- Our OE type switches are the perfect finishing touch for stealth OEM like install. Here is an easy to follow instructional video on how to wire our optional OE Toyota Push Switch to the STEDI Wiring Harness. For a full range of our Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, Ford Ranger, BT-50 switches head over to our website
www.stedi.com....
Surely it would make ultimate sense to have the same wires for the Stedi button switch.
None of these videos ever show how to wire it up to the dash lights
Look up splicing techniques you can solder or use specific connectors
How do you tap into the dash light circuit that’s what’s not shown
This video doesn't go into the current Stedi kits. This short coming should be mentioned here.
Currently in our list to reshoot in our new format.
When you say dash connection for the led, I get it after connecting the other 3 anyway, using the single output harness with the quick connect switch line, what use would connection the 4th (blue cable) be?
I love this shit. Massive fan of Stedi, and this kinda video sucks me right in
tell me if I got this right
Breaking it down:
Ground wire- ground/earth
Dash light wire- 12v car accessory (either park light, tail light, 12v socket) tap something that will give constant light to the switch
Relay wire- [power out] to turn on the light bar when the switch is depressed/turned on
Source wire- [power in]
Question:
Can I connect the "dash light wire" together with the "source wire" with a 3amp fuse in-between?
The idea was for the switch dash light to turn on when the high beams are 'ON' and not when the accessory light is on. But I am not certain if it will work this way.
Haven’t found a single video on hooking up to a relay and my switch says it will melt switch if you don’t use a relay.
We have lined up to renew this video, basically we just mean that the source, such as the harness, requires to be fused with a relay.
The heat shrink wasn't even covering the exposed wires? Then u covered it up with tape to hide the potential short
I noticed that too 😅 but I very much doubt he'll even use this, I'd say it's just for the demo video.
where do I put the high beam signal? I want my additional spot lights to turn on if I turn on my OEM high beam and the STEDI button is pushed. if the STEDI button is not pushed and I turn on my OEM high beam, the additional spot lights should not turn on.
The high beam signal is part of the plug n play stedi harness, not this mitsubishi spot light button harness.
The play n play harness plugs into high beam bulb with a piggyback adapter, which goes into the relay, which then goes to the switch.
Say what? Didn't understand a work this guy said
I wired mine as per diagram and left the dash light wire on plug, but it still lights up when spotties are on? Is the dash light referring to the spotlight logo lighting up and not the blue led?
Yes
How come you didn’t use an in line fuse, is this not really necessary?
The inline fuse is pre-wired into our supplied wiring harness. These switches should always be fused and run with a relay.
Where do I tap into accessories so I receive power for the LED?
Find an accessories power feed - cigarette socket is usually a good place
Any power source that is active while in accessories mode
@@omfgishBenneh don't you want to tap into the dash light circuit so the dash light dimmer works
N80 Dash circuit tap in. PLEASE SHOW US!
Yeh we can’t tell you the colours because it’s manufacturer dependant ... so here are the colours to join up. 😂
Not even the Stedi video shows you what to do with the dash light and vehicle earth wires. Great.
We are currently in the process of refilming all instructional videos, I have noted this to make clear in the reshoot.
@@stedi_lighting thanks. I currently have the red and black wires just hanging out because I have no idea what to do with them 💁♂️
I can't find the harness on the website???

need subtitles please mate
Please learn to join wires properly!
Bit bodgey i think would prefer stedi light harness just plug into back of the switch job done no cutting of wires & rejoining just bullshit, like been back in the 70s imo
We hear you. We've got a quick connect, plug and play system arriving soon
@@stedi_lighting any updates on this? Because I just bought one and am watching this video, so I don't think it has happened yet 😅
