Diving Embudu House Reef and other dive sites in the South Male Atoll, Maldives February 2019

- The first part of the video shows diving the house reef of Embudu, mostly the Coral Garden side. This is followed by the boat dives in the South Male Atoll. The final part of the video shows stingray city with stingrays, remora, batfish etc. Twenty four dives from January/February.

Es erinnert mich an die Jahre auf Embudu,als das Hausriff noch intakt war, leider ist das nicht mehr der Fall,ein großer Teil ist zerstört, was mich unglaublich traurig macht!
Yes it is sad, but parts of it were showing recovery in Feb 2020.

I am deeply impressed by the coral fish you recorded! Could you please advise if staying on an island and doing daily boat dive will be better solutions for coral fish compared with liveaboard in Maldives? Thanks!
Sorry, I can't really answer that because I haven't done a liveaboard in the Maldives to compare it with. I have also made several videos showing the diving from Vilamendhoo, Meedhupparu, Biyadhooand Ellaidhoo and one from Embudu 2020.

Nice the island I stayed at was with tui riu atoll only opened last june I went end of january the house reef was not so great but to be honest that's because of the building work carried out there designing the island hopefully in 3 or 4 years it will improve as it's a lovely island
W e’ve watched them building several islands over the past few years. Not sure what the marine life must think about it.
Lol next time I go I need to pick 1 with a better house reef I did love it there 2 weeks but it's a shame the reef its self had been damaged I will check some other islands what I've been told about it's just nice to relax and snorkel and let the world go by I love it lol

Corne Van Gils Thank you! It was a GoPro4, setting 1080/50 with the FOV set as narrow. Occasionally I used lights (Sealife Seadragon 2500) and if I wasn’t using lights then I used. Polar Pro filter. My last three videos since then are filmed using. a GoPro7 Black, same two lights, and the quality is much better. (Akumal, Mexico, Tubbataha and Puerto Galera in the Philippines)
