Larissav_ this place just creeps me out so badly.
Larissav_ it’s not a very old building it’s definitely not the grossest ever they will be okay. It is creepy tho
@@ulnk but still, not any of them is wearing a mask.
I like how he wears masks for those weird “rise above” Japanese lettering clothing ads for the underground look but won’t wear one for that place
@@Basement_Operator ikr haha
josh, it’s so incredibly important that you are wearing gloves and masks and protective gear, going to abandoned places. & this is why...that mold and airborne substances can cause serious health issues, you stepped in the unknown brown “sticky” substance with your shoes that you’re going to walk around town with and back into your apartment and home, your friend touched the hydraulic press handles with his BARE hands at 14:43 AND you used that statue to move the wood infront the doll 11:36 and then later touched your face multiple times with the same hand at 14:55 and 15:00 and 15:10 and 15:20 and there are soooo many more times where there was an issue with not protecting yourself. if you don’t see it for yourself i’ll show you.
I said the same thing
How could he not be careful?? I also see other videos that he did and he walks in buildings that can seriously harm him and he sometimes put on a mask, sometimes don't and sometimes put it on wear it for a short time then took it off
That's exactly what I first think of seeing videos of urbexers not wearing protection. When I'm on a trip, I've got everything in my car to any time I am going to need it. It starts with the right safety shoes & ends up with harness for climbing or securing on high platforms. So I am ready for any scenario, but I mean you don't have to, because in most cases you know where you're heading to, so you pack all the stuff, you think you'll need. 🤣It always feels so uncomfortable to watch. 🤣
Why didn't josh give a ❤️ to this comment
Ikr I always cringe when they touch stuff without gloves. Still love josh lol
What always bothers me is how he rarely wears a mask while walking around in these places full of black mold. He’s going to get really sick from that some day. I love his videos, though. I just worry. 😂
To think that liquid in the basement could be human sludge because when the body decays it releases all the fat 😳😷
That would be a LOT of bodies
Yeah I think I'm gonna get cremated
Grossssss
@@ellej828 nah, itd br about 2 or 3. Depending on size of the person.
@Amazing Me when they first walked in they did say how bad it smells. It probably is from the bodies. You seen how the casket looked all yellowish brown that had the body in it. The body would be filled full of flamydahyde or ever how you spell it.
Dude. Imagine dying and ending up being in a place like this and never getting any closure or resting peacefully? That must be a hell of a nightmare.

😂
One thing: Bodies smell awful when decaying. The smell is not like anything else you're ever going to come across. I'm honestly not sure how people missed it.
Odd-Eyes 94 wouldn’t a decaying human smell similar to a decaying animal like a dog or something because we are animals?
@@AW-zv2to No. Human bodies have a kind of sour scent mixed with the smell of rotten fruit and meat. They don't have that metallic odor that animals do.
The embalming fluid would keep the smell from being horrific. There were no bodily fluids left. Just the skin hair and bone she knew what she was doing. 😪
@@elleuiate6653 Embalming fluid smells aswell, if it leaked.
Probably off their heads on drugs and don't give a shit.
It would be cool if you contact the family of the person who's ashes you found. I'm sure they'd love to have the remains to properly bury them. With the internet, and it being a small town, I bet you could find them.
You could do a video of the whole journey. 👍 😁 ♥

