Anyone watching in 2019?
We're twice the man now, Cap
No.......I'm still waiting for the notification. Maybe tomorrow.
I watched it in 1972.
MAGGOT VOMIT
Same
Yep!!
This movie was one of those instant classics. When I first saw it in the theatre, I knew I was watching something special.
I LOVE John Hughes movies. Please do them all
I consider this movie one of the top Christmas movies of all time! It’s up there with: The Polar Express; Scrooged; It’s a Wonderful Life; A Christmas Story, A Christmas Carol; Miracle on 34th Street; White Christmas, etc... lol
I have for many years now (at least the past 20) watched it on DVD each december, no Christmas without this movie. My personal favorit is with the Squirrel in the Christmas tree :D Christmas greetings from Denmark!
Hi Minty, I bought this on video in 1989 and I still watch it every Christmas without fail, still the best Christmas movie of all time, God bless Chevy Chase, Lee.
The scene in the mall with Chevy and the GORGEOUS woman is hilarious!
“I need a gift for my wife. God rest her soul.”
🤣🤣🤣
My absolute favorite Christmas movie! I watch it at least 3 times during the season.
Love the Vacation movies.
Did you know you can buy a Hot Wheels version of The Family Truckster, complete with Grandma Edna?😂😂.
Really,from where?
My sister has it. It was in our familys gift exchange one year lol
D_Dizzie _Druck @Wow,that’s great.
Aunt Edna!
@Sidney Alexander That was gonna be my question!
My favorite scene is when Clark is in the attic watching old movies when Ellen opens the trap door.
Talk about a hilarious happy movie!! Made my childhood a bit brighter to say the least.
"Shitter was full,"lol.
"Do you really think it matters Eddie?"
I actually saw this in the theater when it came out. I was around 14 years old at the time. Great film I still have on dvd and watch every year. One of my favorite Christmas movies along with Gremlins, Die hard and A Christmas story.
Awesome Christmas movie. We always play it when putting up the decorations.
I rank this movie above Home Alone and A Christmas Story absolutely hilarious and entertaining from start to finish! A Christmas must for us!
Yes finally!!!! This is my favorite traditional Christmas movie!
Christmas Vacation, despite no cinema release in the UK, is still regarded as a staple Xmas movie, probably because it was shown on TV quite quickly after release.
I love this one. I have it on Blu-ray and watch it every Christmas.
"and why is the carpet all wet Todd"?.. "I don't know Margo "
Fun fact - the office scene were Clark is mixing his drink in a Taz cup I thought weird (why not a "normal" cup). Turns out Miriam Flynn (Cousin Catherine Johnson) did the voice for Jean Tazmanian Devil in Taz-Mania. Although it could just be a remarkable coincidence? So that's at least 3 cartoon connections!
I watch this every Christmas Eve. Always have since I was a kid.
The part that always surprises me is the one between Ruby Sue and Clark at the kitchen table. It is such a tender moment , and adds another dimension to Clark's nature.
This film has it all.
Car crashes
Slapstick
One liners
And touching family moments.
my brother loves that part, shit and bricks!
Minty, if you take suggestions for movie that have a cult following, do "UHF"
Another fun fact: The Griswold's house is nextdoor to the Murtaugh's house from Lethal Weapon and across the way from the Friends fountain.
THE BEST! I have a list of favorites for Xmas but this one tops the chart for me. I watch it every year and still find it hilarious.
I first saw this movie in the theater in 1989. I remember the theater being packed and there was non-stop laughter. Glad I went to see it in the theater as now it's a great Christmas memory.
I did too
I'm fairly sure that the natural disaster was Uncle Eddie.
Minty - You have one of the best series on CZcams! Please, keep this going!
"Who am I, and why are my pants so wet!" Eddie when Katherine uses the microwave. I was still laughing at that scene two hours after watching the movie.
Minty...Thank you tons for all your great vids...I have been on a binge today and this has to be the tenth or fifteenth of you vids in a row!!! I truly enjoy the great memories of the films you review/give facts on and love your delivery and opinions!!!
I freakin’ love this Christmas movie. I’ve always wanted to see some of the cut scenes because I’m sure I’ve only ever seen one version. Great video!
I love NATIONAL LAMPOON’S CHRISTMAS VACATION. I got the DVD and I watched it every year when it’s on tv.🎄🎁🎅
Wait, what??!!! Rusty and Audrey are played by different actors in the first 2?! Mind BLOWN!! 🤯
