- Bryher is one of the five inhabited islands on the Isles of Scilly. Even though it is one of the smallest islands, it looks like all of the islands put together with beaches towards the bottom end and moorland towards the top end. The name 'Bryher' comes from the Cornish word 'Breyer' which means 'Place of hills' which is true because Bryher is made up of many hills, with Watch Hill being the highest. The main settlement on Bryher is 'The Town' which is a small village under Watch Hill with no more than a shop and a few cafe's. There is also a church on Bryher, but this is a bit of a way out of the village. A hotel, the Hell Bay Hotel, is also on the island but this too is a bit of a way outside of the village.
Places used in this video are:
Samson Hill, Green Bay, Church Quay, Watch Hill, All Saint's Church, Timmy's Hill, The Town, Hell Bay Hotel, Anneka's Quay, Hell Bay, Fraggle Rock and Gweal Hill - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Bryher is my favourite place in the whole world! It’s my idea of heaven. I love all the islands, but Bryher is where we stay most years.
Beautiful island, this island and St Mary's are my favourite islands
A very rugged, beautiful and magical place
Very nice footage again my freind thanks for sharing
The church looks like it has an active community there and is in really good condition.
I went again to Tresco & Bryher last year and boy what a shock! Greed has spoilt these two islands with excessive building and the £ being all important and losing all sight of the value of what made these islands so wonderful. Never again.
