    We need as close to a traditional big as possible but that has the mobility to keep up with the modern pace. They must perform big man role in both offense (rebounding & pick n' roll), defense (rebounding & rim protection) and height. This guy not being able to muscle up puts the burden back on to AD again. Which increases the chance that AD gets hurt during the season...
    Bringing back The Carushow, The Bald Eagle, The Bald Mamba - Alex Caruso in a trade with Chicago should be our first move. Securing a D'Lo replacement that LBJ & AD trust in the PG position will save us a huge amount of chemistry building time.
    We can choose between developing Hayes & Castleton to fulfill the needs during the season or trading for a traditional C later on.
    We also need to consider Vincent, Vanderbilt and Reddish are (hopefully) getting back into form.
    We have all the pieces we need, just need consistency and stability.

    1. Trade Austin to one of the cap teams for a first rounder nothing back
    2. Dlo walks
    3. Gabe, Rui, Vando 4 first rounders for Mitchell
    4. Current players would be Lebron ,AD Mitchell , Max, JHS, Wood Hayes, Reddish and a second rounder.
    5. Lebron agrees to a 2 year 60 million: 27 first year
    6: total salary of those ( not including Max) is 118ish million
    7 cap is at 136 million
    8.Brooklyn does the pick swap deal with Houston getting all theirs back for Suns, trades Mikal and decides not to resign Claxton as to not interfere with tank for a loaded 25’ draft.
    9. Sign Claxton with remaining cap
    10. Pay Max you can excede the salary cap
    11. Starting lineup with Mitchell Max Bron AD Claxton
    12. Bench JHS Taurean mid level Wood Reddish. Chris Paul is a must,

    They will still get bullied by Jokic if this is their front court. We need a bigger center than AD.

    • @lakershow772
      @lakershow772 Před 22 dny +1

      We would have won if Rui dlo played up to par so that’s clearly not the biggest concern if u watched the series closely cause AD was holding his own mostly and we had a horrible coaching plan

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 Před 22 dny

      @@lakershow772 In last year’s conference finals, AD had a terrible series, because he had to exert tons of energy trying to defend Jokic. Towards the end of that series, they figured they would have Rui be the one to exert his energy on Jokic. So this year, every time we played Denver, Rui had to burn his energy out defending Jokic. When you have to defend someone that’s a mismatch, you will tire out fast, and it will impact your shot on offense. Lakers know this, which is why they had AD guard Jokic far less this time, which is why AD had a great offensive series compared to last year vs Denver. So Rui took one for the team. If AD had the tough assignment the majority of the game, the conversation would be why AD didn’t show up and how Rui produced well. People just think about basketball on one side of the floor, but both sides impact each other, because both use your singular pool of energy.
      D’lo didn’t have an excuse to shoot poorly. Last year he did, because he was tasked with fighting over screens without help. This time they had Austin Reeves doing that, but Reeves did better than D’lo did in terms of not letting his high effort on defense give him weak legs leading to a poor jump shot. Outside of D’lo shooting poorly in 3/5 games, he still had the highest plus/minus on the team in almost every game. This means that despite his bad shooting, he must have been doing other things really well to contribute to winning.
      I really do not like this idea that every time we lose in the playoffs, we have to blame the role players. The role players aren’t carrying us, the stars are. Yes everyone has to do their part, but stars have more responsibility, and they have to shoulder the burden. That’s the one thing I don’t like about the media around LBJ led teams. It’s never his fault, but the role players. Like are we going to talk about how every game Aaron Gordon got behind LBJ for an easy dunk, due to LBJ ball watching? What about that wide open 3 he misused in the final minutes? What about the FT, even though he’s gotten better with that.
      We wouldn’t have won unless we had a legit center who could defend Jokic to some degree. It’s because we didn’t have the personnel to defend Jokic that we had to double team, and when we didn’t double, we had Rui or Ad getting mauled by the Joker 1v1. This whole situation limited what Darvin Ham could do, because he was forced to double most of the game. So it’s ez to blame this person or that person, but most of the issues the Lakers have against Denver all stem from a size disadvantage due to personal, not simply role players. role players.

    • @CBoogie91
      @CBoogie91 Před 22 dny +1

      Not really, lakers lost cause no one outside of Bron and ad showed up, if rui or dlo did anything lakers could've beat Denver, they led almost every game

      Jokic is done his media hype is over

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 Před 22 dny

      Y'all still don't see it after all this time? Nuggets beat us playing at near half their potential. That's why they started off the T-wolves series so badly, because they had to wake up to play a real opponent, and we didn't prepare them for that. Y'all think, "if only we can do this better, and if only this player does this better," because y'all only think about the offensive side of the ball. People who understand how the defensive side of the ball impacts the offensive side of the ball will understand why certain players have shooting slumps in a particular series. LBJ and AD are given the easiest assignments on defense so that they have energy on offense so that their shooting mechanics and touch don't get affected. So when they asked Rui to be on Jokic the majority of the time, they knew it was going to hurt his scoring, but you'd rather have AD cooking and Rui struggling, than Rui cooking and AD struggling. Look at last year's conference finals...AD played like shit on offense, because he got worn out guarding Jokic. The Lakers decided that their role players were going to do the heavy lifting on defense so that the 2 stars could do more on offense. So don't go blaming the role players for not doing more on offense. This is why 2 way players are so important. Yeah the Lakers need more 2-way role players, but it doesn't help when our superstars are avoiding having to play hard both ways as well. AD is a defensive powerhouse, but because of his mismatch with Jokic, he becomes a defensive liability to the point we have to hide him from Jokic by putting Rui on him, and then forced to run double teams more than half the time. So our best defensive player becomes a non factor due to not having the personnel to deal with Jokic. LBJ, while he plays good defense in the play-offs, still takes the easiest of the forwards so that he can have more energy on offense, but with the easy assignment, still allows blown coverages for back-door dunks by Aaron Gordon. We shouldn't have had Rui trying to navigate screens chasing MPJ...it should have been LBJ.
      So was coaching bad? Sure, but because our team wasn't built to deal with Denver, the coaching staff was limited in the schemes they could run, which amplified our coaching problem.
      You know, I'm sick of the role players being thrown under the bus, because when Kobe was our star player, role players never got thrown under the bus, and it was always Kobe taking the criticism. Some times Gasol took the blame, but even he held himself accountable. LBJ doesn't hold himself accountable. It's always his supporting cast that is at fault. I love LBJ's game; he's an elite player still at his age, but I hate his leadership. You know, Murray shot terribly against us percentage wise, but in crunch time he hit his shots. LBJ shot well the whole game every game, but in crunch time he missed some wide open 3s. He's the superstar, so he needs to be one in those moments if we want to contend for a chip. No championship team wins without their stars being clutch, and having role players be clutch for them. The excuses have to stop.

