  • Revered musician, Laurence Cottle stopped by the Rotosound stand at The UK Bass and Guitar Show, Liverpool.
    Cottle, who has played bass with the likes of Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Gary Moore, and Brian Eno, is joined by drummer Jamie Murray. The duo stunned the audience with a number of improvisations after Laurence asserted his love of Rotosound strings.

    Fantastic bassist! What is striking is his strong melodic sense - not so widespread among bass and double bass players -, his very clear sound, his great spontaneity in improvising, all supported by an extraordinary technique. I've never heard this before. Reading that Janek Gwidzala started playing bass after listening to him I started looking for videos of him. I will continue to listen to this great bass artist!     I can't stop listening to his unbelievable solo in "You're nearer" by Claire Martin. The Masterpiece! And also this track is my test for all audio systems. It shows the ability of low frequency dynamics: solo on bass with another bass sounds so great!
