. Women's bodies are amazing
thanks ladies for tolerating all that pain for survival of mankind and that is wealthy and god will satisfy you in other life

Omg i wish you were my husband

I gave birth to my baby boy on 12th april this year, and had a mediolateral episiotomy without anesthesia, I didn't feel anything, but the postpartum was a nightmare🥴 I couldn't sit down for about 2 months. Yes, I will do it all again for my baby 💙
How you didn't feel anything sis??😭
Maybe your body was in shock during the labor pain?
I wanna be a mother in the future, but this looks like nightmare
Why doctor after birth cut in vagina I'm so hurt so much 😡😡
This is much rarer now, check your hospital episiotomy rates with the country's average. They have found tearing heals faster and often leaves less of tear as episiotomy often continues to tear during labor. So you know.
My mum had to do this for me
Same
Me too
Thats why love your mum
Same so damn brave for only 1 baby
Sameeeee
I'm so happy to be pregnant, but terrified of ripping or episiotomy!!
ur baby is 6 now!!
Babies are gross
How was Ur delivery ?
@hit or miss I never asked to be born and plus it's my opinion, I never needed your reply.
@@JuanRamirez-ud2pe I'm simply stating MY opinion and if you don't agree you didn't have to reply. :)
This was soo hard to watch!! ahh i know its only a demonstration but still i cringed
Try 3 months to recover. 3 weeks? If only!
Morgie O that!s what happened to my mom
I didnt have an Episiotomy i took 3 weeks to heal my baby is 6 weeks old.
I know mine took 13 weeks to heal, liars
I had my natural birth 13 years ago with this cut. Honestly I still get pains there,
Oh my god....the pain they go through...salute
My dr actually said "oops" during mine. I wish I could have seen the look on my husbands face!
Imagine how this felt back in the caveman times.

I just had an episiotomy cut about nine hours. It hurts a bit after the anaesthesia wears off. I’m looking at my baby realising that it hurts, but I’m grateful she’s here
Is sex life enjoyable after the vaginal stiches?
Episiotomy is the reason I don't give birth in a hospital. I give birth at home instead. My body stretches and I have no tears. 😊 ❤
This is pretty much gential mutilation. It's not needed at all, a tear will heal better and if DRs got the woman of her back and upright she wouldn't tear (or tear badly). Informed consent is a crock because DRs just tell the woman the beneifits and not the cons of having this done and by the time you've given all the facts the womans pushed the baby out and didn't need it it done anyway.
You're duuuuuuumb
Ooh 5yrs on and remembering the mediolateral healing time 🤦🏼♀️ thankfully we have great doctors/nurses and medicine in this day and age ❤️
Is sex life enjoyable after the vaginal stiches?
I've never been this scared .
This video: *scares me*
Future me: *adoption!*
Yes I feel the same 😂😂🥺
... I came here after a video on epidurals. After this, I thoroughly traumatized.
If I decide to have kids in the future, I'm definitely adopting.
This was me 9 months ago, so much pain AFTERWARDS. Luckily I had an epidural and didn't feel it actually being done but remember seeing the scissors and the sensation 🤮
I love my daughter now but those first few weeks not being able to recover properly took those joyful moments with my daughter away.
*faint*
Thank you to all the mother's ... !!!
🙏
Well worded. I will give you a tip of the hat, as I believe we have came to a consensus. It should be used sparingly. Probably done WAY too often. Interesting video though?
I don't remember receiving any injection to numb the skin.. the blade just went through and there was a burning sensation.
I had it..and it hurts.. specially during the sewing part..I been screaming crying whole time the stitches were made..it's more painfull than how I thought..my cut was very deep..doctors made sure baby come out very smoothly easily
whooohooo!!!! IT WAS AWSOME. thank you for that.
i had this... it felt like somebody beat up my parts really hard.
As a medical officer, i have to really say its the best decision to perform an episioltomy, prolonging of labour or if their is an obstruction leads to even fetal demise due to hypoxia or even distress. Its ever the best desicion but the most painful.
So painful I had this with both of my delivery and it was very painful not forgetting the stitching part
Thank you mom for letting me in the word :)
Pregnancy in episiotomy conditions in j shape cut ?
@medicinmanden : if that were so true, why do countries like Holland have much lower rates of the 'need' for this procedure?
Back at ya!
Had an episiotomy when i had my baby recently. I handled the labor pain very well, even delivery was smooth but now I feel like the doctor cut my clit in half or something because I can’t pee! It’s way to sensitive. But everything else was no big deal. 1 baby btw.
when u are in all kinds of pain at that moment you will not care about this procedure at all... i had this and i didnt realise i had it
Don't want your vagina cut? Then stand up and have a long proper delivery! Sounds more natural than a freaky procedure to save your doctor's time.
The vagina can be cut by itself
It's not the patient's choice you twit
Just done this 2 weeks ago, I honestly still dont know how I endure all of the pain.
My mum want me to look at this stuff when im literally under 15 and she just somehow thinks that I need to know all of this stuff at this age "JUST IN CASE"
If anyone is watching this pregnant....do not get pictocin for inducing! It makes the pain even worse and you are more likely to haemorrhage afterwards. I did right after I pushed out the placenta. It's hell.
Sherry lee Raven this is so true i have a hemorrhage in my butt hole plus the cutting in my birth canal its so painful. 😢
Like the explanation.
Nah, besides in my family we all have a nasty track record... Only cesareans because the women's hips and cervixes aren't wide enough...
So yes, adopting. Unless I get over my trauma.
Please tell me this is not painful in a way that I can bear the pain! Waaaaaah!!!
i must say i do prefer this video over the live surgey
와 진짜 대박이다 이건.....
What a beautiful vlog🥺❤️ baddie season baby 😌😌😌. Please continue blessing us with this wonderful content
When I gave birth to my first baby, the midwife doesn't cut my areas, instead, it was automatically cut when my baby came out. It really hurts because there's no anestesia used
Unfortunately I don't think you payed close attention the video's reasons why this procedure may be done. Reference 1:03. I'm no doctor but I have seen first hand how long it can take just to get the baby to crown. You claim they do this in prevention, and you're right. But what they are trying to prevent is pain on the mothers end for extended duration.
Dear lord... A friend just had a baby and explained this to me. Women are troopers lol
3am.. why am i even here? This is so damn painful 😭😭 dont even wanna imagine that
painful during healin
Just experienced this 2 months ago it hurts really bad and I can't move or walk like a normal person
If I ever get a pregnancy test that's + I...will...pass...OUT! xD
I laughed so hard at this.. but at the same time I think I'm gonna do the same when I find out mine 😅😅 omg
I remember the doctors having to do this to me due to difficulties pushing my daughter out , when the anesthesia wears off the pain when you urinate or even sit down let alone walk was terrible!, 3 weeks to heal!!? Try over a month
I had this done 11 years ago and shortly after extremely constipated due to gallstones 😭😭
It was worse than Labor😭😭
Even though I’m male, I can still feel the pain in the video.
i don’t want kids anymore

