- We recently fired up Dreamboat, our 1952 Harley-Davidson Panhead, that hasn't seen the light of day in 40+ years until we bought it a couple of months ago!
What started as an initial inspection to see what would be needed to get it started ended in actually riding it! We can't believe the shape this bike is in and how little was needed to get going again.
Watch as we work with our friends to bring her back to life at our shop in Charlotte, NC and stay tuned for more on this bike!
If you haven't watched the story of us finding and buying Dreamboat, you can click the links for chapter one and chapter two below.

To Prism Supply - Vice Grip Mechanic would be real proud of you for getting that Harley Panhead going again after sitting for 40+ years.
We need more of these long uploads! Really feels like I'm just hanging with my homies in the garage 🤙
She’s alive!!!!! Great job guys. Bless y’all for keeping this time machine going for all to enjoy.
That motorcycle is a amazing creation. A one of a kind piece of artwork. I hope nobody tampers with it.
Looks like the lead float in a gay mardi gras parade.- Take all the snot off it and it'd be a great bike.
Somebody turned a nice stock Harley into a garbage wagon.
@@browngreen933 Ever hear of customizing?
I've seen several dressed like that
You guys are fricken rad. Props to mark and his pops for taking such good care of the machine
Boy, I just don't know how you can't LOVE those old dinosaurs.
Anybody that gave this video a thumbs down has something wrong with them.
I just read about Dean pat in the latest Enthusiasts magazine from HOG. Best to hear it run. So amazing it didn't need anything to get it up and running. Good job documenting this museum piece. That would be right at home in the Wheels Through Time.
Now that's a true King of the Road predecessor to the road king
I have never in my hole life seen a bike like this…… It is like Christmas 👏🏻
When it fired up I got the biggest smile on my face. Great video!
Something of nice when you are used as a mechanic, this is real way to see the time and history. A mechanic watches around and gets piece of time like a Sherlock Homes, he knows when you lie.
Bravo. My first bike I built from paycheck to paycheck was a 1949 Pan in 1974. The first day she fired is still remembered. Respect the machine and it will respect you. It's not a hot rod, it's a cruiser. Cruise accordingly. Sounds like she is running hot, you might want to check your oil return.
You just got another big thumbs up. Thank you for sharing this with us.!
I wish you had turned on the lights. They were as outrageous as the bike itself. Just incredible.
What a beautiful sound she has what a dreamboat !!!
Love old panheads, had a 58 chopper, rode the shit out of it.
Great album. Jerry Garcia surprised me.
Enjoyed the AWAKENING experience. Like the motor running but was waiting with oily hands to see the lights come on and those outrageous horns blow an eardrum or two. JwgK
Great work, that was worth every minute. The Ol' panhead sounded good. Thanks
Followed the link via the enthusiast..... great video of bringing it back to life. Tye is smiling.
Great to see it come back to live. Well done gentlemen!
What a time capsule ! Infinitely cooler than any new bike.
That was awesome how about a follow up with lights on for full effect
You guys are A plus. Next time Im near Charlotte will look you guys up. Awesome job. Keep it up. I'm hooked.
Good job! Nothing like that first start up.
That looks so good , don't change a thing
Great to hear her running , good luck , nice ride
Amazing guys, loving your content here in Blackburn Lancashire, England. 🏴☠
Old bike comed alive....biggest taillight i ever saw 🤣🤣🤣
Now that is a proper motorcycle 👍. I wish I still had my 1950 model.
Alright! Congrats! Sounds Fantastic!
Loved it all . Really admire this bikes builder.
Cool Pan!.....I personally am a Shovelhead guy myself. (Shovel's Rule) and GO

What a bike, brilliant result.
Man that old pan was running pretty smooth at the end…to have been sitting 40 something years…. Thanks for your videos buddy…

Must have been a beautiful bike back in the day
There are a few of these styled bikes here in Milw at Harley museum.
Cool ole Pan, somebody definitely liked bling lol
Im so happy for you guys at same time very jealous. Came up in florida early 80, everybody running pans knuckles few flatheads. Then all my bro, swent back to states they came from out of friends back to Virginia only 2 guys i knew from Florida were pricks that just ones i knew im still got my 72 FLH. Gonna have to go newer soon but still love old ones just like the cars they look best. My newest truck 86 gmc im 2nd owner. Have great life peace
Makes me want to finish my '72 FLH that I tore down 2yrs ago to change the stator, and started a complete restoration.
Now that’s the coolest shit I’ve seen on motorcycles in a long time! Fantastic job fella’s.

These Are Great Bikes!!
So cool!
Been waiting!
This channel is awesome, just stumbled across. It’s my dream to be apart of a crew like this, bunch of chill, rich personality, homies! Cheers bois!
same here!
Bad to the bone panhead!. Killer bike.
Very nice! I hope oil is circulating and generator works
Great content
Awesome 👍🏻
I want that rolling museum
Any copper washers that you pulled off of that Linkert should have been heated up until they were red-hot, then dipped in water to anneal them, that way they'll have a better seal when you reassemble the carb......
greatest bike I’ve seen on the internet in…forever! I love this machine. I would go nuts finding something like this. Is it available for procurement by chance?
What I learned from the old timer that taught me about old cars and Harleys. Let old seized up carbs soak in mineral spirits over night. It makes em easier to take apart. Lessens the chance of breaking sh!t during teardown.
Awesome….!!!
Good Stuff ♥
now THATS a big seat haha .. karb 100 % been cleaned before put away due to the dropping rod at the clutch
Great bike and great find! good job getting it going. Can you please explain the trick(s) to get it to fire? @24:46 you were kicking it without so much as a cough from the engine. Then @ 25:38 the engine showed its first sign of life. Was it just a million kicks or was there something else that got it going? Thanks for the video!
Dean being a proper English gentleman calling everyone by their full names is perfect
Great job! Nice roomy shop. Are you planning to restore the Dreamboat completely?
I am from Brasil beautiful works
I from Iraq 🇮🇶 really good job 👍
dreamboat runs thats cool the original owner bolted on everything he could find restore what a nice bike send it to wheels of time
Wish I could be around in 60yrs to see a Street Glide being started......
😂
It takes a good while when you don't know the cold start sequence.
You got that right and that is what I was thinking , some one should tell them
In later models, they added a pajalterator after the chingaderos and the ammifery tube but before the slider and the backsledge. I'm not sure why.
You guys do really nice work!! Just curious, did you clean out the gas tank? If so, what is your procedure for doing it, do you use a sealant afterwards? Coat with a oil or fogging oil? I'm going through a old shovelhead that has been sitting for over 30 years.
This bike must be in a museum !
listening to the band - the weight and working in a 52' harley with you're buddies. Can i come sweep you're floor for free
Did you buy that off the Adams Family? What an amazing machine!
If I were that bike, I'd be pissed that you brought me back to life.
Nice
Pretty bad ass
Excelente saludos desde colombia
sounds good a little tuning it be god runner
Great find! But i think it needs a few more accessories!!
Now that's a scooter.
I love my panhead
Go For A Ride!!
Yep, starts like a Harley alright.
These guys are definitely G.B.A. members
Thats the quietest pan head I have ever heard, usually pans have a very noisy cam chest area
Wonder what weight oil you used ??? Seems to me they used a heavy weight almost like gear lube .
“This is the chingonderas”
Does a Harley have separate transmission oil too ?
Mantap sekali bos,
Very Good
