I agree, the way he talked grated on me. I understand that's his kind of style in his videos and it works but in an actual conversation with other people it doesnt come across well. Compare him to Mark who sits there calmly and puts his points across without any arrogance of thinking "I'm right and you're wrong". Ik it's not that deep and hes still a decent lad, just lacks some self awareness

Thogden does my head in. Can tell he’s the kind of lad that talks the talk with football but never played among a half decent player or team in his life. Sometimes you need to know the game well yourself to have well justified opinions, he just screams and shouts like a typical kid over a fifa game.
His take on "tactics" being the issue at untied was embarrassing. No tactics in the world can save you when your midfield 2 are constantly out of position, refuse to take the ball off the back four, have the touches of donkeys and struggle to consistently pass. We basically play without a midfield at times they're so poor and he's screaming "tactics" like any basic troll

That "headless chicken" shout from Thogden is laughably bad. Pretty much every one of Nunez's runs resulted in him having the ball and being right in the thick of it.
Say what you want about his first touch, but his off the ball movement is class. He'll score over a dozen scrappy goals just like the ones he's scored against City and Fulham as a result of it.
'Uruguayan Lukaku' is a bit of waffle. Nunez already shown he works harder off the ball then that Belgian fella.

His off the ball movement has so far been quite insane (I am including pre seasons). A constant threat. They way he created chance after chance while Firmino, who I adore, didn't create a single oppurtunity, the game changed massivly when Nunez was brought on. If you wanna learn how to move as a striker watch Darwin Nunez. As Mark Goldbridge said it doesn't matter if the likes of Haaland and Nunez misses a couple of chances, cause they'll have enough chances to at least score one goal.

You can tell Thogden is that kind of dude that watches every show and reads every article about a soccer subject and grabs 3 or 4 quality lines or stats or whatever from all that media. Then he casually throws them out in discussions like these or with his friends as if they came out of his dogged studying of the game LOL....EDIT: Watched it all and Thogden just may be the most annoying person in human history. He's the epitome of having a "punchable face." He does his best impression of what he thinks a young, cool pundit should be; he doesn't just calm the hell down and have a back and forth....

loved this episode, listened to it as a podcast on Spotify, but would recommend getting mics in for each presenter as the sound quality really drops using this current mic setup
They're wearing a mic each on them, it's just that the guy in the Bournemouth shirt's mic keep peaking and sounds terrible, really amateur mistake of the production not to notice / fix within minutes of starting.

Hard to believe any team, in any professional sport, can succeed… when their fan base and often even the management, go into a sheer panic after easy loss. It’s one game, yet rivers and seas are boiling , end of the world stuff, dogs and cats sleeping together, mass hysteria seems to be the normal reaction from any of the big 6-7 PL teams when they drop one. I honestly don’t know how any losing streak is ever turned around with that sort of toxic, cynical atmosphere. I guess the endless purchases of more and more players just covers it all up somehow, I dunno. Bringing in so much talent you can still win the majority of your games even with a mediocre collective team spirit .
