One trick I've done in my Ottoman games is that if you become a great power before your first Egypt war, you'll have enough maneuvers to take back all your states in a single war

A tip for everyone. You can actually get corn laws as Ottomans. Export all your grain even with negative bureaucracy and trade deficit. Set your grain export focus and change your grain farms to fruit focus that should suffice %25 grain price. Don’t forget to study romanticism for changing to agrarianism. The rest is easy. You can thank me later

@@Andaraxigives you an agitator for the landowners that is in favour of really good laws like free trade (normally landowners hate them and you need to wait ages until you get lucky with a movement or revolution)

@@Destragond Yes and you can get it on most nations afaik. You can just mass export grain to trigger it (even if you're exporting at a loss)
@@Destragond you still do, idk what changes they made but I just did it as Japan. If they nerfed it they likely just made it more difficult to get or something.

Victoria 3 is my favourite game to see you play, this new dlc has been amazing to play myself too. The AI keeps making actually good decisions when it comes to powerblocks, but honestly the new view lenses have been my favourite addition love looking at GDP ownership

I think the laws in the ottomans empire should be updated. The ottomans did not discriminate other religions and cultures (mostly), which in vic3 it does. The ottomans did not have land bound peasants, but more of a system like tenant farmers. It did also have a proffesional army.
35:10 the 100% success chance measurement factored in all the bonuses you got for passing Charity Hospitals. Since you were no longer passing Charity Hospitals, you lost those modifiers, so it went down to 37%.

Though i never played Vicky 3, i sometimes watch a let'splay or a guide. It looks interesting, like EU4, but with a focus on internal stability and development rather than map painting.

After 1.7 patch its impossible to play with Ottomans but before thatI used to finish 4 tanzimats around 1850s.
1- Start civil war and crush land owners, then you will get bureaucracy reforms fast.
2- Be in top level countries(dont know what you call it), like 7th,then you will get around 100 manevour, this will get you all the provinces you need for first egypt tanzimat. ( try to be friends with russians from day 1)
3- If you want to wait until "no rebellion " bar to fill,u can wait and get 4th, if not try to get other egypt cities as you did in number 2
4- Leave army modernisation until last moment, because its expensive, when you have other 3, upgrade your army.
Ive never achived urbanisation and education thing.
Tech rushing really seems to be the way to get stuff done in 1.7. But that just make me want to see you do some kind of luddite Papal States or agrarian Russia or something like that.
I like the fact that you don't try to force the rng and get a good run tbh. It feels like more of an authentic run and it makes me feel better about my absolute dog schnapple rng in my games lol
the dye throughput has been there since the game came out its historically a place where you could mine lapis lazuli which waas used in blue pigments.

Every single vic3 ottoman restoration completely leaves out the moroccan, algerian, austrian and Italian lands that were ACTUALLY THE LANDS THE OTTOMANS HAD LOST BY THEN
I might be a little bit picky here but I don't think that Ottomans ever had any Moroccan territory under their control. Algeria and Tunisia had a beys that recognized the authority of the ottoman sultan but the sultanate of Morocco himself was never subjugated.
However I'm not all-knowing so maybe it was otherwise during a short period
@@Yorohan the sultanate was vassalized for a short period of time as tributaries but due to multiple ottoman defeats in the 17th century in Europe, their influence faded away
34:09 Charity hospitals doesn't increase literacy rate. Pops get additional education access based on levels of wealth, not standard of living. While hospitals raise SOL, they don't do so by affecting your pops wealth level, so investing into health institutions will increase the SOL of your pops, but won't actually make them more wealthy + literate

6:15 ludi if have all dlc's then you could just exike the land owner guy cause he is always moderate which means he will choose an idealogy against your goverment and with power of dlc you could give him his old job as the leader of land owner which makes land owners ban both serfdom and slavery. It use to always work but with 1.7.3 update he becomes traditionalist sometimes (mostly) but with some trick of reforming the goverment and starting some legasilations you could make it work like old times. Even if you dont have dlc there is nothing wrong about havind anti slavery agiator.

I just bought the entirety of Victoria 3 content, I pray it will not be as painful to learn how to play as EU4.
The fact that its been so long since this game released and you still cant reclaim all of the levant as the ottomans from one decisive victory is mind boggling

Way easier to grab Persia early, then go for the reclaim Syria and reclaim Egypt tanzimats. Pickup army modernization along the way and then you have your choice of the 4th - usually suppression is easiest since it requires you to do nothing. The education tanzimat is honestly kind of a noob trap.

Reloading doesn't help, unless you restart the entire run. Vic 3 has a random seed for each save file I believe.

u never using a trick where you force a intellietsia a revolution and abdicating to it alongside boosting intelligentsia thought 3-4 lvl5 generals and getting passed basically any law afterwards with 100 legitimacy and +25% authority speed boosts?

AI is way more aggressive. I think they overtuned it slightly but it's made for very fun games.
Ludi, you played tons of test runs and runs in general in 1.7, do you get random income drop? I tried playing as manny Asian countries, Ottobros in parcitulcar and even if I don't build a single construction centre and playing generally very careful and don't spend money on anything crazy I still getting drop in my income to the point of bancrupcy , no expensive institutions that would take much of my bueracracy ,no expensive army setups, it just drops and I don't understand what the schnaps is going on/??

What update did you play with? Patch 1.7.2, released last week, changed a lot the requirements of Tanzimat reforms.

Ludi love the vid im pretty sure you can exile the landowner leader at the start and he can roll an abolitionist, meaning you have landowner support for slavery banned and also landowner support for homesteading

@@ZuperZucker it is, Ive used it mostly on Brazil's start if you continue to exile the landowner he will eventually roll an abolitionist then you can invite him back as an agitator then grant him leadership
