People often forget , that it`s not a racing car , but a compact city SUV , so ... achieving such speeds on autobahn is rather remarkable and very respectful for such a relatively low priced vehicle. Power+torque vs price ratio is outstanding , the aggressive design, is in the eyes of the beholder , personally i like it very much. The external dimensions allow easy parking in tight spots in the city center. The inner space is medium to small , but as i already said , it`s a compact SUV , don`t expect it to be too spacious. The fuel consumption is higher ,than advertised , but depends on driving style , and technically if driving up to the limit , using ECO mode and cruise control , i even managed to achieve 11.6 km per liter in the city (!) , of course it was early in the morning , with empty roads , so at peak hours you`ll get around 5 km per liter , if not lower. Out of the city the consumption is usually around 14-15 km per liter. My total average consumption after 5000 km is 8 km per liter , with mostly inner city driving. Usually i use ECO mode, switching to SPORT rarely , only outside of the city and if there is no congestion , otherwise the vehicle feels too aggressive . My wife , for example, is simply afraid of SPORT mode , the sensitivity of acceleration pedal scares her. I think about switching over to electric version of KONA , once it will become available in our area.

Or would want to. At this speed, the car is extremely dangerous to be in. It's top heavy and narrow wheel base. Only drunk fools would want to be going that fast in a small vehicle such as this.

I drove my 2020, 1.6T, 210km/hr few times already. It behaves very well and it is very well planted, I am very surprised. So speaking from experience, yes it is very well put together, and you have to be a great driver to push it that hard, but to just test it out and see for yourself what it is capable of, without getting confused of people who say it is not capable or not able. They don't know what they are talking abt or they are not drivers or have the feel of driving.

I just bought few days ago 2020 kona, 1.6T, exact color as this(two tone), here is Canada the two tone is called the *Trend* package. Very happy with the car and my fav of most of SUVs in its category. Great to see the exact car and color being tested on your channel and on autobahn, I feel proud, lol. Great vid and great driver

@@improbro1124 it is great. Never had a problem with it, yet. Great car, almost no body roll, very well planted, one of the main reasons I bought it, sporty, has a great kick and doubleclutch is great. Was also a bit worried at first, but bought the extra warranty, 8 yrs total

speedometerrs always show more then it is real speed!! it will be better if he show speed on Navigation

@@langchauvin1121 It was in sport mode. The red accent when switched the driving mode meant sport mode (green eco, blue comfort).

I`ve traded in my 2018 1.6T 177 BHP Kona for the 2021 1.6T 198BHP model. Would be nice to see this type of drive test on the limitless portion of autobahn...Just wondering if the difference would be substantial. I`d try it myself, by the maximum allowed speed here is 130kmph(+10kmph without penalties), not enough for a top speed test...And getting my license taken from me on the spot is not worth a try ;)

Mine felt stable. I don’t think any car unless it’s a sports car. Should feel “safe” while driving at that high of speeds. One mistake and boom
