The World's GREATEST Daily Driver is a FERRARI FF

  • The Ferrari FF is one of the most underrated Ferraris in my opinion. It's got a massive 6.2L V12 with over 650HP and 500ft-lb of torque! Add in 4 seats, all wheel drive, and a huge hatchback and suddenly you have a very practical daily driver that hauls!

    I bought my 2012 FF in 2019 with 28k miles. I now have 53k miles. It replaced my 2007 M5 that I put 167k miles on. Ferrari says it is 661hp. I also had the DCT replaced under the powertrain warranty at 30k miles. No problems since. Perfect for Costco runs and taking the wife and dog on roadtrips

    Very enjoyable and informative video.
    I have not had the chance to drive the FF yet, but I have driven the Lusso on several occasions. A very comfortable and sporty car with plenty of power and convenience. The longer nose can be difficult to manage for some drivers used to a mid / rear engine sports car. I have to deal with parking structures and narrow roads on a daily basis. Thank goodness for the axel lifter.

It didn't fully replace my 2013 Mini Clubman (with too many mods) but as a hatchback nerd, it's basically the same car but instead of a little french engine it has a V12 :)

    • @AB-80X
      @AB-80X Před 2 lety +1

      There's actually a pretty significant difference when it comes to how the Lusso and FF feels.
      The Lusso suspension in the bumpy road mode is a lot more GT like. I'd go as far as to say that the FF is a bit too stiff to be a really good GT, especially at lower speeds. The interior in the Lusso is a big step up in terms of feel and noise comfort. The FF has quite a bit more rattles and squeaks compared to the Lusso, and especially in the back seat, the tyre noise is a bit much. The engine in the Lusso is a bit more like the F12 engine in part because they share intake technology and they have the same type of exhaust headers.
      The 4RM system in the Lusso is a lot more refined and it feels a lot less intrusive. And obviously as the last point, the Lusso V12 has the rear wheel steering which is a god-sent in a car that big. The turning radius and agility is far superior to the FF because of that steering.

    Biased but the greatest 4 seat daily driver is the Aston Martin Rapide. Two more doors for easy entry and exit and the silhouette is much sleeker and prettier. The front wheel system would be a long term worry for me on the FF.

    I wouldn't be happy if I bought a real Ferrari (V12, not a lame V8, according to Enzo) and it shared a bunch of components with the cheap 458, and some aspects of it are not as good.
