For those studying this piece like I am, and want to be able to listen to specific sections at a time, here are the times at which the different speed markings occur.
0:00 Adagio
0:57 Allegretto
1:27 Allegro Moderato
1:54 Poco Meno Mosso
2:45 Andante

4:53 Allegro
Dimple Loamsdown, you legend, thank you, I owe my life to you now.
Yea this song changes it’s tempo too much it’s rather confusing
Tks
I have been playing violin for 6 years and I'm finally assigned this amazing piece
+Max Butler Really? I've been playing for 6 years too.
same here, well, I've been playing for 4, but happy nonetheless.
TIM MCAULIFFE Good for you, you must be a pretty fast learner.
***** I didn't start tlll I was 5 :( But I've wanted to play since I was two, it's just that my parents are stubborn.
I got assigned to it after 2
I am proud to say that I am playing this piece
Best edition. The stop and speed is perfect.
What I love about this piece is that it's a whole lot easier to play than it sounds.
Yeah, I think so too. I've been practising it for the past year or so, and I'm finally on the last page with the insane double stops and scales. It is easy if someone takes it bit by bit, variation by variation, and completes it that way, without thinking about the big picture until the end. To me, Vivaldi's La Folia is easier, if I can remember... I believe there was simply just less shifting:)
Love this piece, challenging but satisfying
I have been learning the violin for 1 year and I love practicing this piece!!
The first time I played this in concert as a solo MY dumb ads had stage fright after 14yrs of lessions and practice! Lol but I guess it happens to almost everyone. I like this song b
I'm playing this piece at concerts after 3 years of studying violin. Loved it
These CZcamss have been very helpful to my progress. Thanks for posting them!
Best. Profile. Picture. Ever.

I love ❤️ this song and even I don’t do this song,I still practice La Folia.
Its amazing... I am now practicing it on the violin and its super hard
+Luc Baerwind Same, especially the double stops!
Yea...!!!! But I am already done with it... (I DID IT!!!!!)
Luc Baerwind this piece is really easy compared to the original, the original is decently hard.
Randomness in videos ooooooo we have similar usernames!!!!!!!
Anyone on here who says that since the instrument in the picture does not have a chin rest it is a viola is completely wrong. Violas and violins are most often fitted with a chin rest, however both the violin and viola could be played without one. The picture IS a violin because of the fact it has a steel (or other metal) e string and it needs a plastic bridge protecter, which you can see on the left side of the instrument because of the image being mirrored.
I had to play without one at a concert because just before when we began, it fell out. It was quite do-able, although harder, for I had to bring my head down an amount more.
good spot, not many people know the difference in sound or visually, I'm sure this person didn't realise just that it was a visually dynamic image
I play the violin, i'm in book 5 of suzuki. I love that music, it is my favorite.
THIS SONG GIVES ME NIGHTMARES CUZ I PLAYED IT FOR THESE AUDITIONS GAHHH
Same
Its a piece, not a song
i played it for one of my school's talent shows
That violin is pretty! : ) I want to hear this song on a stratavarious!
You can listen to Enescu play it on the Guarnerius :). I don't know if Thibaud, Menuhin, Perlman etc. ever recorded this though. They did all use Stradivarius.
Every violin is made without chin rest. You can put it on and off. You probably 've never seen a violin without a chin rest, that's possible, but the picture is a violin without chin rest, and mirrored :)
Omg, I didn't even notice the violin in the picture was missing a chin rest!
This is the best interpretation of Corelli's La Folia. It is the most perfect version one can find.
who is the violonist and the pianist?
Personally, I like this version better: czcams.com/video/Ec_b6ytcBMs/video.html
Mr. Koji Toyoda is violinist I am quite certain. This sounds like his recording, which I possess a copy of.
Wow I like this song
4:17 my favorite part 😡😳
Actually, playing near the bridge gives a louder and cleaner sound, especially on the E string. But bow pressure and bow speed also creates a louder volume.
The clearest sound comes from between the fingerboard and the bridge because playing too close to the bridge causes a more "grindy" sound.
I'm 12 and have just learnt this off by heart and it is not as hard as it sounds
I like this song. I played it yesterday
Nice Piece
how could it be cill at first and then swoosh swoosh swoosh
Great Song!!!!!!!
Its funny how almost everyone here has no profile picture or their profile is actually who they are. This is the sophisticated side of youtube....
You're a wolf?
you'er mom gay?
It sounds like there's clipping in the audio. Also, this violinist's bow placement, though not wrong, seems it could be more pleasant if a little further away from the bridge.
👍
I have one month to prepare this until my recital
Does it actually matter if its a violin or a viola??
Not really...
hola el usuario @nuzpudash podria decirme si estas grabaciones son las que trae el metodo suzuki originalmente? o sea si son de los cds que vienen con el libro? o son grabaciones de otra fuente? saludos :) y gracias por compartir :)
Anyone here in 2021!?
just because there isn't a chinrest doesn't automatically mean that the stringed instrument in the picture is a viola. Violins can be chinrest-less as well. :P
*99% Of the Comments are about the picture wether it is a violin or viola*
*2% are about the piece itself*
*1% of the comments are about progress on learning this piece*
.......... is it just me???
99%, 2%, 1%, THAT DOESN’T MAKE 💯% NANIII
Ah yes, the 101% of commenters...
Does anyone know whose I can find the piano part for this song??
I see violas very day, and although you can't tell for sure from this angle, the distance between the f holes and the bridge is much larger on a viola. :)
¿Estas buscando mi comentario, no?XD
Awesome
Hey, does anyone know if this is the same version as from the one on the CD?
it isn't
Beautiful

