    For problem #12: I think the problem should be e to the positive x to solve it like you do

      Then minus 6 times e to the negative x then minus 1=0

      @@xs-2004 Hi Xinna -- When you factor out a GCF you always take out the smallest exponent, in this case -x is smaller than positive x which is why e^-x gets factored out first leaving you with... e^-x(e^2x-e^x-6)=0... Upon further factoring you end up with e^-x(e^x-3)(e^x+2)=0... If you would like to double check the factoring is correct, you can always re-multipy everything to get back to where you started :)
