A very long time ago I was playing matchmaking in Halo 3 and the match lagged out to the point where my legs were dead on the ground, but I still could shoot and look around. It was like I was paralyzed from the waist down. Also all the players disappeared. This was back in the days of the gravity hammer and sword launching players across the map when they died. Good times
I also had the same thing happen another time except I could move this time and I was all alone on the map until the match ended. Normally when everyone lagged out I think it automatically ended the game, but I could be remembering that wrong and what I experienced happened everytime when the whole match lagged out.

Here’s a glitch: on the level ark when you fight the first scarab, if you hurry up fast and jump on the tree then onto the scareb make sure to grab onto a turret but don’t break it.( from some reason if your on covenant turrets on any map you could clip out maps which is weird) but stay on until it stops moving and you will be out of map. You can explore for a bit then destroy the scareb. Just start playing normally. Once the scareb starts coming you’ll see it come if with two legs. The scareb moves for a bit but then freezes and you cant finish level but you can do it I guess...
The one where you kill the pelican pilot is really hard, you can also do that on Crow's nest when the pelican picks up the Marines after clearing the hanger, not the one after the elevator, but the one before you go and kill the drones. It took me 40 minutes to do it, just painstakingly reverting and all
Maybe you guys just never read the guides carefully? I remember being able to do the glitch first time. Never really had a struggle with it. Crouch, and hold reload where it doesn't show a prompt for boarding, then kill the guy. Same glitch works in odst to get banshees/wraiths when you're not supposed to

The fact that I know most of these fun glitches from Halo 3 just goes to show how much it's my most favorite game when my parents got me my xbox 360 elite, that I still have to this day :) And one way I found out to really stretch out your playermodel is to jump on a scarab's leg when it's down. The moment it comes back up and moves it's legs it launches you right into the skybox (most of the time) I did this on The Storm mission
For the stretch glitch, it works really well if you go on sandtrap/sandbox and go as high as you can in forge mode, spawn a tank above you, and turn back to human and usually you will get flung when you get splattered.
3:50 You can also do it to one of the Phantoms in Crow's Nest, though this time you can flip it. Be careful, you'll splatter yourself if you do it too much.

The glitch from 4:00 is actually way more powerful than you might think. On larger maps such as Sandtrap or Avalanche (I've had the best results on Avalanche) doing this with a rocket launcher results in one of two things. The first is the rocket will appear behind you when you fire, as if it were fired from someone 20 feet above and behind you. The second is far more interesting. It will simply instantly arrive at wherever you're aiming, regardless of distance. You will also instantly pick up any rocket ammo within a very large radius of you. However, the neatest in my opinion is the hammer. Using it after your arms are ripped off by the glitch will generate a flash of light that can be seen by all people on the map, and all people and vehicles will take a melee hit worth of damage. This can be used to kill anyone in just two swings, even if they're across the map, even if they're in forge mode. It's seriously ridiculous.
If you watch the arms disappear frame by frame in theater you can see they do some even wonkier stuff. Just before disappearing they grow to the size of an elephant, and then go to another dimension following a bright white flash

So, in the weird contortion stretch glitch, I had figured out a way to replicate with ease, what is referred to simply as a 'dead body tornado'. I think for best results, you would need to be online, so do a private party, but if you know what you're doing and pull it off, your dead spartan will start to flip out & freak out, contorting & stretching in very weird ways perpetually until it despawns.
I know im real late on this, but on the mission crow's nest, if you kill all the marines at the start and sgt johnson didnt pick up a weapon, he'll run up to you and try and do the punching melee attack on you. It's kinda hilarious and half looks like he's really really trying to hug you. Just make sure he doesnt get a battle rifle. The one time my brother and I did this like a decade ago, when he got his hands on a battle rifle, he one shot both of us.
Fun tip, if you have a modded controller with rapid fire on (if possible change the settings of the fire rate for best result) you can rapidly shoot the Two dual-barreled Fuel Rod Cannons making it extremely deadly and OP
There's a bug on floodgate that I found on xbox 360 halo 3 that I don't know if it still works and never seen anyone make a video about: when you get to the part in the level where there is a flame thrower on the one catwalk, you need to kill the arbiter with it and any marines that are still alive will start teabagging the ground for like 30 seconds. (Best to try it on easy difficulty so they actually live to that point)
Bungie most likely cut the drivable AA wraith because it would be hella OP. You can fire those cannons for infinity with no cooldown, and they deal the same damage as fuel rod shots. It's a good thing the brutes that drove them only pointed them at the skies, not even a scorpion could survive such sustained fire.
Halo 2 next! Rocket-Sword launch before they patched it, butterfly sword glitch to get on top of Headlong, and who could forget super-bounces?! Halo 3 is my favorite game of the franchise but Halo 2 takes the cake when it comes to glitches!

If you want the craziest results of the ragdoll stretching, drop a wraith on your character in Forge. The amount of stretching those models can do is insane.