An episiotomy does NOT take 3 weeks to heal!
Nice video info👌
They did this to me to prevent from ripping upwards. Still would hurt a year later.
After 3 weeks a thread comes out of vagania is it normal need worry
It's really painful😌... But after seeing my baby I forgot all my pain...
Thx for clear my doubts

After I had mine done, the first thing the nurse said was "So are you gonna have another one?" 🤦🏾🤦🏾 7 years later and my kid is an only child
Our pain is a thrill for them. Thats why most of them do it.
O.o man in biology we learned about pregnancy and all of this...and she told us about this...All I have to say is, OW! and Wow!!!
Does it hurt while stiching?? Does local anesthesia really work ??...I want to know bcoz my delivery is near...😢😢

Trust me it’s worst than it looks, my son came legs first and it took 2 HOURS! I’m not planning on getting pregnant ANYMORE!
Did that hurt because I'm afraid too have a baby
Of course it hurts you idiot.
it hurts really really bad when they stitch it up
I’m scared now I thought having a baby wasn’t so bad but now I think I’m good 😅
😲😲🤯🤯child birth is so painful. I would love to adopt.
Icant imagine I went through that
Thanks sir
I’m at the end of my 22 weeks I hope when baby comes I do not need this!
The body will absorb the stitches so no need to be remove, damn!! I didnt know that i thought u have to go back to the doctor to get them remove
It's super painful... Don't know why my doctor did it to me.
@sarkerm2 yeah, surgeons do that so the expulsion of the babay will be easy! But it doesnt hurt at all because they are injecting local anesthesia. and they do episiorrhapy after.
Ouch had this two weeks ago
I had an emergency c section. Watching this somehow eases my pain lol i think this wouldve been worse
I have done this last weak for my baby boy 💕🥰 still barely sit but will do this again 🐥
so educatng
This actually is way worse then tearing during birth the rate of infection and healing has went up and this is proven to be THE worse way to help during birth.
Sounds like a computer generated Mr. Mackey from south park 😂
