Thanks, Jeremy and Jillian! To introduce the group: Peter Barber (first soloist-white shirt) is a 30-year-old professional opera singer currently located in Phoenix, a CZcams reactor and podcast host, and the arranger of this one. Bobby Waters, (brown shirt, aka BobbyBass) is a 25-year-old from the Boston area who became recognized worldwide with The Wellermen doing sea shanties. Tomi P (dark shirt with fur) is also 25 and is in the Czech Republic where he makes lots of music. Marwan Ayman (white shirt with fur) is a freshly turned 20-year old in Egypt and the editor of this video. Ekaterina, from what I’ve read, won an equivalent of Americas Got Talent, but I can’t remember where. She and Peter are online friends.
I hoped y’all would get goosebumps from this! I have played it over and over. As for the next one from the Bass Gang, I would suggest any of the songs from their most recent Disney EP- Arabian Nights (features Marwan), Be Prepared (featuring Tomi), Gaston (featuring Peter), or Friend Like Me (featuring Bobby). The singer who is featured in each arranged their respective performances. They were all going to travel to the Czech Republic and meet each other for the first time and record together, but Marwan’s visa was denied, so it was just the other three. Their “manager” and all around branding, costuming, etc. person is Casper Fox who filled in physically for Marwan on two of the videos. He is a great vocalist himself.

This is great. Their version of Jolly Sailor Bold is the creepiest sea shanty video ever - fabulous. You would probably find Peter's reaction video to this interesting as he discusses what they were doing vocally and technically.
I'll second Carol's suggestion on the latest EP. Arabian Nights is my favorite. I love Marwan's arrangements. He has some solo stuff on his own that's pretty amazing too. Black or White with Manav Sharma is excellent. He also did This is Halloween in 30 styles which is just ridiculous. He had over 500 vocal tracks on that one.
You need to give a shout-out to Peter Barber (in this group). He has a reaction/analysis channel too. He could probably answer your questions about what they did in production. I love anything The Bass Gang does! This is definitely one of the best, if not the best so far, in my opinion. I would recommend Arabian Nights, which is my favorite from the Disney collection and I think you and Jillian would really enjoy Centuries, featuring Jonathan Young. Both were arranged by Marwan Ayman. Seeing how talented he is now, I can't wait to see what he is able to do as his voice continues to mature and he further explores the arranging and production side of crafting music.
Peter calls this one his baby and I think you can easily see why he is so proud of it. Wow!!! They did such a great job with this. Ekaterina seems to be singing like a Valkyrie while they are singing as Vikings. Incredible!

Derailment is fun so long as you get back on track, which you did. So it's all good! If you don't mind a run of four (maybe across four weeks?), May The Bass Be With You vol 3 is worth it: the songs in order are Arabian Nights / Be Prepared / Gaston / Friend Like Me. My favourite is _Gaston_ but they are all good and there's a throughline in the videos, so worth doing in order. Enjoy!

There were, at one point, 150 tracks in the master when Peter sent it out to the mixer. 200 at the peak, if i remember correctly. Peter Barber shared some of his processes in his reaction to the final video.
I do remember Peter saying that the number of people in the video didn't even come close to the actual number of tracks.

I don't remember the exact number, but there definitely were MANY layers in the vocals on this. Significantly more than they showed on screen.
The Bass Gang has come a long way and this is their best so far. Truly great arrangement by Peter and the harmonies! Ekaterina adds that ethereal quality that raises the hair on your neck.
