Lowry is very underappreciated outside of the Raptors fanbase unfortunately. But the true Raptors fans know how great he was and he always gave his 110%.
Yeah i went to watch the heat down in miami and all i hear are fans shit talking him when he was on the floor. Booing when he was subbed back in, etc. I was also wearing a lowry jersey too LOL!
You can tell why his players love him. Nurse came up with the box and one idea but gave the credit to kyle. This was a good episode.
Glad Draymond, Nick and I agree. Kyle Lowry is the greatest Raptor of All Time. Vince Carter is the most Iconic, DeMar DeRozan is the Most Beloved. Kawhi Leonard was the most Valuable to wear a Raptors uniform. Lowry fits in all three of those categories. Just like how unquestioned Shaq is the Most Dominant Player of all time.

@@Big_talks. Can't be the greatest in just one season. He's the best player, talent wise, to ever play for the Raptors but greatness has to be sustained over more than just one season.. Lowry did that taking a lottery team on the verge of blowing it up to a team that was consistently a playoff team in the conference which led them to making a swing for Kawhi

Lowry is the guy we truly haven’t been able to replace. Scottie hopefully will grow into that role but even when we had Kawhi, and especially after, Lowry was that guy who wanted the ball in big moments, could always make a play, and always gave you a chance to win. FVV was great but never truly filled the void. Lowry is the kind of leader every team needs to succeed.
Couldnt agree more only raptor fans understand what makes lowry so great, mainly because we are the only ones that got to see him in his prime, unlike heat and 76er fans that only saw old Kyle

As someone who grew up in the Carter area . It is Lowry , Carter comes close just the fact on what he did for basketball and the player he was . But at the end winning matters and Lowry had the most successful run and spoiled us rap fans for a long time ending in a ring

He is 100%. Greatest does not mean the best player/talent who played there, that’s Vince with Kawhi as a close second and then Demar. Kyle however had the greatest raps career, true leader, embodied the franchise

@@krbourne despite the bad end to his time here most would have said Carter or Derozan (for his sheer loyalty) but after the title and Kyle’s hockey style of ball plus length of service only fan boys would say Carter. Athletically? skill wise? Carter is there also Kyle earned the love of Raptor fans.
Captain Lowry. He chose to come and stay. His jersey needs to be in rafters before anyone and NOT Vince at all as he left and beat us with Jersey.
Vince is the most influential, without him there may not be a Raptors franchise. Lowry is the best player of all time.

The Raptors have had at least 5 better talents than Lowry over their history but nobody has contributed more to the franchise aside from him. The only other one that comes close is vince imo.

Following the championship run the Raptors took Celtics to game 7 without Kawhi. If Kawhi would have stayed they would have gone to the finals again. This will go down as one of the worst moves ever by a superstar.
I'm fully convinced that we go back-to-back if kawhi stayed. There's no fucking way anyone beats us in the bubble. As a side note, our medical staff kept kawhi's ass healthy enough to play.

Toronto is a significantly bigger market with much bigger ties to major corporations. Toronto is, and was at the time, the financial capital of the country. Attendance was growing year over year, before Vince got there. Did Vince have an impact? Undeniably he had a big impact. Would the team have been forced to move to the US if not for Vince? No, because we always had the market to support the franchise.

The reason they didn't win was because DeMar wasn't good enough. They didn't just lose to LeBron, even against other teams DeMar just wasn't good enough but the team was able to do just enough to win.
