These games are so much more relatable than those road to ssl series. There's a reason people complain about these games feeling impossible. You can't compare two randoms making mistakes to a smurf that has perfect game sense and shot accuracy to punish every mistake. I hope to see more videos and more series that are like this. Good job staying ahead of the curve.

Another little note that might help with kickoffs if you're trying to win: just making contact with the center of the ball on the initial hit isn't enough. As the opponent approaches the ball at an angle, you want to be side-flipping in the direction the ball will be pinched to so that your nose is in contact with the ball for even longer. So if your opponent is on the left side of the field and the ball is pinching right, you should be side flipping right on contact so that when the ball pinches, you're still making contact with it for longer which has the benefit of 1) you're more likely to win the kickoff, and 2) you're positioning yourself to follow it up faster and win the mid boost as well.
Ngl very happy you brought up the fact you need to boom the ball for your tm8 sometimes. C3-GC get past c2 by learning control, then they just think it's all that matters and do exactly what you said and try to catch it at every single play.

Tena, the example shown in the first clip aptly depicts the common struggle many face with teammates in solo queuing. Teammates consistently leave matches within 2 minutes in these ranks; platinum, diamond and champion

One thing I noticed is, that when you are rotating and your mate is attacking, you dont always need to go for your corner boost, if he is already on their side. Make a quick turn to the mid boost to assist your mate and to keep the pressure high. Dont get to much distance between you and your mate. Veeeery situational as always xD

what i saw on Gregs speed flip is the same thing that use to screw me over long ago and that was that I didn't hold the cancel long enough then the nose flicks over

on kick offs i find saving my dodge to use after the opponent makes contact gets me 99 percent of kick off in my favour
quick tip that no one noticed on his kickoff if u look at the end before he flips into it he powerslides thats probs why it aint the best but i recon he will get gc someday keep up the grind brothers

I can’t help but wonder if you could do a higher ranked player, such as a high gc1 or low gc2 could get coached to gc3. I say this as they could probably learn faster. I’d be down lol

I was in c2 at a point but I am nearly in d2 because teammates that just blame me/ ff at the start of the match and abandon. Like the teammates Greg got in this video.

Ranked is just harder now. People are lower than they should be and champ is infested with Gcs. I finally hit it this season my first season on pc like 3 different times and I’m missing 3 games for rewards but I’m stuck in mid c3 now because a lot of teammates just don’t have very good gamesense
This is hardest when you play in gc and he chase ball, or in 3s where you have 2gc and your teammate is on champ and complaining you don"t rotate :D Just stay behind middle line, when you'r teammate is rotating 3rd man go. Ez, learn to play without ball cam too
The first game is what happens to me in diamond 2 and diamond 3 games all the time

It's pretty common in every rank I get that all the time in plat that's the pain of having do play with randoms

My only problem with speed flipping is when the opponent doesn’t speed flip, then I hit it into them and it just bounces into my net

Bro 2:32 was the fault of both players (ignoring the ragequit of the teammate afterwards).
You already see your teammate messing up, still push up and then are indecisive how to challenge even tho you keep pushing up.

Play faster by not hesitating. Get in or get out fully, no halfsies. Move a bit closer when your team has possession - D3s always hold back and hope their teammate will 1v2. Learn to play with low/no boost. Those big boosts are not as helpful to your game as you think they are. Pick up small pads instead and stay in the play. Practice shooting and recoveries for 5-10 minutes before getting into ranked. Instead of blaming teammates, think about what you could have done to make the play easier for them.
Stop giving away possession to your opponents. Think about where you're sending the ball and look where you're sending it. Don't center the ball just so the opponents can take it - aim the ball to a specific spot or teammate. Consider it not their fault for not being there even though you should consider it your fault if you're not there when on the receiving end.
Mostly the not hesitating though. Stop camping net.

@@Novus_dva Getting C1 regularly means you don't just have some wins against C1s. It means you can even view them as inferior half the time and that you can beat C2s somewhat regularly or even C3s occasionally with a decent teammate you work well with.
Mechs probably aren't holding you down. My one GC friend has mechs like a Diamond. They could even hold you back if you go for the more complicated stuff rather than the boring but correct plays.
Usually the thing holding people back is not making it easy for their teammates. That's terribly generic of a statement and probably not useful, but it's about as true as can be without seeing gameplay.
