    You resurrected a dead painting.
    WOW!!! It's beautiful. You taught me a great lesson in this tutorial.
    I use my artisto paper all the time, so I know what you mean. It's much harder to work with than my cotton paper.
    Thank you for the effort you put into the painting to save it and humbley taking us along through the process of saving the painting.
    It was like watching a surgeon save a life.🩵💙💛🖌🎨xxx

      Yes, non cotton paper definitely has challenges but my Artisto sketchbook is one of the better ones for practice 👍

    How about a little yellow, here and there on the leaves, maybe even a little dark pink. Love what you've done to spruce up the flowers!!

      Yes, you are definitely right! More variation in the leaves would have been a huge improvement!!

    What about a brown centre. The blue would really stand out and look fragile! Just a thought plus they’re a good colour combination 🤙🏼

    Liked the depth and more leaves. My problem is exactly what the first version was. Maybe this could resurrect some of mine.

    Can you please explain what glazing and granulation means? Thank you 😊

    • @ErinEnoArt
      @ErinEnoArt  Před rokem +1

      Although I don’t go into granulation here, I did purchase granulating paints so you will see them in an upcoming video. Simply put, granulating paints have pigments with larger particles that separate from finer ones and sit on the paper giving a textured appearance.
      Glazing is just layering colour over another colour once it’s dry. You can layer the same colour or a different one. Layering a blue over a pink/red will give you a purple. I hope that helps😊

    Erin I was wondering do you mat and frame your paintings .. I would like to mat some of mine but don’t know where to buy mats at a reasonable price. Michaels do beautiful matting but a little pricey for my artwork at this time.

    • @ErinEnoArt
      @ErinEnoArt  Před rokem +1

      Hi Patti, I’m bad and haven’t actually framed a lot of my own pieces but the ones I have are just in standard frames with mats included because it is so expensive to buy custom matting and framing. Walmart has some nice frames and Michaels too if you wait for their sales! 👍

    • @patti3447
      @patti3447 Před rokem +2

      @@ErinEnoArt reply thank you Erin I will check Walmart out .. there is a little gift shop that has offered to buy my paintings which I’ve made into cards, but I have others that want the blueberry painting framed.

    • @ErinEnoArt
      @ErinEnoArt  Před rokem +1

      Oh that’s wonderful! Congratulations!! I just buy the simple black frames with white mats and I try keep the standard sizes in mind when I do a painting so you can avoid having to buy custom sizes 😊 White frames are nice too👍

    I honestly think it wasn’t complete to begin with.
    I’d love to see an early example that was complete, and needed improvement.

    • @ErinEnoArt
      @ErinEnoArt  Před rokem

      No it wasn’t complete; I abandoned it it because it so wasn’t what I envisioned. The next day I wanted to see if I could save it regardless. Just an exercise in not giving up!👍😊 Trying it on a finished painting is a good idea, I may try that one day too. I think I have an old landscape that needs some TLC🥰

  • @user-vx6mi3oy7g

    Why aren't you happy with the painting. It just looks like it needs some finishing touches 😊

    • @ErinEnoArt
      @ErinEnoArt  Před rokem +1

      Oh it wasn’t what I envisioned at all!😂 I wanted light and fluffy flowers and all on one stem, and the leaves were kind of flat and boring, they had no life. But, I wanted to see if I could save it👍