    With the 17th pick look for Daron Holmes and Kel'l Ward, they are the next level iteration of Naz Reid.
    JJ Redick/ Sam Cassell are the coaches of the Lakers, they are more knowledgeable of the game than any of the current candidates that have been considered. They are your coach that will take the team far into the future as well as a minimal contract initially. They will manage the locker room along with input from veterans LeBron and AD; they are players coachs and understands the needs of there coaching staff. We need two real bigs, Valanciunas/Drumond/Dwight ( ie 2020 chip) along side AD, we need a six man, Dramond/Bobby Portes etc. We need a two way guard to manage Jamall Murry and Anthony Edwards.... Demar/Donavan/Caruso/Keli Ubrea/Marcus Smart/JaMonte Murray/Brogden/Gary Trent etc.
    We have our assets, picks, mid level exceptions, and minimum contracts.

Nah i dont want both of them and even mitchell. Murray is acceptable in a reasonable price

    Ppl say they don’t like Trae bec he doesn’t play defense. So under that same logic those same ppl shouldn’t want Lauri either right?

    Will only do this if Bron leaves. Cant have both of them, defense will be average at best despite having AD.

    If LBJ would accept during regular season being 6th man to save him for the playoffs.
    Then J Vanderbilt start at SF helps with AR avg defense as a starter
    Need a 2 way PG still as a starter.
    Is just my thoughts doubt that it would happen

    • @8red227
      @8red227 Před 23 dny +1

      Vando is always the primary option as the starter, but he is injured almost the entire season, which leads to AR playing the POA role. Lebron is not always the problem bro, is it Lebron’s fault ham played cam reddish and Prince for 30 minutes? Is it Lebron’s fault Max did not play most of the time? Is it Lebron’s fault ham keep giving players inconsistent minutes?

    • @akwesirobinson1710
      @akwesirobinson1710 Před 23 dny

      No it was ham fault he should have use the same the same line up that had them successful last year

    • @garyblubaugh2517
      @garyblubaugh2517 Před 23 dny

      @8red227 Your not reading my post just being a Lestan living in last season
      Nor did I say James was the issue, just at 40 he would be fresher in the playoffs if he was 6th man getting 24 to 28 minutes a night in the regular season.
      Which makes sense less wear and tear as well as not being fatigued and risky injury as much.
      Until Lakers get a big as backup/ part time starter as needed
      A legit 2 way SF or healthy Vando
      A replacement for Dlo as starter as he's most likely signing elsewhere
      Last that is optional is a SG that moves AR to bench
      If they can do at least 2 of these things in the off-season it would offer more balance in starters
      While also elevate the bench scoring
      2 biggest flaws of the players on the roster is weak rebounding and bench scoring consistently
      Ham was a complete hot mess last season. In 23 WC runner ups they had found a competitive starting 5
      He waits until around 45% or more of the season to use that lineup.
      He never established a consistent rotation and roles healthy or with injuries playing a part in availability
      IMO if they had a replacement in mind early in the season he should have been canned. Starting T Prince over when healthy players was a terrible choice
      Contributing to more losses than they should have had. I believe the Lakers roster injuries and all were a high 40 win team at worse.
      Better record allows 2 less games before playoffs possibly, as they ended up playing only 1.
      Denver late push for the number 1 seed then pretty much ended Lakers hopes.
      As anyone besides Dallas and Denver they most likely had a good shot at beating.
      Resolve rebounding, more athletic back court at least at 1 position for less backcourt mis matches at both spots defensively, adding more bench scoring or some starter swaps to be balanced.
      Right coach with a few key additions this team is capable of a 50 win season

    • @garyblubaugh2517
      @garyblubaugh2517 Před 23 dny

      @akwesirobinson1710 read my reply
      Ham was terrible yes, key injuries not withstanding.
      Team still was flawed in 2 areas as well
      1 lack of rebounding
      2 lack of consitant bench scoring (injuries played a role as well.
      Next coach has no control over rebounding as that's due to hustle and desire. Also athletic ability is questionable from many factors.
      If the new coach fails to give Christie less than 20 minutes of playing time if he's retained will also not be very successful as the Lakers need some youth in starters as well as bench.
      Getting old and slow is a disadvantage.
      Look at the last 4 teams in conference finals.
      2 stars
      Quality depth in the other 3 starters of being able to give more than a limited 1 way role
      Then 3 to 4 contributors off the bench in the playoffs.
      Lakers can get to this model with the right decisions from coach and moves this off-season
      D Wright, A Drummond, C Paul, T Jones are some vets to look at asset minimum guys and Jones as a FA signing
      Quality depth, rebounding, bench scoring, some youth, replacement for DLO
      Makes Lakers contender for top 4 seed if healthy
