You created all of your problems. You had it up on that sidewalk and all you had to do. Was too tilted a little bit the right there over the edge instead of putting that cardboard there you couldâve just left. Everything the way it was and had your catch pan on it right underneath of it. You didnât need to do what you did. It wouldâve been very easy. Just hang two wheels over the edge of the sidewalk and then directly drain right into your pan. Everything a bit tilted the right way. And it wouldâve went straight down into the pan.
Thanks for watching and I agree I caused a disaster. Iâm going to slide a small cookie sheet under it next time as suggested by another viewer and hopefully that will make it much cleaner and easier
We have one at work. We have treated it like shit barely any oil changed and at one point it was running backwards lol exhausting through the intake. And it still runs like a champ 6 years strong XD
Thanks for watching! Thatâs great to hear and my experience so far has been very positive. With proper maintenance I really hope to have it last a very long time
Wow... How many time can we use the word Disaster? And I thought the Hindenburg was a disaster..... but this.....THIS was a DISASTER! Hope the EPA doesn't see this LOL. Thank you for the effort to make the video..... just maybe think things through a bit more and relax..... don't sweat the small stuff.... and BTW, this was all small stuff. I have to admit, it was entertaining..... but probably not for the reasons you were going for.
Thanks for watching and absolutely - it will be changed every 25 hours. In my opinion that will help provide maximum longevity. I know it can be stretched out longer but oil is cheap and small engines donât have filters so Iâd rather change it every 25 hours and have the engine last a long long time.
I just bought one and have done 2 oil changes, first at 2 hrs and second one at 5 hrs. First change was a disaster oil everywhere. Second change was totally different. I got a cookie and slid it under the gen and put a good tilt on it to drain the oil out and barely spilt a drop. Next oil change in 10 hrs and should be good to go.
Duh.. You dont realize you solved your problem when you were tilting it.. Just put a 1" x 1" peice of wood under the wheels on the other side and you can drain every drop of oil without spilling a drop. You used a piece of cardboard as a drain pan, on your porch step.. Really? Thats why you have a mess.. And you used a cut water jug to catch the oil..? Yes you created a gigantic mess...

I have the same one for work, get a flexible funnel, it makes it easier to change the oil.
Thanks for watching!
This is painful to watch...
It was even more painful in real life đ€Šââïž. Thanks for watching!
Props for posting this video Iâd be too embarrassed to
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! I will post a follow up at the next oil change with some new techniques to avoid the Exxon Valdez oil spill that happened
You changed the oil at 6hrs runtime; great. Are you also going to change it at 30 hrs, when the owner's manual says to change the break-in oil?

All you need is like a small pie pan to slide under it would work a lot better
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching and I am 100% going to go with the cookie sheet next time!
Purchased a drainzit for mine. Going to add it after changing my oil for the first time. Hopefully, that helps.
Thanks for watching!
I normally just add oil to mine. It burns away so fast there is never anything to change. The stick is always dry when I check.
Thanks for watching!
Soo funny. I have one of these and I also have a Champion cover on it.
Thanks for watching!
Put cat litter or oil dry on the spilled oil
Thanks for watching and thatâs a good point I didnât think about - Iâll give it a try!
Where are all the 3d printer peoples. We need an attachment made that will clip on the bottom into a funnel.
prob be easy with an oil pump
Thanks for watching! Next time I will try a baking sheet under the generator and see if itâs less messy
GravityâŠtilt it next time from the start. Problem solved
