we recently got a new addition to our family and now im a mom of 2 hahah
i've been wanting to get polo a friend for a while now and we finally decided it was time cus he seemed to be so lonely all the time
at first, i was worried cus polo seemed to not like him at all but now they're besties and it's the cutest thing in the world.. i cry everytime i see them cuddling

head bump = you are part of my family, kneading the other cat= they see them as a parent figure (might even try to get some milk, like mine did 😂), grooming each other = trust, respect and just helping each other clean the hard spots, closeness, you are part of my family.
I am very happy that Marco and Polo are getting along better now. I can imagine how exhausting it was at the beginning. You really are a great team 🥹🫶🏻
It creates such a relief when the new kitty is accepted by the one(s) that's already there.
I had three already, and adopted a newborn kitten...and they all love one another. The newborn is now 14 weeks old, and he's such a tough kitty to survive being abandoned, his name is 'Rocky'.
If I could give any advice it would be that in the future go to your vet for your flea medicine especially with a kitten. And don’t ever get a generic especially Walmart brand because they have had recalls and been link to deaths. Cat’s are very sensitive to flea medicines and they can have really bad reactions. Over the counter meds can work just fine and there are some good brands out there, your vet may recommend one but In my many, many years of experience it’s not worth chancing and I feel the prescription works the best/longest. Again super important to consult a vet first with a young kitten. Congratulations on your new ginger baby. They are both adorable! 😽

Awww they’re so cute together! For fleas, using dawn soap as shampoo actually helps get a lot of fleas out!

marco is so cute!! 🥰 fwiw, in case y’all ever have to deal with fleas again: dawn dish soap (either the original or free&clear scents) are great for taking care of fleas and safe to use on dogs or cats! just make sure you work in a line of soap around their necks before you wet them down so that the fleas can’t migrate to their faces or ears when you start washing them! (i’m a professional pet groomer and i’ve also used this on my own pets in the past in a pinch ❤)

I’ve seen some cat rescue videos before this, so I had concerns about bringing an outdoor rescue immediately into a home and introducing it to a house cat.
Fleas, parasites, and diseases like FIV are the main reasons why you should quarantine a rescue until they’ve been properly vetted and checked.
Marco is so cute! I love the white spot on his nose. Great job of adopting him, caring for him, and gradually introducing him to Polo.

I don't reccomend showering little kittens because water preasure is to high and marco is way to younge and light which can impact the back of marco when hes older! i reccomend using cat wipes, or a comb and make sure to trim her/him alot because since marco is a ginger which means fleas will def come on cause they like brighter colours! dont shower marco untill hes around 6 monthd or older!

You are lucky they get along that well. because you are not supposed to let them see and smell each other right away. i recommend future cat owners, that are gonna introduce a new cat to the resident cat, to use jackson galaxy`s method. also, my newly adopted kitten is born April 14th as well! he is a boy 💙 i was lucky as well, because they got along after 4 days and groomed and played with each other 😭🥺❤

MARCO AND POLO OH MY GOSH!! Those are the names of my characters in my novel, so cute!!
I had the same problem when I got my cat, Reggie a baby brother last year! Reilly, the kitten, was infested with fleas when I brought him home and of course they spread to Reggie, who's never had fleas in his life (thank God). I tried using Frontline on both of them but it didn't work. My co worker told me that Frontline was actually recalled because whatever they use in it, the fleas have adapted to, so therefore it will not be effective to cats or dogs until they make a new formula that the fleas aren't used to. I tried bathing Reilly with dawn dish soap and that only worked temporarily. I asked my mom what she uses on her cats and she recommended to me PuppyButts Quick Caps that you use daily until the fleas are gone, and their monthly 2-1 capsules that you use monthly for maintenance. After I used the daily quick caps in their food for a week both of their fleas were gone and I actually haven't had to use either capsules since! They are nice to keep on had in case somehow they catch fleas again. You can use the capsules on cats 6 weeks and up weighing 2+ lbs. I hope this helps and congratulations on your new family member! AWWW 😍😍 They're SO CUTE. A life hack for cutting your cat's nails is to hold the nail cutter parallel to the nail so that the kitten claw's nail layers don't break down when you cut!!! 💗💗

FYI.. I go the really high tech whisker robot cat box… it’s a total game changer. You never touch the litter,you simply pull drawer out and change bag twice a week or more depending on how many cats. You will NEVER SMELL cat mess. Trust me they will become besties. Let them figure out each other. They will cuddle, will fight but will be beasties.

At one time I had four cats and one dog. That was my limit I think. You were right Polo was so happy to have a buddy. When you are waiting for them to get along it seems so long. It seems both cats have become part of a very happy love filled home. These kitties have very good health care plan with you. Thats as it should be. Really well done kitty care and great video. Bad luck with the fleas. But you lucky you got hard floors. If it gets out of control especially if you have fitted carpet best to just call pest control and get place sprayed couple of times. Works a treat I had to do it once with a house cat. A human brought them into her 😮 and I learnt on my Birthday plus she was a Persian so a nightmare sorting out problem but after few weeks was sorted.

Frontline Spot on or Frontline Combo are apparently of no use anymore as there are a lot of fleas that have developed resistance against it!!! It's been reported that the effectiveness of these products has decreased, so please try to find other products to use monthly on your sweetest pair of cats
