- Shivabalayogi enjoyed cooking and feeding devotees. In this video, we see Swamiji cooking pullao, a rice & vegetable dish, in his personal puja room.
Typically on Sundays, Swamiji would cook a dish to be shared with the devotees staying at the ashram. He never followed a recipe, but he was very particular. His dishes were prasad (blessed food), and they always tasted better than anyone could reproduce.
This video was recorded in 1994, not long before Swamiji's mahasamadhi.

I was so surprised. He looked so normal. So engrossed in the cooking.
Is he the same yogi of unimaginable spiritual heights?
Then I told myself. "Dont be decieved. This is his maya. He looks like a normal person. But he's surely not."

Quite right. These were the feelings I had being around him: so ordinary, joking and sweet; but knowing and feeling the profound depth of his being. I see that in all yogis.

What? A spiritual master casually drinking coca cola with lunch? Okay, i understand.. no "poison" can affect an enlightened being but still.. i thought sattvic minds were not attracted by tamasic foods. And i mean, coca cola is pretty much as unhealhy as it gets drink-wise.
When you encounter a yogi you will realize just how many preconceptions you have.
Is he really saint??
No. He is a yogi.