Now if that was me I’ll be glad I was lost , I told my friend if I die cremate me and dump me in the river, don’t want to be in a family book shelf my family had treated me poorly. 😓😔
I do mold inspections all over u need Respirators on you should not be breathing that in
Brian Britman They won’t care until it’s too late
Right?!! I don’t know why they didn’t use respirators when they have in many other videos.
Thank you I was going to say MOLD!
Mold spores are verywhere in general. Ya, they need masks i wint deny. Its just not as bad as yall make it to be.
This "mold inspector" makes his living telling gullible people mold is bad. Don't listen to him mold is natural and had been in buildings for centuries. Most buildings have black mold behind the walls and many, many other places. Mold is perfectly healthy for your lungs there's no evidence that supports it is bad for you.
Why didn’t the local authorities find these people’s families ?! These are someone’s ashes :(
Mainechik81 It said that they couldn’t identify them because they were to decayed
@@rae4958 He is talking about the ashes, not about the bodies.
now that's something
Those ashes were discovered before from a channel Travelz Together! They haven’t been able to figure it out either!
It's sad but some people just don't come back for their loved ones ashes and even if the authority was to find a next of kin the person doesn't have to claim them. Although some people chose to have a cremation where no one attends either because there is no one or that it is what they wished for either way after that it becomes the funeral homes job to scatter the ashes.
Hoped this helped your question
Grave "stones" are most likely samples that were in the funeral home for people to look at and possibly choose.
I used to work in funeral service and can remember when this happened. That whole situation was just all kinds of wrong, and that woman that owned it, nasty. Great explore guys, but that building should be demolished!
Did you kno that the person who owned this funeral home was realised from prison I may try to find her name
Detroit had 3 funeral homes with found remains, one where deceased babies were found up in a ceiling and some more adults were found in a storage shed out back, another had multiple bodies, and a third had close to a hundred cremated remains just sitting in the basement and attic, with more scattered all over the attic (no longer in their bags)
🤮🤮🤮 were they homeless and had no family that’s why nobody claimed their bodies?
That's absolutely awful. Who does things like that? What humans are capable of doing to one another is sickening.
That is real madness right there, if it gets to a point where a funeral director can't handle Thier job they should just quit or retire or just leave that profession all together instead of getting to that point of self destruction. Its not a pleasant job been a funeral parlour etc but they should of got serious help 😞 they obviously had lost their minds & became deranged. Its a frightening job
The neighbors up the street actually reported a foul smell coming from there and that’s how it first got authorities attention
Throw your shoes away and don’t walk in your house w/ those on. Gross.
I think you should've reported the ashes you found in some way, so they can go home their proper families
They have been reported after we explored there, all taken care of.
@@highitszack Thank you, I'm glad to hear that ^^
How would they know who ashes it was
@@luuhtyy-bf1605 There's a certificate on them. They were blurred out in the video, but they probably have names of the people on them
Those metal "tools" you were referring to were old-school curling irons lmao they use them to redo the hair for open casket funerals. Typical style curling iron for African American hair.
I had to take a second look and also saw a hot comb. I thought it was the thing they use to break ribs and stuff tbh.
Onyx Helena Ember-Graves haha. I had to take a second look too and got flashbacks of my old hairdresser accidentally burning the tips of my ears when I was young!
Kristen Scott my grandma be burning me with hot combs
Yep, those hot combs and curlers!
MJ Nice. I didn’t know that.
I couldn’t think of anything more horrifying then to find out a loved one was treated so badly .
Indeed
Josh, I say this bcuz I care about you...Please, you must start using a respirator mask and gloves when exploring especially old structures that have mold. It can take years before you become symptomatic from exposure. Once that happens, you're screwed! You can't undo it. While young, you think it won't happen to you but believe me, it can. A place exposed to bodily fluids and decomposition is badly contaminated. Chances are at least one Aids patient was there at some time. You just don't know what went on there. If they cared so little to do that to people, I'm pretty sure they weren't conscientious about safety and hygiene. It can happen to you. You exposed yourself to a worst case scenario. What's strange is the woman knew she was going to court and could have cleaned the place up, yet she didn't..?? Maybe she didn't feel that she had done anything wrong? Very disturbing to think about 🤔
That’s what I said! 🤮
Glad we got to check that spot out, super sad history and smelled terrible.
Check this guy out everyone! ^^^
Exploring With Josh Check some of your comments my dude. People have made some good points about the ashes but most importantly the info you leaked when u filmed the ashes. People use and sell SS numbers all the time even if those deceased. May want to blur it out a little more.
Where TF are the masks and gloves?
@NotReally Nope, just spams his merch....I'm actually kinda upset that was his response.
“The fan looks sad!”

