- I find it very hard to write summaries, especially for a year as wild and unpredictable as this. But to end 2019 with this video I think is the perfect representation of all I/we had hoped to accomplish this year. It’s my dream to make outdoor skating videos. Few things are closer to my soul than skating under a boundless ceiling of sky. I’m so lucky to be able to create and capture something that is out of reach of so many people, and share it with them like they were right there and a part of it. Because they/you are. You helped me get here, every step of the way. With every like, every comment, every share and of course every press of the “Follow” button (now at 144K and counting!), you gave On Ice Perspectives the credibility it needed to make amazing things happen. And you’ve given skaters the world over a place to see the positivity in what they do. I love reading your comments and support not just to these skaters but also the ones in your lives whom you tag, share and laugh with. It’s a community I didn’t expect to find so easily, and I’m proud to continue to help it grow. 🙌 Thank you all for an amazing year! 🥳 You have made me so happy, and know that every day I wake up excited for what will happen next.

That camel spin was PERFECTION I went back and watched it like 10 times and her split jump and spirals were beyond gorgeous and the filming was absolutely fantastic ❤️
Her camel spin reminded me of Yuka Sato. Leg extended above her head. Great speed and centering. PERFECT

Question: How is it that we can hear the skater's scratching sound on ice but the cameraman's skating sound is not heard?

I skate very quietly. The microphone is actually on the camera.
Seems like that was some crunchy ice that could have used resurfacing. Outdoor ice is dicey IMO.
The sound from her skates is in front of the cameraman, the sound from the cameramen’s skates is behind while s/he moves forward.

I love your skating...the awesome simple beauty of the 'glide', without the anticipatory moves for 'jumps'....yes, I'm a glide person!!! At 50 or so, earned my patch for inside and outside three-turns....I had 'arrived'....never will forget the feeling....body and spirit one. I was in another dimension when I saw this. This takes you out of the world. I attach so many memories and so many things to this song but the original version of Coldplay. And when I saw her skating to this I just frowned. It was so beautiful and emotional that it is beyond words

Your skill with skating, choreography, the camera set up, the rig, you are actually taking ice skating up a notch to another level.
Viewers can hear the wind, the ice, the blades and see up close how emotion works in the environment of the skater; they go through a lot of hard work to get this good and you show every bit of it in a seamless production. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Last time I went to Central Park, there was so much people!!!! I wasn’t allowed to skate the other direction or even spin or jump. I love this so much!!!

So gorgeous! I really appreciate the pure artistry of these pieces. I love watching competitions to, but so much focus is on points, etc, that some of the most elusive and beautifully magical movements can get lost. Awesome job capturing the essence of what is so beautiful about skating!
