Temporary visa is one year and two years after two years you can get a four year visa then after the four years you can get permanent visa then.

Hello. Why didn't you mention the RNE program? The prices set for traditional residency are for the very wealthy. Most retirees don't make even half or even a third of $4400. Not everyone here is rich... U.S.

Nothing against Mexico but if I brought home $7300 per month I wouldn't choose Mexico for permanent residency.
It's a plan B. You get without having to be there.