I feel like I can smell the whole place through the screen 🤮

I wonder if the doll 11:40 was doll they used to put a child's ashes into. I saw a tag attached to the doll but, couldn't read it. It could also just be an antique doll with no ashes. Either way creepy. Stay safe!
I would call the family members to see if they would like their loved ones ashes. So they can put them to rest and the family members can have closure. Just a thought
Julie Phillips call them how? They’ve been there for over 20 years.
How do you contact the families?

You missed somebody’s ashes mate.....they were in the box in a bag on the alter in memorial hall....
@6:22
I discovered those and pulled the box out places it next to the other box.
Your vids are the best to watch while being stuck at home 😭😭
The cremated ashes you found are most likely from family’s that did not pick there loved ones up from the funeral home. Funeral homes are required to keep the ashes that have not been picked up.
The ashes at this place were most likely unclaimed rather than neglected. It's sad but it much more common than you think for families to just not pick up cremated remains. As for the liquid in the basement it's really unlikely it's any kind of human remains or fluids especially if the place was shut down so long ago
It was interesting and sad, but what they should do with the building is demolish it. And put a memorial garden in place of the deceased R.I.P 🥀🌹
Who’s gonna pay for all that
@@mr16325 the arsehole responsible that's who. This place is an eyesore and should be pulled down immediately. Still got ashes of people in here. Disgusting 😡

It makes me so so sad that the bodies were just left there. Imagine how the family felt when they found out their loved one was just sitting there for years alone. No closure. So sad
I know this place, it's a short distance from my 2nd cousin's house & it was at one time a very respected funeral home & it was a shock to many when all this came to light. I'm at awe that there still human remains there. Thank you for being respectful!

Baz Mulcahy how do you know
7:25 EMBALMING ROOM, Where the bodies are embalmed, so they don't decay as quickly.
I work in a funeral home in Germany and I’m pretty much VERY confused about the rules in the US. How are the ashes not burried? You have to bury them here in Germany, and there is no way of keeping them for yourself.
Here in the the state .you bury ashes with a live that is getting buried .and we little volts masaliam. To put ash in .
You have a few options here in the US on how to keep or bury the ashes of family and sometimes friends depending on the wishes of the person that passed
in the us you can keep them if you would like or the person had it in their will on what to do with them. some people put them into necklaces, and keep the rest of them in a cremation box. otherwise they probably bury the ashes.
I found josh when he only had 100k subscribers, I'm so happy his channel grown this much. You deserve it bruh.
The liquid in the basement is human juice.
Yeah that's not formaldehyde
The funeral may have had plumbing issues and the body fluids backed up. The body fluids go into the septic tank or a sewer during embalming.
eeew like body fat, making it oily and slippery 🤢
Don’t they blow up too I heard
SoRandomTV no as part of the autopsy the coroner pricks the distended guts and releases all the gas. The body doesn,t start to run tuntil second stage of Decom. I could talk about stuff like this because I,m not squeamish. Lol
Please contact the authorities or local news outlet and tell them there are still Cremains left on site.
It's not uncommon for funeral homes to have cremated remains in storage for years, sometimes they can go back a lot of years. Its mainly because families just don't collect, they may not be ready and then forget ect theres many reasons 😊 I work in a funeral home so love this explore, I've literally binge watched your explores I'm a amateur photographer and have a thing for urban exploring so thank you from the UK and stay safe dude 😊

I’ve watched your youtube for years now. My mam watched an episode with me today she said you seem to be a lovely man and that it was great what you were doing very interesting. Loads of love from Dublin Ireland☘️🇮🇪
What the funeral home operator did was inexcusable. Now you found even two more left behind. One thing I noticed about the casket. It's made in reverse. The head is normally on the left end, but on this one it's on the right end. I'm curious why. I have the same feeling about this explore that you did. I normally think they're cool and interesting, but in this case I don't since the story behind it is so awful. I saw in Robb's video (I think) you had contacted the family of one of the cremated remains and were attempting to contact the other. Thank you for doing that.
