This is a medley of every* battle theme in the mainline Pokémon games, gen 1 through gen 9, excluding Legends Arceus. It somehow worked out that there were exactly 151 songs for me to remix. Neat!
*More or less. As always, I'm liable to forget one or two. But hopefully this list was thorough. I excluded a couple songs that were too similar to other songs and felt redundant. - Hry

RE: Pokemon Legends Arceus and some other non-included games, this medley started a lot smaller than it actually was, with just the original entries of each gen, but was then expanded to include the remakes, definitive versions, sequels, and DLC of those games. PL:A just never made the cut. So, as great as that game is, I hope you don't mind its exclusion too much!
Fred, your music is horridly underrated, I feel your actually on par with some of my favorite music creator/remixers. Well done.

Pizza Tower music would be interesting.... except it only has 7 boss themes. Bruh.
Legends actually doesn't have any original battle themes as far as I'm aware? It's all remixes of DPPt stuff. So its exclusion here makes a lot of sense.

IKR. ME TOO. The moment he did Victory is right before your eyes I knew it meant the final stretch and was hyped af. Then he did the champions in order! Wow. He ended on 151 too. Just like in the OG games. 151 Pokémon.
He also started in ascending order, so it was a nice contrast!

I cannot get over how clever this mix is! Starting by counting up through the generations of wild Pokemon music and ending by counting down with the champion themes… absolutely stellar!
I just realized. There's 151 tracks in this compilation. Much like the original 151 Pokemon of the Kanto Pokedex. Fitting!

Tbh there isn't much to not like in Pokemon music
I love how this medley starts with a count-up of the Wild Battle themes and ends with the countdown of the Champion themes
14:22 the transition from deoxys to regis was super smooth
Even from ultra necrozma and Calyrex to the regis, that whole section goes hard
I never realized how seem less both of their themes could blend together. VERY SMART, VERY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That part where it goes from the Paldea gym theme to the Galar gym theme hits so hard.

The transition from Archie and Maxie’s theme to nemona’s final battle starting at 25:33 gave me goosebumps!

Hearing all these old and new songs blended together so seamlessly, and each one still being recognizable, has me feeling a very specific brand of nostalgia, and by the end I actually had chills, good job! (Although, did I miss the Ghetsis theme? I don't remember hearing it.)

This video made me realize just how many battle themes the last few generations have had. By my count, this medley has...
- 4 themes from Gen I
- 9 themes from Gen II
- 12 themes from Gen III (10 from RS, 1 from FRLG, 1 from Emerald)
- 15 themes from Gen IV (11 from DP, 2 from Platinum, 2 from HGSS)
- 19 themes from Gen V (13 from BW, 6 from B2W2)
- 12 themes from Gen VI (10 from XY, 2 from ORAS)
- 22 themes from Gen VII (18 from SM, 4 from USUM)
- 32 themes from Gen VIII (22 from base SwSh, 9 from SwSh DLC, 1 from BDSP)
- 26 themes from Gen IX
More than half of the songs in this video come from just the last three generations. That's crazy!
A lot of it comes down to how limited the storage space was in the old games. Having to fit everything onto a single GameBoy cartridge could not have been easy. With the expanded space the later generations had on larger cartridges, and also with more games per generation, it was a lot easier to add themes for special battles, enemy teams, rivals, Legendaries, and so on.

@@griffinives866 To be fair, all of the battle themes in Legends are remixes of songs from DPPt. That's probably why they weren't included in the medley.

I noticed that, with all of the battle music using the same soundfonts here, some of the later generations' music (which are all funky or techno or luau, etc) actually sound more like the traditional battle music from the 2D games!
The segment with Wally’s theme and Team Star Boss got me feeling good, ditto with Koraidon/Miraidon down. I also love how there's exactly 151 songs in this medley! Great job!

I SCREAMED when I saw this in my recommended! I listen to your Paper Mario Medley at least one a week, and this one is up there! It's technically not EVERY battle theme (Orre, anyone?) but it's pretty damn close. Maybe the battle themes from the spin-offs could be a future project?
