Theyre fake. The serial number can be existing, but check the tags on the side. The french translation says “Appareils ios, iPados”… and in every language they have to be in capital letters: should say iOS iPadOS. I’ve seen a couple of those. Hope it helps somebody!
This one is fake for sure. I have bought a similar one. The box is hard to open. That is the first sign. You try to pull the while silicon earbud you will not be able to remove it to exchange the other size. That is the second sign. When you try to pull the sticker outside of the box, you can't tear it out smoothly. That is another fake sign. When you connect it to an iPhone, the features on the tip of each earbud sound so annoying to your ear. That is another fake sign. I finally returned it for money back since I bought up to $175.00 with plastic sealed but ended up, it was exactly like the one you have in hand. I finally got the real one from Walmart for $229. It costs more but you have a piece of mind. The sound is very good compared to 1st gen. That is proof you got the real one. Return it to get the real one. The real one will never cost under $200.
First of all, did you buy those on eBay? Besides the overly loud tones when you open the case, they came in a Pen+Gear envelope which is sold at Walmart. Secondly, the plastic wrap that was on those AirPods was messy and a bit too long. So, yes, you got fakes.

You’ll know when you check the individual weights of the case and the ear pieces with a micro scale and compare to the listed weights online

Why didn't u show the sync to iphone if u on iOS 16 and u get that message when trying to pair u know they fake