I suposed this song was named "madness", cuz La Follia means it, isnt ?
Piece *
to be honest, most violas ive seen do have a chin rest... dont they?
For both violin and viola, the chin rest is an extension. It is much like a shoulder rest, except extremely more common. It does not come with the instrument when created, but almost any instrument sold will come with one.
👌
"What song is this?" I ask CZcams. "Darude Sandstorm," it replies.
+Awesomeness Le Funnily enough, part of this song is my final that I have to practice for, but then I started playing Darude Sandstorm to take a break.
It's a synchronicity :D
It is La Folia from Suzuki Book 6
Is the folia by coreli
shazam gotta level up its game ngl
I played violin for 7 years and I'm now 11 and still this piece is solo easy for me
I've played violin for 9 years, and I love this piece too ^-^

In the photo is a viola ? and in the "song" is a violin?
It is a violin :). You would also call it a piece since it has no lyrics :).
Op Ib theme
It's definitely a violin.
wow
이거 연주한 분 누군지 알려주세요
me recordo a ib XD
if the violinist wanted a louder sound then they would press harder on the bow giving a more gritty sound rather than playing near the bridge which is wrong, as a violinist myself I know how this works
Emily Maclean Then this proves you are not a good violinist.
Playing near the bridge gives a brighter sound.
Pressing harder is also a way but it produces an unpleasant sound.
Ma Martin I agree with you, but what do you mean by brighter? Louder? Or more clear? I believe that playing in between the fingerboard and bridge gives a clearer sound. However, the closer you are to the bridge the louder it will sound.
Usually you would have a chin rest yes... Viola is not THAT much bigger then a violin.
+Emily Maclean
The fact you think this is a viola proves you aren't a violinist, or you aren't a very good one for that matter. Also, not just one variable effects the sound your bow placement makes, many do. Oh wait, you wouldn't know, would you.
It is super easy to tell if you are a violinist. You can see the far left string with a little plastic protector (it's on the only string that has a fine tuner). The E string is the only string that needs those protectors. That string is also noticeably thinner, and less prominent in color. If one was to comment that they thought the instrument was a viola, they had to have used something to come to that conclusion. If they had been looking for signs and were indeed a violinist with at least a year of experience, they would have easily noticed that. I think that is why Antonio Stradivari came to the conclusion that Emily was not an experienced violinist, if even one at all.
The comments are for complimenting the piece, not for arguments
@@Jacob-ec6em why not both??
フォリア 常軌を逸した、狂気的な
Lol dis song is like 8 mins!😂
Its not soo god but okay
So bad
there is a chin rest on a violin and there isn't one on a viola; this is a viola
